What an absolutely absurd opinion; you perform you get voted or voted back. If INC is destroyed from its high of 415 seats, it is only because of extremely poor performance / governance. Modi coming back with higher majority and from all states is testament to the delivery by this govt. Nothing Baru said made sense or rang true. Just a rant of someone made irrelevant

@@ravi-it3vj there is no justification for the mayor election fiasco but don’t blame the BJP for the hapless and poor-performing opposition, an unholy alliance of opportunists desperately trying to stay relevant. They cldnt find a common face, a common voice or a common agenda to take to the people beyond defeating the BJP. The less I speak abt INC and its decimation, the better.

Baru is letting his anti-Modi prejudices take control of his brain & tongue as well. He worked with a weak, namby-pamby PM, who had no courage to even open his mouth, and he had MMS's ear and even felt himself in control. He knows that Modi would have made him as a chaprasi, hence this diatribe.

Each and every argument by any Modi hater begins and ends with personal glory. Personal glory for chief ministers, personal glory for gandhi family, personal glory for family run parties... Not even one argument they make takes into account what's good for the nation. That's why they lose, and that's why Modi wins.

Rajiv Gandhi got 400+ when he was a political novice. Modi isn't one. He earned his position. He learnt a lot on his way to the top. Political savvy.
Rajiv Gandhi was going by his coterie's advice. On Shah Bano, Babari Masjid gate opening, etc. Modi thinks through everything by himself applying his vast experience.
Farm Laws will be brought back by Modi when he gets 400 seats.
Indira Gandhi pulled off Pokhran nuclear test and breaking of Pakistan into two precisely because she was powerful. She was more powerful than the army chief too, and thus India remained a democracy.
Rajiv Gandhi had powerful ministers. V. P.. Singh himself was his finance minister. Look where that got him.
BJP ministers are comfortable with a powerful Prime Minister. They are performing excellently too under Modi. Just look at Nithin Gadkari, for example. Look at S Jaishankar, who is a career diplomat brought in by the Prime Minister himself. That has worked great for India.
If a weak man would galvanize the party cadre to work hard and bring out voters to the poll booth, why isn't that happening in the case of the Congress.
Powerful regional satraps are a great thing to have? Like Sharad Pawar and Mamata Banerjee? Sanjaya Baru might wish Shivraj Singh Chouhan had broken away similarly and formed a regional party of his own, but BJP leaders don't behave in such manner.
The BJP cadre, the RSS cadre isn't like the Congress. They have a multi-decadal, a Civilizational project going. They aren't just after power for power's sake like the Congressis. They have an ideology, a higher call, a zeal to put Bharath at the top. The BJP cadre won't stop working zealously towards their goal any time soon.
Sanjaya Baru is so wrong. His whole thesis is so wrong.
I think he knows it too. He just wrote stuff to be in the limelight for a while. He very well knows people will shred his arguments to pieces. Still, he wrote this. He just wants to be talked about.
    What a waste.

Barkha ma'am, autocratic leadership, centralized power is not separate from the fact of shoddy governance. These two factors are inter-dependent.

    1. Sanjay is a smart sickular. Instead of saying ''Ayega to Modi Hi but with a much fewer seats'', he is saying who wants 400+ when 270+ will do as well!!! He adds BJP walahs in his list!!! 2. Modi is the supreme leader and will remain so as long as he is around. No one can come closer to him even after next 5 years. And no one minds it too, even if Sanjay wants to believe otherwise. He need not offer unasked for and unwanted advise to BJP either!! 3. Of course, during Modi 3.0, such talks will be a daily fare in the media, as there would be nothing else to do to bring or show down Modi 3.0 !! 4. Unfortunately for Sanjay, Congress treats him with contempt and where else he will go? May be he is getting old now and his thoughts reflect this!!! Also, both Barkha and Sanjay are in the same boat; they are in wilderness and are looking forward to good old days!!! 5. Be careful. To take care of low turnout mainly from middle class voters, Modi will introduce online voting by 2029. After all, if we do all our financial transactions online, then why not voting online? at least optional

Datt madam is very hopeful that BJP gets not above 270. She seems gleefully enthusiastic discussing this. She will be savouring this till the day of counting of votes. 😂😂😂.
This man is giving wrong analogy. Because so far no one in BJp becomes president just based on birth or family. Modi doesn’t have family member in politics. Naturally, there will be other person to lead.
In case of congress, Rahul, priyanka, Robert vadra and their son- in this order.

What a joke of an opinion from the obviously frustrated Sanjsy Baru - this guy was in the PMO when files were sent from PMO to Sonia Gandhi who had no official position in the office.
And he’s talking about concentration of power? Has he totally lost it?
Barkha - even you didn’t ask him about that or give him that analogy? But I guess you failed at your job long back!
