- I’ve noticed a theme lately on many of my dating advice videos where people are just too afraid to talk to their crush much less ask them out! So here are some thoughts on getting over those fears!

SAME. It's the act of going talk to my crush that scares me to death, my anxiety won't even let me do it ,I'm just too afraid to look awkward or make him uncomfortable.
I actually got the courage to tell my crush that I like him just recently and he asked me out. We had a great time😊

I agree that the only thing holding one back is the fear of rejection. I tried to ignore that and just went for it. Yeah I got rejected after asking him out, but it was fun to know that I could do it and it made me feel proud of myself. Better to know for sure than always thinking 'what if'.

the problem is: what do I say? because I have no thematics or specific reason to talk to her. So, I'm afraid that whatever I say to her will come across as trying to hit on her right off the bat.
I’m really nervous
When I was in high school, it took me 8 months to finally just say hi to a girl I liked. She seemed nice and was always smiling at everyone. When I finally said hi to thus seemingly nice girl, she snapped at me and yelled, "leave me alone". I don't get how she was nice yo everyone, but then decided to hate me. 76 bad experiences and 27 years later, I am no better off.
My crush likes me back and we text allll the time but are to awkward to talk at school..
I’m just sad because I can’t seem to have the courage to talk to her. I keep telling myself that there’s no way she’s single, she’s beautiful. I’m scared, she works at the gym. And I’m afraid that if I try something I’ll get looked at bad by the other staff that I have some what of good relationships with.

I don't talk to guys first because as a girl, I like being pursued. I hate having to be the one that always has to make conversation first.
I always preferred for the girl to come talk to the guy. For me personally, it helps me read what kind of person you are. Like “ohh this girl is really chill and so nice, I like talking to her” so the next day when I see the girl, I can approach her easily and talk

The first time I had a crush on someone, I was 16 years old and he and my dad use to work at the supermarket. His name is Robin. He's taller than me (6ft something), attractive, heartwarming person, sweetie, and beautiful smile. Every time I see him, my heart was racing and feel to shy talking to him because I have a huge crush on him that I don't even know what to say to him. Most of the time, he and I would say hi and hug

I legit became friends with my crush in 7th and talked to him throughout 8th grade. Then online learning happened. We're still at the same school now (it's a middle and high school) but I have talked to him twice since then. I'm in 11th grade now.

Okay I have crush on this girl right, for Valentine’s Day I got her some flowers and what not and I had the courage to ask her out we have yet to go on one but I always get afraid to go up to her and whenever she sees me she smiles and blushes. I'm a gay man who's crushing on a guy who I know nothing about. I don't even know his name. I feel he knows i like him according to a few moments (stares, staring and both of us looking away, him looking at my back side as I passed him by, etc). The problem is that I'm too awkward, insecure and crazy to talk to him. I can almost see the annoyance on his face on Friday nights, possibly due to my cowardice. He's a butch/macho sort of guy and quite frankly I just want to hookup with him and give "it" up to him easily with no reservations. I mean if he wanted more that's fine too but idk. Hopefully he knows, and will make me his booty-call. I think what I want is simple.....unless he's straight, married or whatever. I have an irrational fear that if i ever tell him I want him that he'll gay bash me in front of everyone. Also, another reason it's hard to talk to him is that I always see him at his place of employment. He's a deckhand (so hot I can't even deal any longer!!!) on the ferry boat I take home. I'm considering telling him I like him next week and giving him my number so I can really let him know my intentions.
