Thank you so much for doing a side by side comparison at EACH point. The tumbler was a great reference point.
Thanks for checking it out 😃

I’ve just got the mini and have to say the bag looks great on me, as a woman with a slim body shape. It’s cinches down really well and I didn’t notice it swing when full (with some not very heavy items, granted). The shoulder strap is comfortable. I think it’s a great bag for those who think the Kadet is just too long for their body shape or are concerned about the belt buckle being too uncomfortable on their chest.
Great video, I now can confidently say I want the regular size.
Great video, helped me pick the full size Kadet! Thanks!
Insightful comparison 👍
A lot of people complaining about the lack of organization on these bags. I fixed this problem with a tech pouch inside my full size kadet.
I would rather have a removable organizer inside than more and organized pockets. It get quite heavy really fast, if you sew organizers, mesh and pockets inside. Not even speaking of the added costs. I mean, it's 90$. Thats quite cheap for a bag like this (high quality material, custom buckle, lifetime warrenty etc.).
Now i have a kind of lightweight bag with a big volume, where i can fit a ton of stuff inside when i need it (e.g. grocerys) . Otherwise I carry it with a Bellroy Desk Pouch inside for my daily needs.
Thanks for sharing!
what kinda pouch are you using?
@@knab2831 I’m using the Bellroy Desk Caddy. It fits perfectly.
Randiah looks like she's ready to do some parkour. Interesting pack for sure. Thanks for the review.
Hi, I wanted to know which of the 2 chrome kadet is more resistant as a fabric the blckchrm 22x or the other black aluminum version?
i need that stabilizer strap on the min Kadet.
Thanks for making this video makes me feel more comfortable with my purchase. Glad I went with the normal kadet. I need that space forsure lol
How do you like it so far? 🧐
-Eric
@@PackHacker2 love it so much space for my needs and just over all comfortable. Def doesn’t feel cheaply made and man the buckle sheesh it’s a solid bag for me.
Hi! Can you wear the mini Kadet on the hip like a fanny pack?
Great review! I have to know what brand of watch/bracelet it is your wearing?
Hi im from Malaysia ….may i know other sling bag that have design like Aer day 2 but a little bit bigger?thanks btw….
Got the regular kadet today and inside the main compartment I've found a pocket that can hold a phone, other than the big pocket and pen slot; maybe it's an updated version
I tried out a bunch of different slings to find the ultimate edc for my flow - out of everything i ended up choosing the generic REI sling from their travel section -its very similar to the mini cadet accept the REI sling has a slimmer strap with a magnetic release that comes in handy -these look super solid -appreciate the water bottle fit test to give us actual feel of the capacity :)
Can I fit an iPad Pro 12.9 on the normal kadet?
I probably said this on one of your videos but I wish they had a medium kadet with the stabilizer. The big one seems a bit over kill for what I need. Like I might as well wear a small backpack at that point. But I still want something I can get a bottle and sweatshirt in along with a couple pouches and snacks.
That's what I'm thinking. What did you end up going with?
@@rainbowpanic5632 I have the regular kadet. I like it, I still maintain above... About it's size. I have never got around to it, but I'm going to place snaps on the straps at the bottom, maybe Velcro the bottom of the bike lock sleeve, and somehow divide the back pocket in the main compartment into 2 ... They sell an insert to divy up the main compartment but it's like $35.
@@rainbowpanic5632 if chrome is listening...a smidgeon thicker and a little taller, but not as big as this xl...better versatility on the pockets (kind like the hidden pocket in the mini...why nothing in the regular sz?)
I’ve got the Kaden Mini and it’s just not fit for purpose. It has a major design flaw in the the centre of gravity is all wrong. This bag desperately wants to slip and slide around to your front with every movement you make. The padded strap is too short and the bag is designed to sit high on your shoulder. Gravity says otherwise and it just pulls the bag down and around your body. It’s not a good bag. You can’t run with it, can’t skate or cycle with it. It doesn’t even really work for casual walking. It’s an annoying bag that will never break because it’s built out of great materials with amazing construction. Just terrible to wear.
*Kadet
@@morning_sounds I’ve gotten the Kadet Mini in Blckchrm 2 weeks ago and have been wearing it almost every day ever since. I find that the bag sits better than Aer City Sling. It might be due to the fact that I do not sling the Kadet Mini as high as It’s designed to be
Agreed. Glad I checked this out before making the leap. OG big kadet it is.
@@magnusfox777 OG kadet has the same problem, but it has a stabilizer strap that helps keeps it in place.
@@KenjiKT I think that’s always the problem with messenger style bags they slip around and down without the extra strap.
Purchased the Mini Kadet...which I really like. Except that the strap is way too short for a person wearing a large winter coat...or for a large person wearing a lightweight coat. Is the strap length for the "regular" Kadet the same? I'm needing to pay a tailor to add nylon webbing to the Mini-Kadet strap for fit.
Thanks for the insights 🤙
-Eric
Honest to God, a velcro field on the front of the Kadet / Kadet Mini / Kadet LTD would make the bag(s) PERFECT imo
You missed the secret pocket on the mini
Where can i buy the watch you wearing, looks cool
It looks like a Void Watch PXR5.
Tried the mini. Wanted to like it but the strap is too short to wear over coat. A few inches more of adjustment is needed.
Sorry to hear that - hope you find one that works for you!
- Austin
good video thx
Thanks for checking it out! 😃
-Eric
Is it possible to put a dslr like the Sony a7 ii with f.e. a 50mm into the mini?
I think the normal Kadet is a bit to large then I’d rather take my photo bag but the mini seems to have a good size if a dslr fits?
it would definitely fit, look up "bigheadtaco Chrome Mini Kadet"
I feel like the d-ring is on the wrong end of the bag. Everything slides to that “bottom” side when you wear it. Would be much better to spread things around with a d-ring on the other side to keep keys, etc towards the “top” of the bag.
Thanks for the insight 😃 We’ll see you in the next one!
-Eric
I'm really surprised that no one commented that there is a stabilizer strap available on their website for the mini Kadet. It's $10 and totally worth it.
🤙🤙🤙
the mini needs a strap. it really is unusable without it but very comfortable with a basic one I added.
how did u add it?
Does the mini have the capacity to fit a normal ipad in a case?
Yes it does. You can't fit it into the sleeve, but it does fit inside the main compartment well. I would also make sure you keep it in a case as there is no padding to help in case of a drop.
Will it fit a 12.9 inch ipad pro?
Can you fit a 13" MacBook in the full size one?
Sure, along with 3 power macs and a 50" display!
We were not able to fit one in the Kadet.
- Austin
My naked 13" Macbook Pro barely fits in my full size Kadet. Couldn't try it with a really thin sleeve (like wool), but it might fit.
@@PackHacker2 how about premier armor panel
Yeeks tho
Seems weird to me how they randomly have Cordura on the left side instead of X-Pac. It gives it an inconsistent look. And that obnoxious logo...
No stabilizer is the deal breaker.
Would've been flawless with a stabilizer.
@@antbrooks1625 Truly. I Sprang for the full size with the Black chrome x22 light materials and it just came in a couple days ago.
It's amazing. And the straps squeeze it flat so it's pretty streamlined when it's empty.
@@magnusfox777 Good to know. Might buy one tonight or tomorrow.
@@magnusfox777 Do you still like it? My patagonia disappeared and I loved it but want something different if I'm buying another bag. I got an Osprey daylite and it's a huge letdown.
@@mj-np9sy im sorry to hear that man. Yeah it still Rocks. i wore it everyday this summer, biked everyday so it was drenched in sweat and sand from the beach. i took it to my laundry and they washed so now it's as good as new again. money well spent!
Would Kel tec sub 2000 fit?
For those wondering if it fits.....it fits like a glove. Got it a week after the channel owner ignored my and many others comments. You'll be a CZcams star in no time dork
He’s prob a leftie who hates the 2A
Terrible they should of put more pockets in these and zips.
Not ambidextrous 👎🏾
