She went straight into character 😂😂
Facts. A true master of her craft. When you get a chance, You should look up when Shaq asked Denzel to do the “King Kong Line” on Sports Center. You won’t be disappointed
Scripted 📚 📜
@@Reverend-Race-Horsey”straight into character” means she really made that skit believable..
Ima new underground artist tryna build a fanbase, is my music fire?
"I HATE YOU JODY" 😂😂😂
You know Jody and Yvette be fighting in the car. 😂
Tina & Ike style
“GIMME MY CHANGE”-Yvette 😂😂😂
Yep. Probably right before they got there too. 😂😂
Amongst other things in the car😏
@@Prince-qr1te mmhmm. 🤣🤣
It's 2024 and Jody still looking for his son. 😂
Yes, it is!
This was 15 yrs ago so his son probably got his own house now
@@nadecha5326 Yes, it was!
😂😂😂
@@tonrae 😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Taraji and the most 2000's haircut ever.
😂😂😂😂
She bad tho ngl
It is from 2009 so makes sense...
@@jayredmon3769Nawl fr I always said this
Broo i swear i had to look 4 time cause i was sure it was a throw back Lmaooooo 😂😂
Man B.E.T back then was so special ❤️❤️❤️ I miss it so much
That’s a whole Fact!
Exactly!!
Back when they used to show baby boy 24/7? That hurt more than helped
Agreed
Factz
R.I.P John Singleton
Wth I didn't know he died!! 😱
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
@@kenyaouko7388a while ago
@@kenyaouko7388he’s been gone for 5 years. Heart attack & stroke
R.I.P John he is definitely missed
One of the most toxic movies that we love!!😂😂
As a Black Nationalist and Pan Africanist…. It hurts me to admit I still kinda like this movie 😅😅😅😅
@@Meta_Meech 😂😂 no judgement here!!
Yesssssssss !!!!!!!! We was there for all the toxic effects!!!!!!! 😍😍😍😂😂😂😂😂😂 I love our Black Stories.....
I know that movie word for word
It's 2009: Bey & Hov smiling in the front row. Kanye looks healthy and smiling - even though he brought Amber. And, the BET Awards is fun bc Black celebrity isn't based upon social media. Real singers, real actors, real rappers and quality Black film and television.
You said everything right but you didn't have to burn Amber like that.
💯💯💯
Good Times
It’s this comment right here for me!!
You covered all the things I noticed 💯!
I remember this! It was the same time Michael Jackson died and they dedicated the show to him. Everyone was sad but taraji and Tyrese brought some light to the show❤
Omg so this was 2009. My daughter was born the day Michael Jackson died. June 25 2009. She was born at 5am and by 10am it was all over the news. Can't beleive it's been almost 15 years. I miss the 2000s era. Nothing will ever be like the 90s and 2000s I'd say before 2010. I miss it so much
@@ananiaswosencroft9966mine is June 26. I was sad knowing he passed the day before my birthday. I’m 31 now.
My son was born June 25 of 97
@@ananiaswosencroft9966my little sister was born June 25 2009 also. That day the sky went pitch black all of a sudden, and that was around the time we found out MJ passed. Bittersweet day for us.
Rip MJ, they brought light and Chris brought a little bit of Mike back that night 🙏🏽🙏🏽💯
Taraji stay ready!! Just love her😊
You ain’t never lie. I ran into her in timesquare . She had that same attitude. Lol
Nice. Would love to meet her...she would be definitely be on my ultimate dinner guest list@@blackcapone187
they don’t make movies like this no more !
💯
Thank God
They on tubi
Good 😂
Good.
The role Jody, was supposed to be played by. The late & great infamous Tupac Shakur! But because of his passing. They put the role off on hold. Years, later Mr. Tyrese won the part.. And I'm so glad he did. Because it fits him perfectly💎
Yes it does fit him perfectly but I'm sure Tupac would've done a great job also.
Whew! I couldn't see Tupac playing a man-child, though. That would've been a hard watch.
Pac woulda smashed that role lets be honest
Make a lot of sense because Tyrese is 8yrs younger than taraji but pac and taraji the same age
You know this was special. Even Kanye was laughing. This particular moment was the icing on the cake for this show. I love it!
I love Taraji she is so real!!
I can’t believe this is now 15 years ago! Wow this was after MJ’s passing. What a hilarious segment to get people’s spirits up.
Back when BET awards was an A-list show an network with top stars in the crowd, now it features Crisean Roc, an Sexy Red 😭😭😭
Facts and real talent an amazing performances
Yes, because Baby Boy wasn't a stereotypical black movie. 😂
😂😂😂😂
It’s her walk for me 😂
This movie laid the foundation for *_"baby mama/ baby daddy culture."_* Now, there are millions of Yvette's & Jody's in this country.
Interesting perspective
I realized that depending on the environment you were raised in, you have to make a choice of accepting maturity with a little bit of sense of humor to enjoy life as possible or remain immature to deal with the pain and frustrations of not accepting responsibilities of growth.
Directed by RIP John Singleton!
Taraji P. Henson & Tyrese Gibson played Yvette & Jody in Baby Boy (2001) & they played Camille & Angel in Four Brothers (2005)!
They are so happily together!! 😊😊
I remember watching this live. It was the week MJ passed. I was only 14.
Me too!!! And everybody said Chris Brown was faking those tears during the Man In the Mirror tribute.
yes! it was right before i went to high school in august 2009. i was 13. i'm 28 now 🤯
I ❤ how Taraji got right into character…..Jody my Jody…..it would be really wild if Rodney showed up
Summer 2009 man smh, the fact that they had to scramble and try to dedicate it to MJ at the last minute was crazy, but despite that we had some great moments like this here 😂. I miss these days so much 🙏.....
'09 was lit
Yes, it was!
One of best bet awards... Didn't Jeezy preform that year too
@@Hiphopsessions No, he didn't...
@@dezmondharris3644 he definitely did I watched it live on TV in 2009 😂 it was either 08 or 09
@@Hiphopsessions Definitely. It was 2009. 😂😂
Her acting ability is unmatched!! I love Taraji!! Favorite actress hands down
For those who don't remember the rest of this moment: Ving Rhames came on stage seconds later. It seemed like he was intoxicated cause he saying wild sh!t to the audience. And then Ving & Tyrese was staring each other down acting like they were going to fight. Couldn't tell if they were still acting or not but then Taraji quickly announced the winner which was Beyoncé
If it was real we all know Ving would have beat the brakes off Tyrese lmao
Exactly!!! They didn't even show the whole segment!!!!
Yep that was bet in a nut shell. .. ratchetness . Something goes off the rail. And then beyonce wins an award😂😂😂
MICHAEL JACKSON WAS THE GUNS. ALL THE OTHER BULLSHIT! THAT'S THE BUTTA!! lmfao
I REMEMBER THIS AND THEY HAD TO CUT THE CAMERAS. GOOD LUCK FINDING IT
Legends 🙏🏾 give them their flowers now
Thank you for all of your magical directing, that gave us so many classics and memories Mr. Singleton! You are truly missed on this side. Continue to RIP 🕊️
Taraji was mad funny pulling that transformers line 😂💯
Eh Eonh, Eh Eonh!
when life was good, no covid, no instagram, no tiktok, we still bought CDs, times have really changed 😖
You forgot Facebook and twitter.
The way she just flipped into character, body language and all speaks to her talent. We see you Taraji.
Baby Boy was Awesome.
They need to do one with Waist Deep with him and Meagan Good
Dat line and movie will never get old shout to Yvette and Jody

Man 90’s/00’s era was the best! Times were so much simpler back than, I miss the old times so much.
She can really act. I’m peeping every reaction, facial expression, tone. I love it!🙌🏾
They went into character so quick man if this not professionalism 😂
Baby Boy and Poetic Justice are GOAT 🐐 movies.
I’m so glad that they uploaded this. They swipe it everytime somebody else do and before that it was only available on the website during that era
Taraji so hood and I love it❤❤

Definitely.
This was the one of the best moment for an award show that was plagued with a lot of sadness, especially with the circumstances of Michael Jackson’s death days prior…
Lmao I still love this.

I would've busted out laughing if Tyrese sung "Lately"! 😂
This is whej the BET AWARDS use to be fun ☺️
Big facts I miss all the old bet awards
I stop watching it when Lil Nas X performed. Real 'A' list Celebrities don't even come anymore . It's getting crazy. The music and hip hop is trash now. Songs Autotune, Rap Autotune....I listen to old jams and new music by old artist from my generation 80's 90's
She is our girl ❤❤❤❤ point blank period
Taraji::::"I want you to transform right now.."
Hee hun hee hun lol😂😂😂
🤣This Was GOLDEN !

Baby Boy needs to be a series that tackles relationship issues
This has become an increasingly hood classic as we got older we began to understand the love in these flaw relationships
