That digital blur effect is more distracting than it is doing any good, even when it is working "as intended" like with shots at 4:58 where all the edges are blurry for no real reason. It would be best to use real lens (of a camera) or simply omit any form of blur if filming with a cellphone.

As a military rifle this will probably be fielded with several devices up front so the light front end is unlikely to be a problem.

I'd have loved if they also imported the musket version right from the beginning. That's what bullpup rifles are for.. Make a "short" rifle TINY or make a LONG rifle much more compact. 20" and 5.56 go together so fantastically well and helps make bulk ammo viable ammo.

You'd hope that sensible armies would specify a longer barrel too. If the point of a bullpup is to get the maximum propellant efficiency and accuracy out of a package then the 20in barrel would seem to be a better choice. That gives you a weapon the same length as an M4 but much better suited to the infantry trade.

I like the bullpup format, I recognize it's limitations, but for many scenarios it is ideal, having a full length barrel for maximum energy and velocity, while still providing maximum mobility. Another consideration is maneuverability in tight situations, like the hallway in your house, that full length bbl reduces blast and flash while still having a rifle instead of a handgun.

I think they said weight will come in around 8lbs. Especially with being smaller and rear biased, you won’t notice it at all.

@@Arachnoid_of_the_underverse it's more comfortable as a shooter to have all the weight close to your shoulder, and I guess it also helps with stability, as the heaviest side of the weapon is closer to the shooter.

All bullpups except for the tavor 7 are going to be easier for small framed people to hold than a standard rifle length AR.

Any chance we could get a length with the flash hider removed and stock extended?
If its 29 inches or more its the first Maryland legal bullpup in the base configuration.
Website says 29.75 with the flash hider so Im not holding my breath

For anyone interested in this, Maryland State Police banned rifle list specifically identifies the hellion as "not banned"

I'd be interested to see a comparison/competition video between this and the MDR since you and Karl both seemed to really like that one also.

This was a good range test, and I am sure with more practice this rifle would feel more comfortable with use. Great rifle but not for everyone.

I'd love just for comparison to see one of you two running that with the WWSD and maybe a PCC for full comparison of cartridge capabilities and size complications of your rifle/carbine. Also I know it would be unsafe therefore not going to happen in the competition world but I'd just like to remind people on how hard it is to actually shoot through a front windshield accurately hence my curiosity on how pistol calibers would fare even without the glass impediment.

5:00 Man that focus really make it seem like Ian is infront of a greenscreen that's rendering some generic game background.
