You are the only person that I’ve come across who mentioned the DISTANCE when stopping and starting a line: this is easily my favorite tattoo channel right now
Thank you for your explanations! It helps a lot! As a self-taught artist, sometimes the “feeling” of the machine is not enough, and some explanations helps to understand which details might have been missed. Thank you!
Hey jade i am self taught as well so i subscribed
Same here😬
Yo this is the most useful video I’ve ever seen on CZcams , so much info in so little time crazzyyy lol thanks 🙏
Awesome video, man! Great advices and very clear explained. Keep up your work!
Thank you, definitely realized a few things I haven’t been doing properly. Been tattooing for 8 years on and off in shops, so every time I’m “off” then I get back into a shop I almost need to relearn what I was taught during my apprenticeship.. I think being forced to make my own tattoo needles could have an affect on it aswell, having those custom made needles was really helpful. But after switching to a pen style machine I’m not sure how I could even make my own custom needles for cartridges! Your tips will help though, so thank you!
I already practice lining but this helped clear so much up! I really needed this!
My guy thank you for the up close content, clear communication! Super useful I just had to subscribe to the channel. Cheers!
Thank you for explaining all of of this! I'm just learning and all of this is so extremely helpful!!
I'm taking notes thank you so much for this advice.
Awesome breakdown...I’m loving all of your vids.
You make it look so easy!!! How long did it take you to get comfortable doing line work?? That is a beautiful design! Thx
This video is the most detailed that i ever found on CZcams
Thank you for your videos. I’ve been tattooing for 8 months now. I’ve improved so much cuz your videos.
Thank you for this great informative video. You have amazing clean lines, it's fascinating to see how fast and clean you work. Subscribed!!
This was so satisfying to watch! Thank you
Very well explained, thank you!🖤
❤❤ great work men am here to learn and i would say this one of the most videos i came across to that's helpful 🙏
As always, great video!
I stole the technique of holding the tattoo machine from you :D Now the lines look much better and I hold the machine much more confident in my hand! All thanks to you :)
Glad to help :)
Beautiful line work and super helpful video! Thanks for the thorough and concise tips and explanations.
Thank you !
Such beautiful and perfect line work ❤️😍
Lot of good info from you bro good stuff .never seen a video with so much information .thanks
Helping artist master their art thank you bro for what you do
Just awesome man I have learned so much from your videos I sit and rewatch all the time to the point where I have it memorized lol. Good job bro
That’s awesome! Glad to help!
Thank you :)
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial yeah bro I don’t duduu
Gotta say that these lines are some REAL lines 😮 👍
Amazing tips and information. I also want to add that although it may be obvious, it’s important to have your needles facing the same way the whole time especially when using a round liner. I noticed some people use the edge of the needles without realizing which makes line weight inconsistent. Thank you!
That’s helpful to me. Thank you 🤙🏻
Very clean! Thanks for the video!
Dude u by far have the best way of explaining things
Man I appreciate that. Thank you !
Bro this was like the most usefull tattoo video ive seen yet
Another great video. All the right information in a good timeframe with an excellent example - Well Done 👍 👍 🇦🇺
Glad you enjoyed it ! Thanks for the encouragement
I love this design like I’m obsessing over re creating this I like it so much lol
Was the video at normal speed? if so, the hand was soo fast mannn with such saturated linesss... just wow props
I sped it up just a little bit so I could fit the portion of the video I wanted to show you guys without it getting too much like a time lapse haha
Thanks for watching !
However that bishop liner is pretty dope!
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial pls make your video at normal speed i promise you see them completely
@@hitendervashist4585 LOL im sure he will do it just for you.
@@patricknuernberg4580 i dont know
Nailed it in this video. Thank you
Great video ! , The wand liner packs a punch, just wondering if you have sped up the video in some of the linework. Just because at 7.5 voltage some might not realize your true hand speed ,
It's so cool. Thanks for the video 👍
Having to come to CZcams to learn to tattoo since my mentor seems to not want to, but thanks for the video its a great help!
Oh geez that sucks! Glad it was helpful
And your work is amazing man
This channel is a lifesaver 😭🙏🏻
🤓
My mentor taught me pulling lines and pushing lines create different thickness. So you should try and be consistent by either pulling or pushing all lines, not mix matching.
Interesting... I’d like to know the logic behind that.
I’ve never seen a difference fresh or healed.
Any time I want to change thickness I just switch needle grouping.
The bishop and critical are insane Bub I’m just getting used to my 4.2 Valhalla
5k likes 0 dislikes! This guys got real good info, amazing line work wow
This video was really helpful thank you
Thanks for the great vid!
That was fire. Thank you
Hey how are ya I had a question I just started working at a shop and I have watched a ton of your videos,so thanks for your help and time. Did that 4.2 line nice and what volts did you use. I have a wand shader and I line with a coil but thinking about seeing if I could get a wand packer and get good one pass lines with it.
hi,am Marcos from Africa,Kenya and i love your work
Can you make a video about drills that will improve your line work , like what did you do to make your lines solid
Look for Ben Fisher 👌 you will improve fast
Watching you put down those lines was sooo satisfying 😱
😊
Smooth. Beautiful line work.🤩
Thank you :)
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial love watching you work and your tattoos are super clean
Hopefully this will help improve my line works in the future.
Helped alot thanks!!!
super clean!
Beautiful work and great explanation! I apologize if this has been asked before, but do you have a video on how to create and print a stencil such as this one, bold and perfectly straight outlines, thank you.
I recently uploaded a video about stencils within the last month or so !
today i practiced on fake skin for the first time, and my lines got really wobbly. i think its because of my depth changing while im lining. gonna work on it thanks!
Over time they will become more steady, the back weight of a machine is weird at first and takes a while to get use to
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial cool thanks for the awnser mate!
Thank you for advice
Thanks for the knowledge!
No problem !
Good info thank you!
Nice lining.....hope to be able to get there soon
You do really, really nice line work. Thanks for great tips, on how to get better!
Thank you ! Glad you liked the video !
Clean as F…………! Amazing work as usual
You should do a video about the numbing cream while getting tattoos if it actually works or not. Could be an interesting video.
Im trying to learn how to tattoo so thanks
I’m the youngest tattoo artist in ohio!, thanks for the advice bro I’ll definitely use it!!🤝
Those are some crispy lines good looorddd
So dang clean!!! The Valhalla can’t compete with The Wand for lining, huh?
Definitely not lol
I love this Tattoo design
I don't even tattoo, but I can't stop watching this
Thank you for sharing this
Absolutely!
Thanks 🌼
Hey, nice lesson! Can you show how do you hold your machine? Thanks!
Nice video, well explained. Liked it :)
Nice video and more beter work 👍
Wich size of needles you like more?
#10 (0.30mm)? or.
#12 (0.35mm)?
Thank you. 😎
Thank you for great video!🙂
You’re welcome!
I would love a water color tattoo done and explained by you!!
I don’t do water color really.
It’s basically smooth color blending if you already know how to do that
Thanks brother. That's what's up!!
Thanks !
Thank you. Question so can you use just about any machine for color packing, shading and lining? I know specific machines do better in areas but i got a mast pen i use for everything. Good idea?
Thanks bro
Hey Bro, honestly, I think you're the only one on YT who knows what he's talking about AND is able to explain it properly. I'll try everything 😊 thank you very much
I appreciate the compliment! Glad it’s helpful :)
Thanks for another great video. I wanted to ask. Do you use bactine at all? And if so, when? Thanks again, I appreciate you
Glad you liked the video !
And no I never use any time of numbing products on my clients
What was the machine you use for a longer stroke. Beautiful lines 💓
That’s the way a tattoo should go best outcome very clean
Thank you !
I'm struggling so much finding the right rest for my hand (holding the machine). I constantly find my hand tensing up and then making the line shaky. Any tips?
Great sharing sir godbless! I'm your new supporter friends sending you my full support!🙌🏻
wow those lines are so damn clean
Suuuuuper clean
Thank you !
Clean AF
Thank you !
I got a somewhat, good question i think. Sometimes when i tattoo, and i dip the needle in ink, and tattoo sometimes i just can't get the ink to go down to the skin regardless of angle, like i have REALLY bad ink flow sometimes, and seems random, i like to have longer needle hang but only fix i can do is to make it real short the hang, it annoys me alot! i use bishop wand packer/shader+cheyennes, same thing, and same thing with all kind of cart's brands. It's super super wiard, have you tried anything similar? i have tried dipping JUST the tip of needle, running, not running, and having the tube all the way down, nothing works "sometimes", sometimes it does.
Neat works 🤟🏻
Hey man like your videos, you should make on on blud lines, there is non out there
Can you please do a video on making stencils. What stencil machine works well and then placing them on different parts of body with tips. I suck at placing stencils and my stencil machine blows. I recently bought the printer that uses stencil ink.
Im very confident in my stencil abilities. If you'd like me to show you how I do it, I'd be happy to. micahjamesmyers@gmail.com
Hello
Love the work
What do you recommend using
When recording a video like yours
iPhone/ stand /lighting/ editing app?
Thanks
I use a 2mm machine hang needle and drag the needle only needle taper length
What gloves do you use bro? Those ones look pretty thick compared to the usual branded ones like shadow
Great video.. Cheers. 🏴🇬🇧
Good video. Also just curious what voltage did you personally run your valhalla for lining?
Around 10volts
Very nice tattoo! What kind of tattoo machine are you using and what kind of tattoo needle are you using?
your lines are amazingggg! I definitely need some help with mine. going to try these tips out.
Thank you ! Hope they are helpful !
Hey man, how are you finding that liner vs the Valhalla pen?
This is crazy how you meantion the airplane thing. I explained it the same way to my apprentice.
Nice!🛬. 🛫
Cool line
Thanks !
I really appreciate this video good sir! I do have one question for you: Do you find you gain some stability on line work like this with a thicker grip wrap? Does it help with wrist fatigue at all? Thank you so much for all your helpful and informative vids!!
For me yes. I’ve seen people do incredible lines with skinny grips too. I think it’s a matter of preference honestly.
You are welcome :)
