Im glad you mentioned the chest rig part as I had the same idea with my ready pack.
Have you considered doing a helmet video from the medic perspective? Ballistic vs bump, accessories, etc. Would be really helpful!
This^
Agreed!
As a medic that uses both, it depends on mission set and team dynamics as to what’s on either. NVG, Counter weight, Lights, kill card. Basic set up that adds or subtracts depending on what’s going on.
@@DocCypherabsolutely, it would be nice to have a full length breakdown
Those vids are out there
Looking forward to picking up Vertx because of all the good I hear from videos like this - thanks!
Cool stuff! Looking forward to the waistpack review as well! I'm also very curious about what you ended up using the Overlander for! Thanks for all the helpful info as always!
Adding Velcro to the Alien Gear 1.0 OWB backing works well. You can change the shell to fit whatever pistol you want.
Just ordered a black 28l. Camt wait to travel with it. Thanks for the great review.
Nice pack. I have the 5.11 covrt18 and I’m pretty happy with it. Had to change some zipper pulls to my liking but other than that it’s well made for the “extras” I don’t have room on me for.
Bought my Vertx Bag due to some of your videos, have it packed with multiple resources but my favorite being my Level 3A+ Soft Plate from Safe Life and my Get home alive med kit from Live The Creed. Thank you for all of the knowledge you share & inspiring people like myself in the civilian sector to get some real training.
Great to hear!
Thank You teach me how to save lives.
Hi @prepmedic, sorry if i missed this. Is the tactigami/velcro backing removal? Just a mesh/non velcro like backing? I thought you removed the velcro backing at 8:47 but I wasnt sure since it cuts. thanks!
If I'm not using the hip belts on my bags I often clip them and pull them taught before I put the bag on. Then they're still there if I want them, but they don't hang down and get in the way. I have yet to have any comfort issues with this method.
Is it waterproof for the florida rains?
Hey Sam, on your next reviews and and such, if pissible can you do a review on the CDO tourinquet braclet. Its an interesting/smart concept for an edc role or for any emrigency medical first responder thats off duty. I want to know if its as advertised or a gimick that we all should stay away from. Theres ex militsry guys special operation guys, wear it and have said its great, since you are the higher medical professional and have way more experince than i do, wpuld like to hear your thoughts opnions and pros and cons on it. Im just a EMT student graduate who recently got the EMT card and looking for work currently
Nice video ❤
I just came to say that, as I was scrolling through my feed, I saw your "EDC Long Walks" and for some reason my brain said "EDC Walrus." So yeah, now I'm trying to picture what an EDC Walrus might look like.
Realizan ventas por tiendamia?
how do you secure a hydration bladder from flapping around with only a top hanger
I’m shocked they didn’t do a high vis interior. That seems like a miss
The price is very attractive to me. I like vertx I don’t necessarily like to spend vertx prices.
Hey Sam! I heard you mention doing long runs in a previous video. I was curious if you have a recommendation for a chest rig for running? Would be great to carry garmin, concealed carry, food and phone. Let me know what you think!
I don’t really have a suggestion as far as chest rigs go. I run with the Solomon ADV running vest.
Helicon tex numbat is a great rig for that purpose, I love mine
How sturdy is the bottom of the bag? Could I throw in a container of say ~250 9mm for a range trip or would it be straining the fabric?
You should be just fine but I cant tell you 100% because I haven't tested the durability super well yet.
How long is it in the inside?
Yeah mate, you need to seriously upgrade your lighting. Too hard to see the details of your black back packs etc!
What’s the scoop on the pry bar/rescue tool at 11:56? I need one of those.
Its made by Winkler Knives. Super handy
Hey Sam, know any good *non-medical* uses for a RATS TQ? I have one that will just gather dust otherwise lol
You can whip your friends with it like a silly goose
Have tou considerd the lighting for your vids? They are too dark and don't have enough contrast to see details.
Yeah man
Hello from VA. Thank you again for all the generosity.
I am in short supply of firewood. I need to stick up for the fireplace.
I don’t know I think i would rather go with the Blackhawk ultralite or the Blackhawk day pack way less money and way more durable.
Hey Sam, just an fyi, lighting’s a bit dark😊
Hey Sam I know you're predominantly focused on gear reviews and BLS interventions for the lay person. But could you do a video on more paramedic focus stuff such as med math. Drawing up push does epi that kind of stuff. I think you have a great way of presenting information and I would like to see more ALS specific stuff for medic students.
Who makes that pry bar? Nice size. Thx.
Winkler Knives
How do these packs compare to GoRuck for rucking?
Not even close to the same kind of pack.
Why would you need a tent or tarp walking around the neighborhood? 😅
And here come the experts...
I might have missed you saying this but can you fit a rifle in the backpack?
10.5 with law tactical folder and a2 fits but snug.
"Hold Mr Bad Man, I need to draw my gun from my eee dee cee pack"
I call these packs “backup/add on stuff” packs. Stuff I don’t want on me but in a possible heightened event I want near me or in the vehicle/hotel/office. If it can be “on” me by all means belt/ankle/pockets is where it’s at. I keep an extra belt in my pack as well just so I can mount everything if I don’t have one.
GORUCK made a better range backpack. Get the GORUCK Shooter.
This isn't a range pack
Missed the mark. If I’m going on a “long walk”, I want a waist belt, period.
Well they have that as well in the long walks collection
Jesus loves you
Perhaps you could talk about stethoscopes.
You have got lots of subscribers, maybe you can get a few stethoscopes for free.
Vertx is china made you know what...
Ummmm no. American based company, manufacturer most of their bags in Vietnam. Now, the phone or computer you typed this comment on was infact made in china
"customizable" aka featureless and the bare minimum effort a company can put in. They decided to cheap out further with the excuse of being "lightweight". These are no better than a Jansport at several times the price. These exist solely to sell accessories to tac simps
Gosh dang it! Next you will tell me plate carriers don’t come with all their pockets pre made. Those scam artists are just trying to sell larpers molle pouches!! It’s a conspiracy!
Am i able to fit a CAA microconversion kit with foldable stock in the 15L. Or an sbr
It depends on barrel length. My 11.5 SBR with law tactical folding stock does not fit.
@@PrepMedic Thank you!
Swing and a miss by Vertx!
