  • It should be no surprise that just like so much of my kit and setups, I am constantly changing my everyday carry (EDC). This video is a walkthrough of everything I carry with me off duty both for my own convenience and to protect my family.

If you like the 12-round mag on the P365 I can't recommend enough the Wilson combat P365 xl grip mod. it works with the 12-round cap mags and I have been using one for almost 2 years and love it. I always felt play with the lower portion of the mag and it bothered me. The gip texture is perfect on them also.

The only thing I’d say is missing is a blade. I don’t carry it for defensive purposes, but if you do need to improvise some medical supplies or expose a patient, it’s worth carrying. It can also be used to rescue someone (especially if you have a glass breaker) or just for convenience (opening annoying packaging etc). I sometimes carry a Benchmade Triage, but now I often just take a Gerber EAB because it takes up no space, and I never have to worry about sharpening. Even a small keychain knife or strap cutter is adequate.

Pro tip: Magguts makes a +2 round extension for the p365 magazine that does not increase the profile of the magazine substantially. This would increase your capacity to 14+1. I can confirm that this will not impact the magazine performance either. It does this by replacing the internals of the magazine, and on the 12 round magazine it adds between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch to the bottom of the magazine.

I have been contemplating on trying the xmacro frame on my xl slide and fcu. I believe the 17rd macro mags come with baseplates that make them work with the 365 and 365xl as well.

It’s my third striker fired handgun and has a great trigger my other two were polymer striker fired but really sucked so I sold them shortly after buying them due to being cheaply made. But the X Macro Tacops checks all my boxes so after several months training with the 365 it’s now my go to for daily carry.

Never have to worry about wearing out the welded seams. I carry it in my front pocket. I think you will love it! Side note, I also keep a R.A.T. tourniquet on me at all times too.

    • @Nostradankus
      @Nostradankus Před 10 dny

I'd reconsider that RAT if I was you. It's not T3C approved, it's a pain to apply tight enough to stop major bleeding (especially if it gets all slick with blood) and tends to come loose easily. They also have extremely high occlusion pressure and are even more painful to wear compared to a proper TQ.
If you want to stick with the gold standard then a SOF-T Wide can be folded down pretty compact (check out Mountain Man Medical for a good video on how to stage them). You only lose a bit of "self-appliability" compared to a CAT.
Or you can go with a SWAT-T, they're more compact than a full windlass TQ and just a little more bulky than a RAT. They're also not T3C approved. Application is still a pain and self-application is really only possible on your legs but you can combine them with gauze or a shirt to make a pressure bandage as a bonus.

Glucose or sugar for insulin/diabetic crisis, some uncoated aspirins for coronary syndrome and some Benadryl or epipen for anaphylaxis. And of course Narcan. You could fit all this stuff in a sleeve smaller than your packing gauze.

I really like my Kore Essentials ratcheting -type belt (does have a buckle) because it's even easier to make those fine adjustments. I empathize with wanting to stay minimal as much as possible and I am picky about what I carry too, but I do carry a light (I like the Streamlight Microstream USB) because a phone or watch light just doesn't have the same throw and usefulness. And I always have a knife and small multi-tool (Gerber Dime or Leatherman PS4). I use these often enough to keep having them on me. Especially a knife. I like replaceable razor blade-type knives (I have an Outdoor Edge Razor-lite and a Coast DX126 folding utility knife) because I don't like sharpening a lot, I cut a fair bit of cardboard, and I almost never need a more robust blade for me personally. Have a Gerber EAB and it's good but I don't like needing a screwdriver to swap blades and having the potential to lose a tiny screw, and the Coast has a push button that makes it super quick and easy. Have a Flipside 4 wallet. My Samsung Galaxy watch quit charging and I never used the extras on it and am looking for another watch. Pistol is a Glock 27 with a TLR-6. Old school at this point but I have my reasons.

Greaty content, have you considered carrying at least a multitool? Seems like I use a blade on a daily basis. A Leatherman Free P4 multitool has been amazing for me for the last couple of years.

The Juggernaut case + mount is about $280. The Unicorn Beetle case is about $25. The only thing it does t have that the juggernaut does is the ability to fold down.

I purchased the Garmin based on this and your in depth review. I tried to find the running watchband you recommend...but wasn't able to locate it. Could you provide a link?

My EDC as an off duty law enforcement officer. Just a normal pair of blue jeans usually, a tru spec all Velcro belt (had the same one for 4 years now works great off duty as well as on duty as a under belt), a tactical pen in my back left pocket for if I need to write something down or use it to break a window ect, POM OC spray in my left front pocket(have used it a few times on dogs and it worked fantastically), cell phone I place in my left front pocket as well(iPhone 14 pro max), code 118 wallet in my front right pocket(is is rfid protected), a pocket knife clipped inside my front right pocket(usually some type of otf or assisted blade). For my firearm I carry a Springfield hellcat concealed appendix carry on my right side( I’ve had to draw and use it once to shoot a dog that was attacking me), a old g shock watch on my left wrist, and lastly a spare magazine in my back right pocket, although I sometimes leave it out of my edc.

@@Mawyman2316lol people in my city don’t understand keep your dogs in your yard on a leash or put up. So when dogs are roaming freely running up to me they are getting sprayed or shot either one. Only reason I shot one was because it caught me off guard and I dropped my spray, that dog had been attacking people in the neighborhood though and I had about shot it once before, because when I was walking to my car from my old apartment complex it was attack another gentleman.

@@carson4388 Not sure how I feel about your phrasing. "So, when dogs are roaming freely running up to me, they are getting sprayed or shot either one" that's absolutely horrific if they aren't also being aggressive (which I hope you assumed was implied). I have had dogs walk or run up to me and despite it being a bit of a shock, it's only ever been negative twice and I simply left their territorial zone (had to walk past their house) and they left me alone.
That being said the last one sounds justified at least.
