    This is an introduction to PanPastel Sofft Tools and Sponges.
    I demonstrate basic strokes and talk about the various Sofft tools available and their application.

    Great intro to Panpastel and Sofft tools for anyone that has not yet tried them.

      Thanks Heidi, I've been getting comments from artists that didn't know Sofft Tools ever existed (especially the knives). Yeah this video was just only to let artists know what's available and what they look like.

      Hey there Onna, you have to give them a go and just play with them , you never know what you'll come up with. But please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

    I can't reuse the knives sponges, can you tell me anything about how can I clean them?

    • @Xrissart
      @Xrissart  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi ID, thank you for your question, you can clean these with warm soapy water and rinse very well. Lay them on a flat surface to dry completely. Thank you for watching and keep on keeping on.

    Really love your videos. You are so good! Im mostly abstract art. I was to try pastel mat. Can't seem to get it. Checked everywhere in USA. I wish I could get a sample pack. So what is your 2nd choice in pan pastel paper? TIA.. I think you are awesome! Xo Onna

      onna addis Uart 400 or 800 (800 for detail). Also try dickblick, for a nice pretty golden penny you can get Patelmat. Uart is cheaper :)

      Amazon also has Pastelmat paper. I haven’t seen any sample packs. Maybe if you email the Clairefontaine company that makes Pastelmat they will send you some samples. If not, just buy one small pad. Each pad usually has 4 different paper colours. They are listed on the front of the pad.

      @onna addis thank you for watching, your comment and question. @Braill Eulogy and @Heidi D are correct with their suggestions. In addition Jacksons UK are also a great place to source Pastelmat. Working on a video that will demonstrate different papers with the Sofft Tools. So be on the lookout for that.

      Hey Heidi, agree as well as getting a small pad is a great way to see if Pastelmat is the right surface for artists.

      Hi Braile, I prefer the 800 in the UART and agree UART is cheaper.
