  • Replacing the heater core is challenging, but not impossible. The FREON needs to be professionally pulled from the system with an A/C machine so it doesn't pollute the environment. Everything else you can do yourself and the parts are relatively cheap. And if you are replacing the heater core, you'll want to replace the A/C Evaporator as well since it is a lot of work to get to the heater core and the A/C Evaporator part is fairly cheap. I show you how to take apart the dash, as well as the necessary components in the engine bay. I also have a PART 2 video that has a few of the details on how to put everything back together. I hope this helps, hit that like, and please subscribe! Have a good one!

Working on a 02 tonight, you do not need to remove nearly as many electrical connectors as you did. Alldata is your friend. Much easier than he makes this out to be

I have a 2003 Ram 4.7l automatic, I'm thinking about putting the transmission in low and lay the steering wheel into the seat, then pull the the dash at a angle into the seat resting a little on the steering column, at least I hope that works

Hey oh yes looks like a 2 -3 day job for me outside. This will drive me crazy. You did excellent breakdown of the job. I know it’s not your truck but did you tell guy about blend doors upgrade ? And foam insulation replacement ? It looked all good. I think you did better job than probably most techs.
