Yea, I'm having a problem with this one. I'm not seeing the threat to police, the officer on foot easily moved out of the way. Officer in the vehicle could have stayed inside the vehicle.
I think he got startled bc while backing up and bumped into something so he thought he could be pinned in. The car was def not trying to do that to him, didn't even want to scrape the cop car door, which would have ended their chasing him for sure if he went for it. It was a little sketch for sure.
Finally a real discussion. Many of the people I work with like to do that too. We are supposed to be looking where our weapons are pointed per our training so there is little to no need for a 2nd light source taking up our weak side hand unless the weapon mounted light is just not up to he job. Take a closer look and you will find much of society is itself just based upon a collection of fantastical misunderstandings (beliefs) they hold dear as if it were truth.

@redbloodedamerican3204 I get what you're saying. And he did ignore their clear instructions to stop. But was he that big of a threat in that moment? It's difficult to say what he would've done next, and that's where the officers' minds have to be when they decide what they're going to do. Not a place I'd want to find myself in, for sure. There’s no doubt that the deputy feared the driver could have easily ran him over which he very well could have. But what’s interesting about shooting into cars while you’re standing in front of them, is that too many officers think what, the driver will get shot and be like my bad let me just put it in park? Often times standing in front of a car and shooting into it leads to a more dangerous situation than just getting out of the way initially.

The man was not driving or radically, only disobeying commands. Was he a dirtbag? Probably. Certainly seems that way. But hold on... Just a second and think about it. Oh Los Angeles, never change.
It really does seem like that deputy already made his mind up if that suspect tried to leave he would blast him, as soon as the guy drives barely 3 miles an hour the cop goes crazy, even steps to the side of the car before firing,
Not even 3 miles per hour. The average walking speed is 3mph. More like 1mph.
Yea, I'm having a problem with this one. I'm not seeing the threat to police, the officer on foot easily moved out of the way. Officer in the vehicle could have stayed inside the vehicle.
And.... ?
I think he got startled bc while backing up and bumped into something so he thought he could be pinned in. The car was def not trying to do that to him, didn't even want to scrape the cop car door, which would have ended their chasing him for sure if he went for it. It was a little sketch for sure.
I even seen a snail 🐌 passing his van

I don't understand using a flashlight in your free hand while already using the WML.
Finally a real discussion. Many of the people I work with like to do that too. We are supposed to be looking where our weapons are pointed per our training so there is little to no need for a 2nd light source taking up our weak side hand unless the weapon mounted light is just not up to he job.
Add to that the movement backwards toward running the handheld radio without a lapel microphone in so many of these larger agencies (I've heard it's because these departments won't pay for them. Buy your own then it's a safety issue as far as I am concerned. They are under $100) and you have way too many shootings occurring with a one hand grip. Not this instance but way too common on these videos in general.
@@saisr1 Not sure if you follow ASP but John always brings it up as well. It really does restrict you, it's important to have that free hand.....free

He probably already had the flashlight in his hand. Lots of times when people draw a weapon(no matter how much training you go through), they won't drop whatever they are holding in their non dominate hand. There is a term for it, but I forgot what it's called.

when will the governments realize that THIS is what gets criminals and threats to the public to not be criminals or threats to the public, and not a $200 fine + released
They probably won't until something happens to somebody they care about or to themselves. The current presidential regime does not care about any American citizen. They're too busy worrying about other countries problems that aren't any of our problem. We have our own problems The Biden administration doesn't seem to care about. All they care about is giving money to Ukraine, Israel and themselves while the rest of us are working non-stop to barely put food on the table or suffering in the streets while we all watch illegals come in and get money, hotel rooms. Legal precedent has established a vehicle is a deadly weapon. That vehicle was pointed at the deputy. Even at slow speed it is likely to cause serious bodily injury. Therefore deadly force is authorized.

At a loss here, dude was making the slowest getaway ever but he made his choice to not comply, he chose to be abusive to begin with, I just don’t understand society anymore
You mean the same society that teaches by example that violence is the way, and then punishes those who get really good at being abusive with yet more violent abuse for their having committed violent abuse? That global society?
Society has always been questionable. The question is, what took you so long to notice? Take a closer look and you will find much of society is itself just based upon a collection of fantastical misunderstandings (beliefs) they hold dear as if it were truth.

Yeah, I'm not sure about this one. Seems like they could've gotten back into their vehicle and pursued him. He didn't seem like he was being aggressive at all, so I don't think there was any reason to shoot him.
Video is cut up. Would you have rather had them in a car chase through your neighborhood or end it the way they did?

LAPD are the most trigger happy and least trained so this isnt surprising. Look at that crossfire lol
I suppose it might have been the safest option, when considering his past history. Preserving the life of others. But I wouldn't be shocked to hear that a DA files charges.

Good to know the Deputy is doing okay 💙🙏
Domestic Violence, why do the one that cannot take no or it is over commits the worst…SBC
He wasn't really in fear, he was looking for an excuse.
I think there is plenty of doubt. The driver was moving very slowly and tentatively. As much as this guy was a terrible human being, use of lethal force looks extremely questionable.
@@user-mp9rd4hg8bwell to be fair, it's our job to stop them. We are supposed to block him, and then he gets the choice of attempting to run us over or stopping. @@drxymnot really. A 5,000 lb vehicle will squish you at 2 mph the same as 70 mph. It's the officers job to stop him. They don't have to get out of the way. They then force the bad guy to have to stop or roll the dice trying to run them over. He chose poorly.
he was on the side of that vehicle, that wasn't a deadly threat, these cops are all incompetent so they have to resort to shooting anyone that resists nowadays. The real warriors/men won't work for a tyrannical system, so we have a bunch of weak followers ttrying to uphold the law

Escape was.. Unsuccessful...
CROSSFIRE GALORE for officer 3 holy crap
Wow, I guess im that guy... If he hit her? He deserves punishment. That's wrong. What I saw here though? That was an extra judicial execution. The man was moving very slowly and not posing an eminent danger to the officer. The officer placed himself in front of that car in order to block his escape. The officer placed himself there. The man was not driving or radically, only disobeying commands. Was he a dirtbag? Probably. Certainly seems that way. But hold on... Just a second and think about it. That's pretty slim reasoning to mag dump somebody. I get he's a bad guy but if you don't want to be treated like that, yourself, you should stand up against something that's wrong. I just watched something that was wrong.
A van/car is a deadly weapon fool. The cop was backing up out of the way in the video fool. Police aren't supposed to run backwards away from everything. You are pretending like the cop knew he wasn't going to drive into him. You don't know the meaning of the word accountability.
Obviously both officers should be fired and brought up on murder charges for excessive force. Very disgusting.

@@OtisFlint My guy, the car was going a max of 5mph. On foot that gives the officer plenty enough time to step aside and move. You can even see how much time he had in the video, but the cop wanted to be in an OIS. I support law enforcement, but cops like these are why they're viewed as having a "License to Kill" because rather than get into your patrol car and prepare for a pursuit he chose to stand in the car's way to give justification for the shooting. Besides, the guy had a long felony record, he was gonna get at least 15-20. Life over.
women are manipulative. knowing with a person considered dangerous but then says abusive. it's a justified shoot with law enforcement in danger that's one thing. cops can't be killing people over infractions, nonviolent misdemeanors or when arresting, no lives in immediate danger
