I feel like Aaron and Vanessa don't have a rough enough voice. Roger is supposed to be very rocky and edgy sounding. Mimi should sound kind of seductive.
that guy that played mark on the last broadway screening live up to it! adam pascal is roger forever for sure. Aaron is a great singer not suited for roger tho
Totally agree, just love Vanessa and I don't care what other's think! She tried something new, and that takes a shit load of courage especially when you have to do it LIVE! Props for Vanessa, yet again she surprised me. Kinda like when Zac surprised me at her last show, standing up and giving her money and a rose. So adorable (: Vanessa Rocked and she's brave, give the girl the props she deserves.
Vanessa's voice is very "Disney Channel/CD Pop" sounding. She wasn't trained to sing like someone who would play Mimi. I love this show and I love Mimi. It's not Vanessa's fault per say that her voice doesn't fit the role. It's a demanding part. I just wish that they would have gotten someone with a little more training in the Broadway sound.
They only cast Vanessa because she had the look, like Mimi is one of my favorite characters and this is my favorite song in the musical. But she just totally ruined the whole thing.

He's too "pretty," (yeah, I know, the pretty-boy front man, but there's a line) he struts around striking a pose every three seconds, and he doesn't have that roughness or growl in his voice OR personality that makes Roger... Roger.

I love how benny and mark say " come on guys chill!" in unison! They are the two refs in the fights and it kind of show benny being a good guy again!
I just love watching Skylar and Aaron together, they feed off each other perfectly. And once again it got better with every performance!
