the only one who was egregious was Vanessa. Skylar and Aaron are both Broadway veterans who could sing the phone book and still manage to portray complex emotions. Both Nicole and Wayne pleasantly surprised me, and I am happy to say I actually enjoyed their unique portrayals of iconic characters.

People who hated any of the casting choices were obviously bias. Yes, you like it seen with a certain type of person playing each of the roles. But doing that every time would've been so repetitive. I liked that they shook things up a little. A Mimi that actually did "look like she's 16" and a Maureen who is feisty and super sexy and different. A Mark who doesn't have a super deep voice. I loved all the casting choices and while I think they should've done something different to make the musical arrangements fit the voices better (that was the only thing that threw it off a bit) I think it was still a well-acted performance.

It's like Mimi is supposed to be a 19 year old or something! Seriously...I don't get the critiques. She's not the most mindblowing Mimi I've ever seen, but she's definitely not bad. She plays Mimi as a 19 year old kid. I think a lot of people are just used to Mimi being played by an older, sexy and mature actress, even though Mimi being a young girl is entirely fine and actually more in line with the dialogue in the play.
I'm glad Tracie Thoms got to play her own character in this show. She would've done a great solo in Seasons of Love, but the originals are great too! Love the cast, could've been a better Mimi though. Wasn't impressed with Out Tonight

Bad casting choices. I'm a huge Aaron Tveit fan but he was not a good Roger (vocal wise) his voice is too theater. Roger is is supposed to raw and this is just so smooth not telling the story right. Nicole is a great OPERA singer she is no Maureen. I love Traci .. Perfect Joanne of course. Vanessa has a great voice but she is no Mimi. She trys to hard to be sexy. She is too forced. I love Neil Patrick Harris. I love him. I LOVE HIM.
