Great video! I've watched it a few times to understand as much as I could.
Any thoughts on Pukei Pukei bow set up? My bblos is only 6.2 but it's good enough to get me 6 star kills. I read from other users that Pukei is really good to power up while waiting for the next black diablos event.
This is from the perspective of a hunter that's on 6 star monsters in the main story (aka haven't done 7 stars yet). And I recently switched to bows so I don't have many of the elemental bows created / upgraded yet.
thank you ☺️ and absolutely- the pukei bow is the next best ‘all purpose bow’ after black diablos. i would suppose you should run the focus 5 burst 3 setup, cant go wrong with that.
for new builds running a combination of focus, burst & poison attack, i have to wait to test as ive not yet gotten the helm- but its unlikely to beat the above build.

Hi quick question. With the black D bow. Where do you aim on Tobi to break its back? I finally got my black D bow to 10.5. I was able to break Tobi s back quite consistently after breaking its tail. Now I can’t seem to do it often. Do you pierce through Tobi s front or back legs to break the back? Thanks a lot

In the video, G4 Pukei Chest. Does that mean we should stop upgrading once we hit Grade 4 till there is better armor in the future?
if you don’t mind playing glass cannon then yeah! some players choose to upgrade their gear up to just 6.1, or up to 7.5 (as after that wgs is needed). might want to take a look at this article that dives into defense requirements. www.reddit.com/r/MHNowGame/comments/17xlncp/monster_hunter_nows_defense_formula_or_how_to/
Nowhere near grade 10 for any of these weapons, highest grade is black diablos at G6 5/5
With that said, will continue to focus on making the best out of B.Diablos until something else surpasses.
But what about the new crit boost sets, would you recommend the use of the A.Rathlos arms or waist?

hmm it does look like crit boost is not as beneficial as burst for bows… i think high affinity is needed for crit boost to actually shine. just 2 crit eye or 2 wex slotted in with crit boost wont be that great. if i find anything out i’ll be sure to touch on it :)

Oh here's another point of inquiry, for kadachi bow, would having 5 thunder 1 burst, and 3 focus be more optimal since kadachi is pierce weapon?

generally burst isn’t as good on elementals because it only multiplies the raw portion of the attack, and not the elemental portion. i dont think it would be more optimal 😔
Sad to hear, but I sort of figured that would be the case. But that just saves the attempts of mats since I'm still struggling to hunt 6 star zinogre
Before getting Diablo Bow, which bow can focus on to train and hunt?
aside from black diablos bow, you can go for poison pukei bow. its the 2nd best all purpose weapon after the black diablos bow. focus 5 burst 3! max grade poison pukei bow can clear full roster of 9*.

@@MightyyMy yes for bows, bblos bow > elemental bows late game.
i put the asterisk to indicate that the build is best suited to that specific weapon. but its not a biggie.
@@monsterhunternowsg that's crazy strong bow then. Because usually element weapon in general is better late game right? Like if we were talking about long sword. Element would be best
@@MightyyMy that’s correct 😂 its unique to the bow class. if i dont have it wrong, no other weapon classes have a raw that beats elementals.
