the system is good, but the cars themselves are too heavy, have engines mounted too far forward, and dont have good enough weight distribution for the awd to really excel.
theres a reason why fast audis still understeer like a bitch even with quattro.
except for the r8 and the rs3 u are pretty much right, although i love my a5 quattro and how it handles i can see it straightening a turn if you are not careful

They must see Honda's SH-AWD system. System can transfer the engine power to the four wheels seperately. Quattro can just to front or rear.
***** Quattro can not control each wheels. System just control the power between front and rear. And then differentials send it to right and left. SH AWD control unit can send the power to the four wheels seperately. There is a clutch system in the SH AWD. Quattro has not it. It has classical two (front and rear) differantial.

a4,a5,a6,a7,a8,q5,q7 using centre diff locking
s1,tt,q3,a1,a3 using multiplate clutch
r8 using viscous coupling
