The GPMG is from the campaign, the one featured in MP just isn’t mounted on the ground. Seems to be a “Beta” version of dismounting turrets as seen in Halo 3 onwards.
The sniper in Halo actually has very good recoil absorption thanks alot to the bolt and spring being so long and the massive muzzle break... but yeah lol nerd shit aside they're elite for reasons.

I honestly could not be happier about the GPMG, I was just thinking a few days ago about how cool the Halo 2 turret looks when knocked off the stand, and then all of the sudden 343 adds it.

You can mod the shadow to be able to drive them. I do that, good old times and i also swap character model too and being a hunter you wouldnt able to shoot or smack on enemy idk why

General Purpose Machine Guns are used for long range suppressing fire at the platoon level and served by a crew of usually 3, as opposed to Light Machine Guns or Automatic Rifles that are used at the fireteam level and have more limited range. SPV3 has something that looks just like this, so I feel like we must have seen it before now
The silenced SMG I found it in a map I forgot the name of it, I found with the sight just like in halo 3 odst, I found it while I was playing halo 2 anniversary multiplayer
The Scarab gun has always been in Halo 2 since the original Release. It was a secret weapon you earned by Luring an enemy Banshee through the tunnel section of Metropolis and then flying it to a certain point on the map.
Fun thing I learned a while back was Halo 3 didn't allow you to spawn with sentinel beam as starting weapon because of a bug that would make the game crash as well as a few others and modders experienced it when they tried back in the day but 343, in Halo 3 MCC, fixed this so you can. This is why the popular custom game "Golden Showers" in Halo 2 never made a return in Halo 3.
2:32 it uses the sniper rifle animations and reload sounds, cool. Wish it was brought back in some way, maybe as an automatic power weapon or how the machine gun in SPV3 was implemented.
The GPMG is using the same model of the humans machine gun turrets in the campaign. You can use them in Mombasa Outskirts, for example, but you can't bring them with you as a normal weapon.
got run over by that shadow during the campaign and got the achievement "killed by the guardians", was so confused as to why there was an achievement to get killed by that specific enemy, till i learned what that achievement actually meant XD

Choosers can’t be beggars I know, but why didn’t they take the extra amount of time to make the pelican and phantom flyable? They already took so long, what’s a little extra time. The reason I say this, is because it’s literally in the game, flyable, pelican is shootable and works as a dropship, just add those assets to the phantom and they could literally turn the tide of battles, and bring more people back to halo. For as long as I could remember, when Halo 1 came out, I always wanted to fly a pelican. It’s in the game ffs.
I am reminded of the oft forgotten flamethrower that was exclusively in Halo:CE for PC. Thing was broken as hell. It spawned on like 2 maps, but it basically ate through your shield instantly.

The Fuelrod gun can be found in the story mode aswell. When you go to kill the prophet of regret you can find it in the room with the first elevator that goes underwater.
And on gravemind (carried by heavy grunts and an elite ultra) Uprising (in the room before the ghost section) The arbiter (in the room where the phantom drops more reinforcements and when you are on a banshee carried by heretic grunts)
@Genralkidd the reason why you can't lock on the falcon is because the halo 2 beta rocket launcher locking on was different you wait for the reticle to turn red then you shot and rocket will try kill them.
you could find the scarab gun in single player, you had to bait a banshee through a tunnel before flying to a normally out of bounds area get it... it was such a pain haha

if im correct you can put the fuel rod gun in multiplayer on classic halo. Just set weapons on map to all covenant then approach any rocket launcher spawn and it is replaced by the fuel rod gun. So technically its always been in custom games if i remember that right

The GPMG is the Halo 2 turret without the stand and armor plating. I suspect Bungie wanted detachable turrets in the game, and never got that far.

GPMG is pretty much the closest thing to having the Assault Rifle in Classic Halo 2.
A battle rifle is closer to an assault rifle than an lmg. In the real world battle rifles and assault rifles are pretty much the same.

They should just add the Silenced SMG to Halo 2 Classic already. It's mostly complete, so only a few minor tweaks are needed.

I'm fairly certain that the scarab gun has always been in the game, even in the original Xbox version. My friend was really into doing glitches and skulls back in the day and I remember him telling me about it.
The GPMG is from the mission Outskirts correct me if I'm wrong I will double check. Detached it looks fun to use though.

That handheld M247 machine gun is pretty cool.
The cross hairs on the gsmg are the smg cross hairs on the halo 2 trailer I saw a long time ago. It was a early release, even the mission they used wasn’t even a real one wish it was though looked very interesting!
Host Silenced SMG seems like it just has a much lower fire rate but the sounds and damage don't change, looking at the damage ticks on the shield.
The scarab gun was actually a usable skull(power up) in the halo 2 campaign for halo mcc on console
The “falcon” is actually a cut vehicle called the Kestrel
The Fuelrod gun can be found in the story mode aswell. When you go to kill the prophet of regret you can find it in the room with the first elevator that goes underwater.
And on gravemind (carried by heavy grunts and an elite ultra)
Uprising (in the room before the ghost section)
The arbiter (in the room where the phantom drops more reinforcements and when you are on a banshee carried by heretic grunts)
@Genralkidd the reason why you can't lock on the falcon is because the halo 2 beta rocket launcher locking on was different you wait for the reticle to turn red then you shot and rocket will try kill them.
Cant wait for season 3 now, this stuff seems like 343 has been toying with Halo 2 alot

you could find the scarab gun in single player, you had to bait a banshee through a tunnel before flying to a normally out of bounds area get it... it was such a pain haha

That scarab gun was obtainable during a campaign mission on legendary. It wasn't exactly easy to get, if I remember correctly.
Yup you had to get lucky and make a banshee follow you up to the tunnel to the next area and then have to get even lucky er and not get slingshoted
Scarab gun has existed since Halo 2 OG Launch, for Halo 2 Vista they added an achievement for finding it in the campaign level it was hidden in

if im correct you can put the fuel rod gun in multiplayer on classic halo. Just set weapons on map to all covenant then approach any rocket launcher spawn and it is replaced by the fuel rod gun. So technically its always been in custom games if i remember that right
I thought it replaced them with brute shots but I could be wrong, I feel like I remember using the fuel rod in multiplayer though.
