My African husband of 13 years do not allow me to cook everyday, we both work and share cooking and cleaning duties, he's a wonderful man! Whatever works best for each marriage. Glad we went to pre-marital counseling, and we both understood that it's not about cultural traditions but about God's guidance for our marriage. ❤❤❤#Lovewatchingyourchannel😊

He loves my sister and so does his family and friends. She has helped them so much financially, and with coming to America and their families coming to America as well. Not all American women cook for them, they support in other area’s and their men are faithful to them. I am don’t eat meat, but; I am going to make a Kenyan dish for my brother in law to see how he likes it. I am happy for you. My sister sad to say has yet to go to Nigeria though. Her husband and four of his kids have built their own homes, also his family members have also. Their homes are huge, and really nice, they would be very expensive if they were built is America. Hopefully that can happen for you as well, it would be nice to build your own home for you, and your husband as well.

I think there are a lot of stereotypes when being with an African man. My man is Ghanaian and we take turns (unintentionally) cooking and cleaning. Every relationship is different. But I do agree you do need to know how to cook and clean when being with African men because they do expect a “traditional” woman.

Once yo married cooking is something you need to get used to. Remember soon you will need to feed your kids too. So it's a must for any wife or mother to be. True men should also chip in but its solely the wife's responsibility.

This sound foolish to me cooking is not a gender role. I'd it is ask him to build you a house from the ground up, or change the oil, or replace a pipe in the house girl bye
