Off out into the woods for a bit of wild camping again and this time with the old vintage canvas dutch army tent . During the evening we got some rain and the dutch tent held up great .

Great camp Mark. Very interesting tent and looked pretty robust and watertight. Was that stove a Svea Optimus ? Thinking by the noise it was. The rain didn't spoil the evening luckily. Chilled and with a few beers - nice 😊 🍺👍

The 'spike's' antler you found would make a fine handle for a hefty ferrocerium rod! I came back to rewatch this video in part due to a fascination with your tent setup: it just says 'home in the wild.' And then...you pulled a shovel out of your pack. Could I carry such a load, I would include one as part of basic backpacking equipment. Trowels don't do that well in digging latrines.
Some nice filming shots of the woodland area and camping equipment, the corona beer a is nice beer I drink the 0.0 version of it and it's really nice , the antler like you said in the video a fire steel or wood shavings fire making kit .

I've had two of these tents since I was younger, great bits ok kit, but mine never managed to survive the rain aha - many nights walking home past bedtime
They are great tents but it's all about setting them up correctly 👍 set them up right and you will have no problem 👍

I thought knife handle to start with but it's not very big or fat 🤔

Another great video. I would either put a ferro rod in that antler or take it to a knife maker and have him make you a custom knife and split that antler to use for the handle. 👍🤘

I'd put a ferro rod in the antler, in fact I've been looking for one for just that purpose. I don't mind the Dutch version. In fact I may avail myself of such.
