    Hola Ed.
    Acá en Chile, muchos Chilenos no se atreven a pronunciar palabras en Ingles con "Sh", debido a que existe un complejo con ese sonido.
    Eso es debido porque acá en Chile, no es muy bien visto escuchar a alguien, pronunciar una palabra con ese sonido, porque se le suele asociar a gente flaite.
    Que significa flaite?. Flaite acá en Chile, es lo que en Inglés Britanico se conoce como "chav".
    El motivo por el cual acá en Chile, el sonido "sh" suele estar asociado con gente flaite, es porque la gente flaite tiene la mala costumbre de pronunciar palabras en Español con ese sonido. Cuando deberian pronunciarlas con "ch"
    Por ejemplo:
    Las palabras "chaleco", "chancho", "ocho" y "cuchillo". Una persona flaite diria "shaleco", shansho", "osho" y "cushillo".

    I think the problem is ʒ, not ʃ. For example, in "vision", the ʒ sound is not that voiced that it sounds, at least for me, as ʃ (sh). Same happens with "usual". They all sounds like sh with no vibration, and actually, it's kinda hard to make it vibrate.

      Thanks for your comment! Voiced consonants can be difficult if they don't exist in your native language.
