Noddy Holder you are a true legend..❤
Saw Slade live fifty years ago, shocking where that time has gone😮
Why have the elephants got big ears ?
Because Noddy wouldn't pay the ransom 😁
@@JimTimber
I don’t get it ?
Gone right off him now for appearing on this tory channel.
I love the fact that he's the one who has done the research on what are the biggest selling singles, but the others, (some trained journalists), are completely in the dark and gobsmacked 😂😂
As a 17 year old in 1973 I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that we had the best Christmas music and Christmas tv adverts. Noddy, Jim, Dave & Don didn’t just give us a fun record for Christmas in 1973 , they gave us hope that things would get better, as the country was going through some tough times. 🇬🇧🇬🇧👍👍. Merry Christmas to all .🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
You are RIGHT! It was great!
I was 14 absolutely epic era! The Top 20 at Xmas 1973 contained Elton, Slade, wizzard, Osmond's, O' Sullivan, ELO, Mott, Mud, T Rex, Bowie..and many more... including The Simon Park Orchestra! lol
There's that saying through rose tinted glasses, but the 60's 70's and 80's music was on levels todays bland musicians can only dream of. The diversity and melodies will last forever to all that lived those era's
I was 15 that Christmas and I totally agree (Wizzard and Elton as well as Slade).
crap
What a great bloke Noddy is , one of my favourites.
❤love noddy
Love Noddy ❤
It’s not Christmas without Slade an Wizard
Pogues?
@@MrChristbait You got Pogues? Sorry to hear that, but penicillin should be able to clear it up. 😉😄
Talking abour Slade . Porridge , the Christmas episode in Slade prison . Brilliant with Ronnie Barker as Fletch
@@oldfella3919 I'm probably not as old as you.
Yeah that's the problem
Can't believe this friendly and soft-spoken old man used to have the most brutal and powerful voice in rock music EVER.
BABEH BABEH BAAAABEHHHHH! \m/
No. That was Lemmy. Another friendly and soft-spoken old man.
@@professornuke7562 Not forgetting Tom Waits.
He also turned down the offer to join AC/DC when Bon Scott died.
this man is a true rock n roll legend
Great to see Noddy. Now we know it's Christmas. 🌲🌲
I am 57. For as long as I can remember Slade Merry Christmas is the song I want to hear, its all down to Noddys voice, it wouldn't be the same if "its Christmas.........." wasn't screamed out.
I had the pleasure of seeing Noddy on tour this year and he is an absolute diamond. A true performer, music and narration just flow through his veins. Whilst most people nowadays will know Slade from their Christmas song, they were an outstanding band and Noddy was a vocalist without comparison. A true rock and roller.
LEGEND!
Noddy, your song is amazing, it will always be my Christmas number 1!!😊
Agreed ❤
Noddy always seems like a really nice guy. Give him his own show!
I agree Noddy & Suzan great people.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Noddy has also been a Manchester based DJ for Piccadilly Radio. He's a rock'n'roll treasure.
Its always great to see Noddy, that song will last an eternity.
Both slade and whams Christmas songs came from a golden era of wonderfull iconic seasonal songs , that have grew and grew bigger as the years pass,..to the classic status they are now today.....it represented a Britain that was very different place to where we now live,...they were great times and I have great memories growing up as a kid in the 70s and 80s,.. had some brilliant Christmas's
Totally agree. When you think about it. There hasn’t been a genius or classic Christmas song written in the 21st century.
@@earlybird32The Darkness did a pretty good xmas song - Don’t let the Bells End brings a smile.
Christmases.
I could, nt agree more
Christmas songs are all shit , 70s 80s everywhen - Noddy seems like a decent bloke & still very excitable though
Slade brilliant 👍🏻🏴
The man with the best rock voice noddy keep on rocking noddy 🎉
Noddy Holder, National Treasure. Love you, Nod ❤
Slade is my no 1 Christmas song but so glad about wham ☺️
Yes mine too. I was 18. Great days and time's...will never be the same . Love George Michael tool sadly missed.🙏❤️
Someone with as much fame as him he could of got to big for his boots but he's always kept his feet on the ground and stayed humble all these years seems like a nice fella
Noddy what a legend grew up listening to his music long live Noddy Holder
Who’d have thought the great SLADE would have recorded one of” if not the best” Christmas songs of ALL times. What a voice.
NODDY HOLDER, absolute bloody legend! Glad to see he's still out there & kicking! ITTTSSSS CHRISSSSSTMAAAASSSS! \m/
Legend and a nice man, i was 13 when that record was 1st released, i had all Slade posters over my bedroom wall back in early 70s.
Great to see Noddy Holder, what a great character!
What am amazing down to earth person Noddy Holder is.. Human
So great that Mr Hoder still got his marbles😊😅. Great guy, grew up bopping to this in local disco in youth Centre in Hadley park Bristol. Many years ago. 😂❤🎉 Great guy! Amazing memories.
Noddy Holder is a national treasure 🇬🇧
What a legend and what a voice!!
Glad to see Noddy in top form seeing he has his health problems, good on ya Noddy !!! 👍🏴🎄
Ho bring back them days.
Noddy the legend should be knighted Sir Nod man of the people 👍
Merry Christmas Noddy my teenage idol. Slade forever ❤
Well done to Wham, so lovely to see Noddy from someone who lived and knows where he was born.
Beechdale Estate.
noddy holders dad was a window cleaner . one of his customers was John Bonham’s dads pub “Three men in a boat” A one time lodger at the pub was Robert Plant.
Didn't know that!🤔
Plant was from a posh family.
Last Christmas is an iconic ageless song and George a legend. Noddy knows genius when he sees it.
To me it's a dirge!
Still my favourite Christmas song Noddy ❤️
Brilliant song and Sir Noddy of Holder is an absolute legend ❤🎄🎄
Agree 🎄
You sound like Alan partridges radio colleque dave Clifton.
Sir noddy of holder. 😊
@@melgrant7404 How do you know I'm not? 🤔
@@angierucinski5694 hi dave
Stop interrupting Noddy when he's talking!
A load of women talking blabbering crap
It's an annoying thing that individuals do unfortunately bud.... It's infuriating.
Women.
@@nigelbevan8449 Very Woke comment. You mean 90% of Women and next year in London,I enter my 8th decade:)
@@Isleofskye What's "woke" about the comment? The last thing I am is left wing.... Total opposite actually.
Noddy is a national treasure!
Who would have bet against Fairytale of New York this year ? Noddy a National Treasure.
Probably this Sunday.
Not PC enough.
George Michael liked bums.
@@phucknuts.7065 Yep, the left probably went out to deliberately keep the Pogues off the number one spot, but hey, at least George did actually sing about #Jesus once, even it wasn’t a Christmas song.
@@aclark903How would they have gone about that?
@@isaacsmith6913 Easy. You just stream on here the song you want.
What a voice. And what a legend.
Noddy Holder, just a legend. For me definitely his band’s Christmas 🎄 song is still my Number One
Reminds me of my youth and family members dancing in the pub.Christmas Is Nostalgia.
Merry Christmas to all.
Remember seeing Slade on their 'til Deaf Do Us Part Tour', in 1982 I think. Great gig and my ears are still ringing!
What an absolute legend. Love the humour, the banter and honesty in this interview. Brilliant.
A National Treasure!
What a nice guy and brilliant song. Well done Noddy!
Lovely bloke. Awful song
Got every Slade album and all their B-sides. Good on ya Noddy! Merry Christmas all.
Same here, shame they are known by the Xmas song to most people today, they have a fabulous back catalogue
Noddy 🙏 🤶 We Love Slade in the USA ❤ 🎶 🎵
Sir noddy holder for a knighthood. National treasure.
He should refuse it like Ben and that black poet did!
We love Noddy !
It is was a cracking show. Big Ears is great too
Met Noddy at his autobiography signing back in 99. Top bloke.
Noddy and Slade are British singing legends, loved as a young person and still do as an elderly man
Really enjoy this fews hours before the rest of the house wakes up. No matter who co-presents with Anne this is always a great watch. This morning was a real joy with Noddy. Nice one GBNEWS.
Noddy is a normal Geezer. 👍
No "emotional" problems that Michael had!🤮
Your name is funny. 🤣
Noddy if you read this You an Slade are a Loved British band, an Legendary Merry Christmas to you all 🍻
Noddy Holder is such a nice guy, too, I loved Slade - the early 70s was a great time for music.
Noddy legend one of my all time favorite singers and groups Slade and Wham being Number one well deserved and miles better than the rubbish in the charts especially that rubbish Sam what's his face
Slade. One of my first “crushes” so to speak. That is, as I was just becoming aware of pop.
Good music will always be good music. The creative wasteland that is the music industry today, sucks.
I always remember the Sixties . A golden time when lyrics and melodies had a meaning . Magic .
Much as I like Noddy, I wouldn't call their Xmas song good music. It's just a fun, novelty hit.
but ya cant really state that can ya
3rd time it’s reached number 1, first time it’ll be number 1 on Christmas Day
Bullshit, what a narrow minded view, stuck in past view. There's good and bad today as there was back then. There was plenty of shit released back then as well. All this traditionalist crap that little englanders suffer with is mental. You know where you'd be happy? 1880
I was at college when those three Christmas records came out - and when Dark Side of the Moon and Tubular Bells came out which, if I remember rightly, was also 1973. Fabulous time.
Brilliant to see Noddy Holder as a guest. Thanks, Noddy for the great music and voice. Christmas wouldn't be the same without Slade's 'Merry Christmas'!
Noddy is very down to earth and that is what makes him so special
My 10 year old daughter has loved Last Christmas for years
for me slade will always be the best christmas no1 ever. ITS CHRISTMAS😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
What a great interview. Noddy is amazing. Merry Christmas, y'all
Dave is my Hero 😊💚🎧
Noddy is a legend
Good to see Noddy looking well
Here in the states I’m an elementary school teacher and I can tell you “Last Christmas” is a student favorite from K-6th!!! So much I learned it on guitar for them… I’ll have to introduce Slade to them!!! Thanks for sharing this video.
Slade, Merry Christmas Everyone, was and still is my favourite Christmas song. 1973 had some great tunes, 50 years later just goes to prove it. "IT'S CHRISTMAS " as Noddy shouts.
My brother first single record he got for a Christmas present was Slade's Merry Xmas Everybody when he was seven years old back in 1973 and mine was Gary Glitters..😕
Rock on Slade..❤
Mr Glitter may have blotted his copybook, but "Another rock'n'roll xmas" is still a great festive record that gets played through most of December in my house. In fact, in my top 20 xmas records, Slade only comes in at no 9. But music is always subjective.
Noddy and his band were always the real deal.
The peoples Led Zeppelin, great characters and players.
Simply cant ever get organic bands rooted in their towns and loved bybthe local people.
The magic was the time. Lots of misery around and it was the music that was uplifting.
Noddys song is probably the best song
Not probably, hands down.
The little man with the red and yellow car?
True legend ❤brilliant band many happy memories as a kid with attitude 😎🥰
Your number one for me this year Noddy xxx
Noddy Holder , the best rock singer to come out of the UK .
Absolutely brilliant beautiful lovely real gentleman Noddy' alawicious Holder God bless you and Slade' Merry Christmas
Entering my 8th decade in London, next year, and The Double A Side of "Last Christmas" and "Everything She Wants" is my British favourite Christmas Single and the video does help,I must admit and we all think of the extraordinarily talented George at this time. Many of the tracks on his "Ladies and Gentlemen) Album are some of the best I have heard and I have been buying records since 1960:)
Rock on!
@@dolphinbear661 Thanks, My Friend. One of the funniest gigs I went to was at "The Orchid, Purley" where there was a Dounle Vill of Slade and Status Quo and, roughly, half the audience came to see each group. This was around 1972 when Quo was building a Rock reputation.
@@Isleofskye that sounds amazing. Merry Christmas from across the Pond.
A great song. Love it. “It’s Christmas” !!!!!!!!
You're looking good Noddy after all your health issues.
Love you Nod. From Oz
Well
Always classic back then
Had the best
Unfortunately nothing today
That's why all coming back every year
Golden years back then ❤❤
My time 1960
Great England back then ❤❤
I was taken aback on seeing Anne....a real reminder of how much time has passed.
Best Christmas song will always be Slade.
In the words of our dearly departed Queen..."Thank you for making me feel so old."
Merry Christmas 🎄
Noddy is the king of glam rock and slade of course
Most major singing stars will do a Xmas song because of the royalties every year ,so very wise of Noddy.
I remember sitting with my friends next door every week waiting to watch TOTP in the early 70s loved them days
Noddy was before my time, but he’s brilliant for his age!
Fairytale of New York would have been a good number one this year
Noddy Holder is a national treasure in every sense. ❤
Long overdue that Wham song was my mom's favorite.
There are no sleigh bells or children`s choir etc on `Merry Christmas Everybody` yet the song just simply exudes Christmas. It doesn`t need any gimmicks. The lyrics are wonderful and remind you of how important family is at Christmas.
What a legend Noddy is god bless you Sir 🇬🇧
nod the rock god, full stop, keep on rockin
It was 50 years ago 💧 in,1973🎹 when Slade merry Christmas everybody was number 1 🎄😊🎄🗓️🤩🤩😘🎵🎵
I'm from holland and i love the Britisch people for their great music and sense of humor and how much they all are about the same as us dutch people!
Best wishes Noddy 🎄❤🎄
Last Christmas by Wham my fav love hearing it through the shopping centres at Christmas 2023 ❤🇦🇺
Never misses the opportunity to shout out Bilston/West Midlands 🤟🏾
Last Christmas is quite a timeless song. I think it is just a classic Christmas song with good lyrics, vocals and instrumental. It will always be good.
I think I read somewhere that George gave all of his royalties from Listen Without Prejudice to the Terence Higgins Trust. He was certainly a class act.
Oh, the Fauci scam.
