Fila flat shoes with 1/2 in. padding is what has worked for me.

12:43 I believe you when you say those are better shoes, but you can see it with your eyes that they're not completely flat... I've never won them so I have no idea how much difference that makes compared to other popular EUC shoes that are completely flat
I'm gonna go full motocross Gaerne Fastback Endurance Boots, and a nice pair of mtb kneepads. Ankle injuries are our most common.

@@WalkingwithDidi As good as I could have hoped, got it first try without try-on. They fit better than my CA redwing work boots I was measured for, and I saved $100+ off usa retail by buying from EU directly. All EU stores were +$60 to exchange, which would still be cheaper. $309 total after tax from motostorm, quality is amazing. I feel so safe with them off-road, but I admit it is a bit much for reg street rides round town. Personally, I'm not a fan of flashy armor in general tho, so your milage may vary.
Also as a side note, they feel great in my snowboard bindings, gonna use full year.

I love riding in motorcycle boots, I have much more stamina in them
I find the stiffer the shoes (motorcycle boots) the less strain on my feet.
