I'm the opposite, I like seeing a love story play out without holding back. So although I quite enjoy the sex scenes I really felt like this story didn't need it. Often times, however, romance authors will skimp out on the actual plot en lieu of smut. Smut sells and people who only write for monetary gain (who don't actually enjoy writing) gravitate to romance fort that reason. Those people also tend to write the absolute least they can get away with and will often edit out plot over the fourth exact same, word for word, sex scene.
For me a best case scenario is an amazing story that doesn't shy away from the physical literary climax of relationships (sex). Barring that, I prefer a cute sexless romance story that is well written over pw/op (porn with out plot) or even pwp for that matter. It should be plot, what do you mean these characters also get to have sex? Sweet! Lol I hope this makes sense.
All that said, there is a whole subgenre of clean romance and I'm part sure that's even what it's called. So if you want more stories that are like this one in theme, Google things like "10 best clean romance…"

This is one of my favourites of yours. The tender understanding you carefully expressed while exploring such intense grief in your characters is expertly done. I wish her father had been given an interaction with Alex prior to him turning up at her house. There was so much speculation over what he might have thought that I wanted to know.

I think I am officially addicted! Every book I listen to is better than the last. Charlie has to be one of the funniest heroines yet, although they're all amusing. I'm nuts for Hallmark movies, and other romantic comedies. The beauty of the book is that it gives you those glimpses into the psyches of the characters that a movie can't fully match. That said, Victorine Lieske, your dialog is sparking and witty! All your work would adapt beautifully to the screenplay!

Thank you for this beautiful story. ❤ It pulled at the heart strings and tickled the funny bone. I was laughing aloud in my office (earning myself some funny looks) at the Santa Clause photo scene. I honestly half expected him to find the photo on her mantle at the end. The characters are my favourite of all your books I’ve listened to so far. You are incredibly talented and generous to share your art in such a brilliant manner.
I’ve listened to about 4 or 5 of your audiobooks now and my only qualm is why do the female leads always have to be painted into a financially destitute position, waiting for their mega rich love interest to save them from their perilous situation. For example - an unemployed college graduate turning to waitressing, an maid to a movie star, an unemployed actress looking for temp work or a matchmaker with a failing business. Our girl is a colleague grad with a well respected father in the appraisal business. Surely he’d take her under his wing and give her more jobs or have her assist his own projects. Why not work at a pawnshop or have her buy stuff cheaply at garage sales and flip them on EBay. All options that would make it easy to move her life to be with the hunky Mr Norris at the end. Just a thought.

The narrator was perfect. Charlie was confident, yet vulnerable. She set boundaries - it's not okay for you to talk to me like that. Alex was moody, but willing to apologize when he was. When Charlie would challenge him he would listen.

Thank you! I can’t read anymore. It’s very frustrating & even demeaning. It’s neurological. Nothing horrid or life ending. I just have an extremely hard time. So getting through just one chapter hurts me mentally. Any free audiobook that’s romance of some kind, I love! Audiobooks cost up to 3-4x more than a wonderful paperback! The only thing I would say is narrators are definitely important! I enjoyed these two! Prefer a male & female, bc as much as some do okay at male or female voices. Some are horrible! Ruins the book!! Plus if you don’t use your eyes for reading, your ears gets way more sensitive. I hope that wasn’t tmi! I welcome? When it comes to not being able to read, and how it affects my audio experiences! Thanks again for the book!!!!!!!! ❤

This one was cute. Emotional with the losses but sweet ending as always. I got a little tired of hearing how 30 was “so old” though as I’ll be turning 32 just 5 days after Christmas and my husband is 5 years older than me but we’re not “old” by a long shot! So what if his gorgeous black hair is now peppered with grey and I may or may not have found a few pieces of platinum in my own dirty blonde hair? 😅 He’s still super hot and young at heart and I’m NOT old!
So sorry! Haha. I'm 50 and I don't feel that old either. I was trying to get into an early 20's mindset, and I did think 30 was old when I was 21. Haha! Hopefully you still enjoyed the book! Thank you for listening. :)

OKI love the clean books I love billionaire romance I love clean billionaire romances, but this is the problem with the characters. When we have clean romances we tend to have dummy females like the man just yelled at her like, I don't know a couple hours prior to or maybe 24 hours. I don't even know the timeline. He just yelled at her. He was unpredictable in his emotions you would not whack the man on his shoulder and cuddle in to him less than a few hours later just cause he apologized and let you use his hot tub. Can we at least make the reactions of the female real people's reactions like? Would you react that way after a man you literally just met and he's rude and angry and weird. Would you cuddle into him and flirt with a man like that. We need more of a build up of WHY she likes him other than he's hot. He sucks and is rude. I don't like the female character she's given 16 year old first love crush. She even claps her hands, like would you clap your hands infront of a hot guy. NOPE!! Anyways I hope tye female characters can be strong relatable characters for women. If i was 13 i would live this romance book because I don't know any better and I would react this way to a rude hot guy. But as a 35 year old married momma of 4, even my hubby would not get cuddled into of he treated me like that

If he was 'raised properly' , and to 'speak english properly', then his use of the contraction 'you are' into 'you're' would have not been pro-nounced as 'yōur' (as he most certainly did), but as 'yoū er' (of which he most emphatically di'int).

[..... drop the 'a' but follow-through with the rest of the contracted 'are'. It's a very small sound difference, but it is identifiable regardless.] ... [a-yup].
Modern english does-away with this pronunciation, but HEEEeEeEeeee, was raised to sprechen du englaise 'prop perrrrr leeeeee'.
