I grew up in Belize and was surprised how I can vividly picture what he was talking about based on your description. And when he talked about Tata Duende it made me chuckle. It took me back to my childhood, that story scared the mess out of me. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Lovely story ❤

When she said she was too needy I’m like yes because you were upset after a crazy night of weather that put a hole in your room and tore up the area and you weren’t a priority. Even if Mabel wasn’t missing he owns a resort that had suffered losses with guests and you expect his undivided attention over his responsibilities to the guests and employees.

Gotta love a meddling but wise grandmother! I love how these two characters couldn’t see pass their perspectives, it was so “life” and exactly what we do when we don’t want to be wrong. But in the end when you finally let your guard down and just let yourself be vulnerable… healing can only come by way of the truth. Thank you!!❤️

Aiden could have called to say hey, I'm running late but I'm on my way. The fact that he can't see his failure to show for their elopement was a big deal? Ugh.
As always, loved your book. Felicity was a little frustrating for me as she seemed pretty selfish with pretty unrealistic demands from a man who just wanted to make a good life with her. I suppose you wanted to show she COULD grow up, see Aiden's side of things and what a relationship SHOULD be in the end. Moral of the story though: GET YOU A GRAMS!! Lol.

Felicity is so selfish and unreasonable. Reverse the roles in this situation, if Aidan had whined at her and told her to give up her career for him that would never fly. We know she wouldn't do it yet expects him to? There's a difference between making someone a priority and straight up and just demanding they drop everything else for that person. Realistically do you know how much resentment would grow over the years between these two characters if she had gotten her way? It wouldn't be a happy relationship it would be one-sided. It's so clear how much Aidan loves Felicity and I know she loves him too but she is so full of herself. All she's done is run away from her issues and blame everyone else. It seems more like she just expects him to follow her around like a puppy and dote on her. I get she wants him to open to her but when he finally does its STILL not enough :(

I was start to listening a story I made the comment cap to outhor it was soo sickening to listen even , guy angaige to young girl and he is black mailings forcing his self raping repeadedly to his fiancees sister .. spisedly he is attracted to her ..WTF ?
I LIKE MS VICTORIAS STORYS MILD and nothing out of this world .
Also have lots of sense of humored ❤ .
I agree that Felicity is a bit selfish, but I also like that the characters are realistic... not every book has to portray unrealistic relationship situations. There are plenty of people in the world like this, or even worse.
The last I've listened to. Great as the others. I love the many ways Grams is trying to put these two together. It's funny and entertaining🤩

The biggest aspect of a relationship is UNDERSTANDING! If a person like Felicity can't have any empathy or any understanding for the partner, it's probably not the right thing to be with 1 such person! A person with a blurred perspective on what 'giving a Prioriy' is! Maturity is expected out of the partner!
A simple thing would have been to call Aiden and enquire if he needed any help since Aiden had already informed her that he was going to check on the damages to the resort

It's sad that such people actually exist in real lives as well. Luckily I haven't met 1 such person in my life yet.

@@VictorineLieske True that! I couldn't digest that such people even existed, I was startled with that. Combine that with I had a bursting headache while I was listening to that part, the above comment was the result.
I gave a break and continued listening to it next day [today] although with skepticism, the frustration threatened to rise when she asked him to give up the resort, but Martha was the saviour! I feel relieved that Felicity finally understood things!

Idk why people think Felicity is selfish. Aiden kinda sucked at showing up in general .. That's a pretty huge deal LOL. I mean sure he had good intentions . But not communicating. Or just not showing up, is extremely dismissive and inconsiderate. Like they both have their faults. For sure. But imo, he was no better than her as a partner by any means. And he lied to her about his mom all those years. Idk man. I low key didn't want them together after a while. It was a good book just like all of the others. And it was interesting seeing two ex's interact.
