    You can't really see the 100 fps if the video is recorded at 60 fps or if the person viewing the video doesn't have at least 100hz monitor. 100 fps does really look better than 60, especially when you are used to what 60 looks like and then you switch over. But it is a little more subtle.

      @@sarpkacmaz5910 Yup. But some people, for unknown reasons to me, apparently aren't able to make their brains capture the information fluidly with 30fps. They see a "lag" in the image. I don't know if this is a virtue, or a flaw. But sure as hell, either way, I prefer to be one of those who don't see the difference between 30 and 60.

      @@robertoj.9509 You realize more fps=less latency right? Thats why most people hate DLSS 3 Frame generation which Doubles the frame rate but increase latency

    • @robertoj.9509
      @robertoj.9509 Před rokem +46

      @@ForceInEvHorizon You realize there are people playing at 30, being great gamers, and not noticing the difference, right?
      The latency from 30 to 60 is different than the latency of an online game. The latency you're speaking of is actually something you can get used to. Which is why it's so easy to play games in Switch and WIIU, platforms that were famous for having almost every game at 30fps. There was no latency whatsoever, but a different way to press an input. Some people noticed the difference, others don't. Even in shooters, you see the whole animation, and you react to that animation. When compared the two monitors, there's no delay in the reaction.
      Put a 30 fps vs a 60 fps video, running from point a to point b, in a lapse of 30 seconds, and both objects will arrive the same spot at the same time. What you're losing between those two comparisons are small, tiny details that are completely unnecessary for your gameplay if your brain is capable of reading between lines. If your brain doesn't, then you need those extra frames.
      The reason behind that is that some people's brain are quick to pick up information and adapt to what they're seeing, and others need more information (60-144fps) to receive that information and make logic of what they perceive. Or let's not say logic, but to capture a fluid image of what they're seeing.
      That's exactly why you have people noticing the 60 and others who don't.
      Now, question would be: "What do you prefer?" Me, from my perspective, I prefer not noticing. I literally can plain between 30 and 60 and not seeing the difference. I only start to see a tiny difference at 22-24.

    I don't think this is a good example, fps difference is mostly noticable with sidewards motion in small rooms and rotation, because there the whole scenery is moving fast. Maybe that sounds weird for some, but if you look at 60 fps on 2:27 for example and imagine how fast those polls would go across the screen if you were to just turn 90 degress while standing infront of them, then you'd notice that it is way faster than going next to them with a car in GTA. With sideways motion a 2 meter distant wall is obviously gonna cross the screen faster than a mountain at 2km distance.I remember playing on an intel APU laptop and trying to rotate as least as possible (like going straight, turning 90° to the right and going straight foward again, instead of doing curves, because it was extremely stuttery at what I would now estimate 15 fps)
    The problem with "fast" motion by driving is, that the motion gets faster the closer it is to you, so basicallly only the road directly beneath you and trees and polls already passing by.

But I have played GTA V with fps between 15 - 27, so I know how terrible the game can be too. Still, I played 2 hours worth of GTA V's Campaign on 15 - 22 FPS on a Dual Core CPU and 760mb Vram PC back when it first launched on PC. I would never recommend that, but I still had fun.

    For playing games like GTA or RDR 2 or other games of this type, the most pleasant in my opinion is around 45 FPS.
    Because at 30 you can see some slight freezing.
    And at 60 the image becomes very unnatural.
    However, when I play racing or rally simulators, I set 75 FPS for greater immersion.
