Companies tend to select the creamy layer among the students and the most easiest way is to go to tier 1 institutes, unko waha par ek hi institute mai kafi saare candidates mil jayenge jabki tier 3 mai unko considerable amount of colleges ko ghumna padega to acquire same amount of people with almost equal talent.....top institutes mai baccho ki grasping power and analytical skills kafi aachi hoti hai already so unko train karna bhi is easy.........still skill hi matter karti hai obviously in the end iit mai hoke kya fayda jab coding round hi clear nahi ho rha

I have done BE-ECE of xxxxx Clg and my frd also done same his studied in different college(like a Tier1 clg),later We both came to Bangalore for job within a month we both got job from different companies as a software developer But His CTC and my CTC completely different....His hired for 8.5 lpa in Cognizant and Me hired for 4.2 Lpa in TCS.....one more twist[Even I done extra course of java separately fees was 42k,His nothing done anything]......before come to Bangalore His said me many times like your very brave and java killer but I don't know anything like.......But finally His college helped him lot to build him career......Still we both have been staying in same location almost 6 years and we don't have partiality......I just said this for example.....and still we are room mates and good frds..... However you remembered my old memories thats great feel.....
College is definitely a key factor in your first job offer. But your next job completely depends on you. People who have started with 5k per month with some decent efforts are now earning 1lakh per month after 3-4 years.

Now I'm a DevOps Engineer and having an equivalent pay which a software eng from a so called good college would get as mentioned by this guy. So guys, I can say at last what matters the most is your Skillset + How you Market yourself. (Not only Skillset) Alot more to achieve, want to prove everyone that if you can't afford (even if you're not capable to go through this process) B. Tech from a Tier 1 that does not mean your life is over and you can't win and dominate.
