🚨 For everyone that wanted a deeper review of Rabbit R1, be careful what you wish for. Here's a full review of every feature, and it's not good: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
I'm watching this specifically for the Rabbit R1, so I was kind of disappointed that you did not include it with the tests, even if it would fail them. I just wanted to see the current honest status; the good, bad, and ugly.
Will be diving deeper into the rabbit soon, but right now it can’t even change its own time zone.
Totally get it, here's a complete review of the Rabbit R1: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Bro is unnecessarily dragging rabbit r1 into this.
Dragged it all by itself here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Siri vs Humane Ai pin -there I fixed the title for you
siri and humane answers were sped up. not cool. I did a simple mic google search with the prompts and it was better than siri and humane in speed and answers and visually giving the answer.
Exactly. Also, it’s not really a comparison to just take your AI devices on a pub quiz challenge. Let’s talk about real life practical usage. Siri is not what these other devices are. In particular the R1
Be careful what you wish for: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Not to mention that Siri sounds the most natural. Ai pin voice is so robotic
R1 is a toy at 200 bucks, and that's why I bought it. It's gonna be a cool smart toy, and cheap enough that I'm okay with handing it to my kids to mess around with too, rather than my 1200 dollar smartphone. I think Rabbit is really leaning into the "cool toy" idea with that design, and they're doing something special with that large action model, even if the hardware ultimately becomes redundant with "smart Siri". We're in the early 90's all over again when people were trying to figure out how to monetize this new "internet thing", but now with AI. I'm here for it and loving it!
I bought it for the same reason
Just buy an old phone tho if you wanted something cheap
How's the experience so far after all the controversy?
Thanks, but the Rabbit R1 is only $199.00 and no subscription. So a fun tech toy for nerds like me.
It’s fun for sure, just doesn’t have a lot of functionality right now. Can’t even change its own time zone
@@beardfm yes, I'm having a problem with the Plaud recorder. It will only show military time.
Full review of the R1 is up now: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
You can't even play games on it. Get a Quest 2 instead and you'll have the best experience
Why didn't you talk about the camera function of the rabbit r1?
Will be diving deeper into the rabbit soon, but right now it can’t even change its own time zone.
Covered now: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
I think Siri wouldn’t have had this update if these AI devices hadn’t come around.
Rabbit sounds so much more natural!
To be fair, you missed few key things response time, pricing, full capability of R1 LAM, you also missed Galaxy AI
Galaxy AI wasn’t even included in the first place, but yeah, Rabbit R1 barely got any attention in the video
Will be diving deeper into that, but right now it can’t even change its own time zone.
@@beardfm oww that’s a good start for the rabbit… /s
Just published an entire video dedicated to Rabbit R1: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
I wish there was an uncut version where we see the wait time.
Did that in the Rabbit R1 review I just posted here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
I think for general knowledge processing with memory (meaning, you can ask for follow up information within context) the Rabbit R1 takes the cake. It might be slower than directly using ChatGPT on your iPhone, but remember this is a first gen product. Cool thing about it is the team has an awesome feature roadmap this year and they're even working on a desktop version of their OS.
I don't think standalone AI devices will replace smart phones anytime soon, but I'm all in for a companion device that makes the gathering and extracting of useful information fun. One day Rabbit might even make mobile computing more personalized, seamless and AI driven, and I'm all in for that as well.
I'm looking forward to more videos comparing the devices. I would be interested to know whether Siri also has a learning mode like the r1?
I don’t think so, but maybe that’s coming with iOS 18
The AI Pin... really needs to improve in term of speed. Like, seriously priority.
Rabbit R1 is pretty good and could open up workflow with computer at home.
Siri can be smarter, Apple really needs to allow some workflow beyond Shortcuts, like ability to control home server more easily. Siri also needs the multimodal vision capability.
I would have liked to see a comparison of response times, I think it's a big part of it
Showed full Rabbit R1 response times here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
@@beardfm thanks!
Cool vid! Your shortcuts vids are grate, thanks!
Appreciate that!
Why'd you stop asking the Rabbit R1 questions too 😁
Will do a deeper dive on it soon!
Saved an entire video for it: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Apple's Siri might have won your voice assistance challenge for now while it waits for IOS 18 update at wwdc 2024 keynote event.
It's application for elderly and disabled folks who can't handle the increasingly complex interface of smartphones could be life changing. This can't be understated. I'll be exploring this path when I get one in a few months.
For me personally, after decades in tech, I'm excited to use something different, smartphones are somewhat boring now being highly evolved tech that barely changes.
I understand there are a lot of museums that are looking at rabbit r1 to do guided tours and have it answer any questions you have inc photoing small sections of a painting and getting info about the small details. I's UI simplicity is a win for many industries.
This isn’t testing Siri’s knowledge it’s testing it’s ability to google what you already said.
Should've included in the GoogleAssistant/Gemini on Android
the problem is the pin is a $700 action button
Thanks for sharing. Blessings
when did siri get so good lol
I just need to know more about your hat, where did you get it and what it means?
Haha you're the first to ask! It's the logo for my movie podcast! Listen here: mots.fm and hat here: beard.fm/shop/p/mots-dad-hat
No use of the rabbit camera, no use of the action model such as asking to get a car, get food, to look at items for assistance. I've seen someone point at a book shelf and ask for a summary of a book, some one looked at a bar and ask what drinks could be made. I've seen it pointed at food for recipes, I've even seen it pointed at hand drawn spread sheets and they took it a step further by adding additional columns and dictating the additional info needed to fill the non existent column and the rabbit killed that task and sent it in an email.
You basically compared a Tesla to a Honda Accord, tested the blinkers, horn, radio and said they worked the same. Without testing the self driving, smart summon, or auto parking. 🤷🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
That’s how many people (even in science) roll today…
First decide what you want to prove (or believe), then hand-select fitting evidence while ignoring everything else.
Conformation bias in full effect
Had a great laugh reading your comment, it’s soooo on point 🤷🏻♂️
Will be diving deeper into the rabbit soon, but right now it can’t even change its own time zone.
Gave the Rabbit R1 a fair shake, wasn't great: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Interesting. When I give the same "Give me five synonyms for the word facetious" prompt to Siri on my iPhone 14 Pro (with latest iOS 17.4.1 update), Siri consistently replies "I found this on the web" instead of bringing up a direct Knowledge response. Does anyone know why?
Weird! The movie example I used was inconsistent as well. Sometimes told me straight, other times gave web results.
Are you planning to review or compare the answers of the Rayban-meta smart glasses too?
I’ve been thinking about that…
3:43 I wonder if the Humane AI Pin was just being polite by referring to "tree" in response to your question. Pineapples don't grow on trees but on a plant close to the ground, a common misconception. I thought it was interesting that the pin still referred to it as "tree," while Siri didn't mention "tree" or "plant."
BTW, the only reason I know this is because my father would joke that he climbed pineapple trees as a kid growing up in Cuba. Dad humor. 🤦
Haha well it’s news to me now too
Too bad using the iPhone means locking yourself into Apple's walled garden.
You can use Android too! Google Assistant is arguably even better.
I bought the AI pin strictly for translation feature at work as I’m unable to communicate with coworkers.
Is that feature solid and worth it?
I don’t know about worth it when a phone can do it too, but it doesn’t work fairly well. If you have long conversations though it may overheat and need to take a break
These devices aren't meant to do what the phone does. Try to get Siri to identify things in a picture, or to look at a physical piece of paper and summarize the information on it. It's a bit silly to try to compare them to these phone assistants because that's not what they are, that's just one small part of what they do. It's a bigger part now than it will be in the future, sure, but they already do more.
Turns out, the phone is better at those things too. Shown here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.htmlsi=_mTDyieKWAzWrMHt
There is the chat got app that I have mapped to my action button
True
Exactly what I was looking for. Good video. Thanks.
Glad to hear it!
Also I understand this was maybe just a preliminary look at comparisons between these devices but to make it a fair comparison, you should have aimed to ask each device the same question using the same wording each time as to negate any possibility of one giving answers slower or inaccurate do to slight misinterpretations. Plus, the R1 was left out many of the comparison questions.. Still, thanks for the review!
Definitely could have been more in-depth throughout. I did give the R1 a direct, in-depth review as a follow-up here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.htmlsi=4gnSPgRh2yCJq4TC
Can you do a speed test vs each other.
I get different answers from siri. Sometimes are vocal response sometimes not. But with the same question.
I've been watching the Rabbit R1 for a while, and I think I will try to purchase one once there is more functionality to make it worth it. $199 is affordable in tech world but also $199 is a huge investment in my reality lol
Subscribed!! Thanks for this video
Appreciate that! And I do an even deeper dive in to the R1 here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.htmlsi=qtxKJJz8bb2HocFn
Siri doesn’t give me a nice summary on the latest release. It’s probably a region thing, as I’m in Canada, and it likely hasn’t rolled out here.
Oh interesting, will need ask for more examples from outside the US
Use the google assistant and gemini, why limit to these 3 and only apple.
The one thing that could be improved on all of the answers is wordiness. Asking them "How far is the Sun from the Earth?" The answer should've been "93 million miles." That's it.
Yeah, I agree. That's the biggest issue I have with AI, too. It's often not as straightforward as you might like
I'm not here for siri I wanted to see which ai is faster you rounded the idea
They’re both slow, R1 is a tad faster
@beardfm thank you, sorry if I was roud
In-depth on the Rabbit R1 here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Can you use vision with SIRI?
Visual lookup works on any photo you take, yes
@@beardfm can you make a video on the most efficient way to do it w/ Siri? Maybe even compare against having the GPT or Perplexity app on the action button.
In what is it more convenient than an Apple Watch?
Nope, Apple Watch is more convenient
image having ai on your phone
asking Large Language Model questions does not showcase the power of the rabbit r1's Large Action Model
the iphone & humane ai pin cannot do any tasks for you like the r1 does
it can do stacked requests (get me an uber to the library, and tell my sister im going to be late, oh and update the spreadsheet i just took a picture of but swap column 3 with 4 plus add a pie chart and email it to my department head) and interprets natural language more consistently than the other 2
Will try those out, but initially the r1 isn’t good at executing those either.
Here's the "Power" of the Rabbit R1: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
The iPhone is heavy and there is the hassle of using AI by using shortcut keys for several apps, but the R1 is light and has the advantage of being able to handle various tasks with a single button. It also has the excellent advantage of being able to complete reservations or calls in one go.
You’ll still need to carry your phone though
Let's not downplay that Rabbit R1 is forcing the big two (Apple/Google) to get off their a$$ and start innovating again. We need tech that gets us away from having to use apps on screens.
I’m all for it and agree that Apple needs to make big moves in this space come WWDC
That's lame! You didn't test any of Rabbit R1 strenghts: asking to play music, to order uber or a pizza or to record a session with automatic summary!
Utterly biaised review!
Will be diving deeper into the rabbit soon, but right now it can’t even change its own time zone.
You're right, reviewed the Rabbit R1 all by itself here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
@@beardfm thanks! appreciate it.
OK, Google. What is this dude talking about? What are these devices at all? 🤣 Just kiddin', great video Stephen.
Haha appreciate it 😉
was there some kind of time pressure on you to make this video? You apparently only had the Rabbi R1 for a couple of hours, but for some reason included it in the title... you didnt even do anything with it in the video!
Just published an entire video dedicated to the R1: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Yeah comparing the search answers as the only metric to use them is a bit shortsighted. Kind of a bad review. I hope you spend more time with them and really try all their functions.
Done: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.htmlsi=w-GrnaAq1droUEOY
You didn’t use the vision feature on the R1 which is pretty powerful that Siri cannot do and that humane is in beta. You didn’t try asking them all a song query, you can ask rabbit multiple questions about something one after the other which Siri cannot do. The list goes on. Asking basic queries does not put these devices through its paces or show off their full potential. With a rabbit you can look at a table and create a spreadsheet that sends to your email, and those LAM features will only expand.
Will be doing further testing on things like that!
Reviewed every Rabbit R1 feature here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
I on earth would you edit the silence. I think you all have a problem. Leave the silence to see how long it lasts.
Typically I would but the silence is way too long on these Ai devices
Left the silence in for some requests here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
You left out one really important thing: price! The iPhone costs a lot of money! The ai pin is clearly over priced! I have a cheap smartphone and I ordered a rabbit r1, all together they cost 350 bucks! Can't beat that for value
Price is important, but even a $400 iPhone SE blows both of these devices out of the water
@@beardfm why would I spend 400 bucks just for siri? I'm happy with the phone I have, so it makes more sense to spend 200 for the r1
Especially considering no subscription fees. It’s in the early stages and I am impressed with the vision of Rabbit Inc/Jesse Lyu. Really excited about the potential!
The AI pin voice seems depressed
It's a little low-energy, would love several voice options.
cept pineapples don't grow on trees.
😳
pineapples dont grow on trees
On top of its other shortcomings, the Ai Pin's voice is downright depressing by comparison. Like she knows that she's trapped inside a sad product.
haha that's kind of a funny image. But yes, I wish there were multiple voice choices.
Asking random cool stuff for $700 (Lunar at $800) one time purchase and at $25 monthly subscription? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Nah I’m good. I’m good. I’ll stick to my smartphone….which at least can do calendar events. 😬😬😬
The R1 is $199 and no subscription fees. Well worth it imo even if only as a toy. But I see the potential of it being a powerful productivity and creative tool. It’s in the early stages and I find the vision of the company compelling.
Yes, Siri is wonderful. It’s the shit. Ask iPhone users. They lov- oh wait….
Is this partly sponsored by Humane AI Pin? It seems like that.
Nope, bought it with my own money and they didn't send it to me early. I do like it more than the Rabbit, but I gave the R1 a more in-depth look here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.htmlsi=rffV8-R5wF_FsHWV
@@beardfm I do see that in every response, do you have an in-depth on Humane AI Pin instead? (Since you do like it more than Rabbit)
iphone siri was always AI but they hype today is completely an overkill and out of touch with reality. Apple was already ahead of the game, no one noticed.
And WWDC may put it even farther ahead!
I agree... the phone is a good premium product that is good and nice to use coz you have it with you all the time... plus with the apple watch and airpods... siri gets usefull with those products... the AI pin sucks... and is junk
Well if you'd like to see more Rabbit R1 testing, just published here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
The phone doesnt totally win, in my opinion, because, it doesn't read out its answers, everytime.
True, I’d like to see that improved.
So far that is the poorest review that I've seen of the rabbit. You definitely favored your phone. Try next time showcasing how I can track conversations which you're silly phone can't do
Will be diving deeper into the rabbit soon, but right now it can’t even change its own time zone.
Full review of the Rabbit R1 just posted: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Why do reviewers (or the kind of reviewers who are trying to shed some positive light on dumb Ai gadgets) ask the Ai the most simple, dumb, unchallenging questions. And why would anyone want to spend a chunk of money a clumsy, tacky, kitschy-looking gadget to ask it something that they could just as easily ask ChatGPT on their phone ... in fact, they could ask far more complex and multi-layered questions ... even ask it to produce code for a functioning website ... all on their own phone which is already connected to their Wifi or cellular plan ... and be able to view the answer on their phone's much larger, high resolution screen? Users rarely go anywhere without their phone ... so I'm waiting for someone to please explain why they'd need to spend extra money on a gadget that does a crappier job at providing info that the ChatGPT App can provide on to them on their phone instantly ?!
Pushed the Rabbit R1 on it's features here, it's not great: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
SIRI WINNING AGAINST AI MODELS!!!
2024 boy oh boy!
Just wait til iOS 18 at WWDC too 👀
TItle shouldnt even have the R1 in it - this is hardly an R1 video - and every comment has this guy replying "It cant even change its own time zone" - Wow we get it man, you dont like it because it can't change time zones.
Did a deep-dive solely on the R1 here: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.htmlsi=j94SX2eqASHOHosl
Very poor review of the Rabbit R1. The Rabbit (from videos I have seen (not this one)), does a lot of things that the iPhone cannot. Example of one, the converting of an image into a spreadsheet. Check out other videos regarding the Rabbit to ascertain if you want to buy it, because I would not make a decision based on this video review.
Will be diving deeper into the rabbit soon, but right now it can’t even change its own time zone.
@@beardfm Well then, it sounds like a deal breaker. From videos I have seen about the R1, it summarizes articles and books from its camera; it can convert a handwritten sheet into an actual spreadsheet (while modifying it verbally in real time); it can record audio and transcribe short audio and summarize long ones; it can smoothly translate language in conversation (albeit strict/formal translation). The best thing in my opinion is it is relatively inexpensive at $199 AND no subscription fee (for now). Nevertheless, my point from my comment was missed. Why did you include this item (The R1) in your header if you did not review it and make it seem you made a comparison of all 3 items? The header is misleading. Your review looks more like an advertisement for your Apple products. There are people out there that dislike shiny Apple products.
You're just, just published an in-depth review of the R1 now: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Siri is useless (especially on HomePod). AI Pin is better ai and translates language on-the-fly very quickly (soon will do this in your own voice). Just received a rabbit. Let the ai wars begin.
I hate that depressed AI Pin voice. And it does the same crap ChatGPT does and won't shut up. Just say yes or no man!
The R1 voice is amazeballs! Realistic inflections and everything!
Apple glazing is real
Here's the R1 all by itself: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Everyone is obsessed with generative AI. Siri is already an AI Assistant. It's just not a GPT model, which will lie when it doesn't have an answer. For the most part, Siri is already better than all these gimmick devices.
Really, it's a bad review. You obviously like the pin, and at $699 plus a subscription, what's not to like? You hardly talked about Rabbit R1 and gave your best to Siri. What planet are you from? Just my opinion.
Had the R1 for two hours, will be diving in deeper soon
Here's the R1 in-depth: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Siri sucks, even if you are trying to spread FUD in hopes apple will sponsor your future video. What's up with these apple fanboys?
Apparently, you're iPhone heavy user. The R1 is not a replacement for smartphone as CEO said. Go do some more homework as well as work on your weight. Until then I enjoy my R1 batch 6 when it arrives,.
😂 chill out mike.. work on your ego
Did a deep-dive on the R1, just published: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
Mike, apparently you're an R1 heavy fan. Comparing the voice assistant features of different devices is a fair and same-domain comparison, and has nothing to do with things being a smartphone or not. Boy are you gonna be sad when the R1 flops. Also, chill.
These ai companies will fail
What’s wrong with this Guy is lost
Rabbit r1 review was pretty lame. Do your homework. This was a fail.
It can’t even change its time zone right now, so there’s that
Did my homework, R1 struggled: czcams.com/video/t_A7J-LxSuI/video.html
I agree this Guy doesn’t understand the technology!!
