Hi there Artur! Can you please react to ArmsChair history again but this time Operation Bagration which is considered Nazi Germany’s worst defeat in WW2. Please!
Imagine just fuckin yeeting tanks into enemy territory. Epik tank transport
Ah the Gustav Cannon, my favorite map in Call of Duty WWII
At least the zombie mode doesn't look like a science fiction movie on acid...
Lol same, I like playing with my mg 15 full metal jacket in domination.
Just so you know, the Maginot line didn't fail at all. It did exactly what it was supposed to.
Made the Germans go around it? wait, that's exactly what it was meant to do
@@mrrexychomp9829 yep that was the intention.
Well technically they did go though it but not with the main force and it was broken in just a week and it only took that long because it was not the main focus
@@mrrexychomp9829 yeh
@@mrrexychomp9829 My thoughts, exactly 😆.
Love your channel Artur!! Soon as I have some extra cash I'll be getting myself some Estonian cups!!
Hi there Artur! Can you please react to ArmsChair history again but this time Operation Bagration which is considered Nazi Germany’s worst defeat in WW2. Please!
Dark docs is great! With an auctioneer narrator and many spin-offs... There's dark skies, dark footage, dark 5... I love the use of film, which might not necessarily be of the topic being discussed, but always at least parallel to it, and legitimate military footage. I love how you're reacting to everything I watch Artur. Aitäh!
That "I've already got a name for my son" line was high quality
Nice thumbnail....

Thx

Matsimus ????
My grandfather's brother had a picture of himself straddling Anzio's rail gun in Italy.
I don't consider this a tank but you should react to the P-1000 Ratte that's a crazy tank concept.
I think there was one bigger than Ratte but I dont remember the name mabye a Monster or something like that...
@@heromark9185 there was an enormous SPG design called the P.1500 monster.
@Gear4Bounceman Yep. Even the Dark Docs -narrator implied that the ”Schwerer Gustaf” is not a tank (by mentioning the ”Maus” as the largest tank ever). ”Schwerer Gustaf” is certainly not a tank, it’s a rail gun, literally an artillery piece. Like ”Katyusha” is not a tank, either.
The Ratte is a derivative of the Russian land battlecruiser concept as the designer worked in those too before returning to Germany.
The biggest tank never built
Fun fact: Maginot line can take a Nuke and the occupant's will still be safe inside it's bunkers...
Airburst nuke.
There are ground penetration nukes
@@Boeing_hitsquad Still, A 1930's Fortification being able to withstand nukes is Incredible.
I think, if I remember correctly Sevastopol was the target hit with most shells from Schwerer Gustav
The Dicke Dora. My grandfather had photos of her shooting.
the Schwerer Gustav may be the largest gun ever build but you should react to the P.1000 Ratte super tank that sadly was never built
pfee that is nothing compared to p1500 monster
@@Belnick6666 p1500 is not a tank its a self propelled artillery. if germany actually made the ratte it would be the biggest tank in ww2.
@@Belnick6666 also the video artur is watching isnt about a tank its about large rail gun. And also the thing you just mentoined is a self propelled artillery. Not a tank.
Nothing can withstand the force of the almighty dragonzord! .... sadly it was never made.
not every concept idea gets built. The next generation of Wehrmacht tanks were streamlined with commonality of parts for optimized manufacture and higher production numbers. The heavy tanks would have beaten the King Tiger, but the series was mainly focussed on getting the entire line of light and medium tanks as well as assault guns sorted. Even that plan was out of touch with reality, but none in the Wehrmacht planned to build any super tanks.
I can’t help myself I’m sorry to everyone he said “it’s too damn big” THATS WAHT SHE SAID 😂😂😅😅
Great channel, and you're a good guy. I also fight depression and I hope you're doing better my friend. .🤟💖🤟💖🤟🤙🤙🤙
The tifle in your vid says biggest tank ever, but as an old artillery man, please note, this is a gun, not a tank sir. 😉
Each time I feel sad, you always cheer me up!
For comparison: Moscow Kremlin has 5-meter-thick brick walls; so, 7 meters of concrete, that’s impressive.
*Metre
A "meter" is a tool or device used to measure.
@@Boeing_hitsquad westerners uses meter instead of metre
@@Boeing_hitsquad You kidding me? A massive portion of the world, if not even most of it uses the word "meter" as the base unit of length.
@@Boeing_hitsquad both are correct, depending on British-English or American-English
Just so you know the maginot line was supposed to make the germans go around it so that the allies could fight the germans in belgium,so only one front would be the fighting ground, but blame it on belgium they didnt allow the allies in and then when the germans attacked they asked the allies to come and help
It's a artillery gun not a tank but they did design a tracked virsion of it that was like 2 times bigger than the p1000 ratte it was called p1500 monster sadly there is very little information on it in general but at least u now know that was designed
15:34 ok, we named the heaviest tank ever build, Maus/Mouse ..
and they say germans have no humor 🤣
Hey Arthur! i have some reaction ideas:
1. Challenger 3, britains new op tank
2. x-15 plane, the fastest plane in history (yes faster than sr-71)
3. The ww2 Battle of Raseiniai, a single soviet kv tank fights against many germans
I know it wasnt a real tank and it only had blueprints but you should watch Hitler's super tank the p. 1000 ratte
I just found your channel and subscribed. Your videos and humor are great.
8:48 ~ 122,080 feet.... that's an odd way to say 23 miles (37 km)
By searching the internet, there is actually an H-45 battleship with 8 x Gustav cannons. It most likely is just made up stuff as literally nobody would want to build a ship with around 600 000 ton displacement.
When he doesn’t watch the animation: *cries in Simple History*
I have photos of my 6'4" tall grandfather standing by the breech of a disassembled one of these railway guns in 1945.... the thing was absolutely massive...
Thanks for checking them out
I love dark docs glad you found there channel 💚
yeah i like dark docs as well
Artur, your personality is infectious...peace!
It wasn't a tank, it was a rail mounted artillery.
Can you do a reaction to the fallen of ww2 by Neil Halloran? Its not exactly and upbeat video but it is very well made and puts ww2 casualties into perspective for everyone affected
Hes watched it before already a while back.
This wasn't a tank, it was a Railroad gun. Though, if you want to see the biggest tank, watch "The Largest tank never build" by Potential History. czcams.com/video/wRVgO-qWDLI/video.html
Yup i was wondering why is this called a tank doesnt even look like a tank.
@@americanpatriot1234 IKR
In the video docs said that the P1500 monster would’ve been 500 tonnes heavier than the Panzer 8 Maus. That gave me a brain hemorrhage.
The French didn't finish the Maginot line because they thought the Germans wouldn't go around it, The French lacked the money to finish it, and having the large wall would've harmed their relations with Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemborg.
It's not a tank, it's a railway artillery gun. Calling the schwerer gustav a tank is like calling an M1 Abrams infantry.
800mm is pretty nice :P
the shell that you can see on google image next to a russian t-34 tank and the shell look as big as the tank :P
Fun fact: Despite Bismarck size. It still wouldn’t fit 8 Gustavs on to the ship. So Germany decided to design the future line of Bigger Bismarck Close known has H class. There is one design that suppose to fit 8 Gustav cannons.
3:18 Well they didn't extend the Maginot line because they ran out of money because Frances economy got hit pretty hard from the great depression. They also didn't want to trap Belgium with Germany I'm pretty sure. If they did do that that would cause some alliance political issues. Weird but cool I guess. It also stoped Germany from doing a surprise attack on the french but ya definitely didn't work out as well as you'd think it would.
Just so you know, I got your hat and I love it, but if you get the hat in Navy "Estonian soldier" looks like "onion sold" because the black letters blend in with the navy colored hat😂
15:00 the reason Germany would have wanted a gun to fire at London would've been for 3 me known reasons: 1. The V2 was very expensive to make, and the payload not worth it, especially because of already existing fuel shortage (of course it didn't use the same as the tanks, but still, the fuel resources could be used otherwise), 2. The V1 rocket, which was arguably somewhat cost effective, could be hunted and shot or otherwise destroyed by planes, and 3, more shots could've been fired in a smaller time frame
I think the reason they were building a another one in range of London was so they could still cause damage to London while focusing on the airfields and factories.
Ok so, im doing a project for my culinary class where we research a country and make a presentation of the food and culture. I went with Estonia and i need your opinion on some good foods to try and make
I can already tell that a German man somewhere out there has already called a certain part of their body ‘Heavy Gustav.’
Love this guy
The Maginot Line actually did its job to perfection. As the video said, the line was meant to divert any German offensive efforts up to Belgium, where France would easier be able to fight them. Unfortunately, the reason this plan failed was, to the best of my knowledge, twofold. One: Franco-Belgian relations deteriorated over the 1930's as Germany invaded more and more territories while France did nothing about it, leading Belgium to believe that France wouldn't come to their aid either if it came to that. Two: the Maginot Line was much weaker in the Ardennes because that forest was believed to be so thick that it acted as its own natural impenetrable barrier, and as such building a highly fortified wall through it would be a waste of resources. Naturally, the Germans went right through that as well.
I am getting a fish shirt and a mug soon, As a thank you for wonderful videos
Even though the Gustav isn’t around any more, there are a few of Germany’s “smaller” railway guns still around, Like the One at the United States Army Ordinance Museum, in Virginia.
You are telling me its shell weight was equal to Soviet BT light tanks and it was in reality Tank launcher!
You should see the plans for the H44 class or known as fuhrer class it was huge guns were might to be 580mm for its main guns.
ANOTHER GREAT REACTION VIDEO !! :D
Bro, I recommend you react to this: "DESERT STORM NARATED BY THE PILOTS". I grew up watching this and its always defined how I viewed DS and the Air Force.
it was a
artillery gun not a tank
yes it was a rail mounted artillery
So fun fact Bismarck/ h-class battleships are actually smaller then Iowa-Class battleships.
I was going to recommend you react to this.
ever heard of the V2 ? "Vergeltungswaffe 2" ? "retribution weapon 2". first Object in Space. That was one of many "crazy" stuff. We also had later on the first Stealth bomber aka "horton bomber". All of that got scrapped and "stolen" by the US in the Operation paperclip, they use this Tech to this day. Also the name "BLITZKRIEG".. we diddnt used it was another army offensive, later on the Allies called it Blitzkrieg.
The Maginot line did NOT Fail! It actually succeeded very well and what it was designed to do & The French soldiers fought bravely in defending it. It was the French government & military elite that let them down.
You should react to Armchair Historian's video about the battle of Shanghai
dark docs and dark skies are very cool
Great video! You should do a video over the “UFO’s” that the United States pentagon has been declassifying. As a soldier who has seen military aircraft I know people would love your commentary of the unknown objects. Much love from Oklahoma USA 🇺🇸❤️
2:21 your guess isnt that far off. The Bullet Diameter of the Gustav is 800mm
I remember using the Estonian Krona, before they switched to the Euro
Geez, this thing was nearly 2x the diameter of the 16"" guns on the Iowa class battleships, and the first test firing reached 23 miles as apposed to the 20 mile limit of the 16" guns!
You should watch a video on the Panzer VIII Maus it's crazy. The first V-2 wasn't in combat September of 1944. the rail gun was finished in 1941.
It’s not a tank it’s a gun
You should react to the T95/T28 superheavy tank
You should do a video on brandon Herrera's new AK-50 prototype
The Schwerer Gustav is more of a rail artillery and a giant gun than an actual tank.
If you want to see a large tank, try reacting to the P1000 Ratte and the Panzer VII Maus.
Me: 0:32 - 0:35 I think those are called trains...
So, new to the channel, been mainly watching older videos, what happened to the discord?
Actually, Artur, I would argue the Maginot Line worked perfectly.
The German attack, when it came, fell on Belgium first. Not France. As intended. because the French suck that way.
We should build one anyways, not for war but for ceremonial purposes and a grand achievement in engineering.
Dark docs is the og 3:35 it’s been done since the Great Wall of China
thats a railway gun not a tank but there were plans on putting it on tracks
No-one:
Historians: ItS cALLeD RAiL gUn AcTuAlLty!
THAT IS NOT a tank!!
Artur there was a project for my school and i choose Estonia and I got a b+ for it and found so much about Estonia
I thought the gustav was a railway cannon.
You should react to coast guard bootcamp
This is more of a railway gun then a tank but alright
Karl Gerat is pretty cool tho
tank round video please!!
Yeah
They are using the metrics system. I use the imperial system. I'm always lost when they use the metric system. Lmao.
All you need to know is 52cm is massive for a rifled gun.
Only USA and EU countries used imperial system. All other countries use metric system.
@@wilardabestano6794 EU countries use the metric system. Only USA, Liberia and Myanmar use imperial system.
I've used both. But only smaller items in metric. 100kg to mcg with mg/ml/mm being most common.
I memorized long long ago that 76.2mm is as close to 3inches as you can get without getting silly.
I’m starting to think that the phrase “go big or go home”was started by the German engineers of ww2
This was supposed to be mounted on the ratte tank case
Is that new furniture on the AR or am I simply remembering wrong?
Dark Docs is pretty good but I can't stand the narrator's way of speaking.
Title: Biggest 'Tank' Ever
Video: talks about a rail gun
Still like it though
240 likes and no dislikes, nice
10:45 well the euro is basically the same thing XD
If this had been ready for France it would have blown the MLine to bits and distracted the high command and people of France.
Their Minds and Their Line Would Have Been Blown!!
The maus was the heaviest tank ever built
The tsar tank was the biggest in dimensions
The t95 was the widest ever built
the Karl gerat was the largest gun in tracked vehicles
The sturmtiger had the biggest gun in actual tanks
This would’ve never saved the Bismarck, it was actually doomed by an aircraft which disabled it and resulted in its absolute surrounding and devastation.
The note's the biggest weapon ever made blitzCreek
Sir what caliber should the gun be?
Hittler:yess!!
You should watch the Ratte which is an actual tank and would have been over 1000 tonnes.
Artur Rehi the Gustav is a rail mounted artillery not a tank the largest tank is the panzer VIII maus
I'm glad the Nazis invested so much into novelty weapons instead of Tiger tanks!
clearly overkill! *grunt grunt grunt*
Want a weird tank? Check out the Kaizer Tank from WW1!
Its a bloody mako cannon
Big weapon
Artur you still haven't seen the British Challenger 2 and the new planned Challenger 3 MBT It's armor couldn't be penetrated by an Abrams only the Leopard Can Pierce its armor
