Rainy Day Scything for Mulch

onescytherevolution.com/index... Finally had some time to get back to mowing, and of course, it will be raining for the next three days. Luckily I am not trying to make hay. Just mulch for my new windrow garden beds.Grass-fed vegetables! I added a wedge to the tang of the blade to raise the tip and cutting edge, so that the blade would glide better over the thick thatch, without getting hung up.

In the conditions shown in the video and using a well peened blade, how long (in meters/yards) before honing again?

What type of grass are you mowing?

Mostly brome with some orchard grass.
