    The thing people aren't getting is this is not an introductory tutorial video. With some experience, these videos are great for new ideas, and thereby the fast pace helps keep ideas moving and already knowing the chord shapes makes it easy to follow.

    keep coming back to this vid. Its gorgeous. Like a musical fruit smoothie.
    For the nay sayers, I have every chord Reg plays on a wallchart. 6,5 and 4 chords. No magic tricks here.
    its just the timing which is beautiful.

    I agree with a lot of these comments. If it's a lesson, it's for intermediate players that want to expand. But this is not a lesson, it's sharing ideas with like wise capable advanced players. Shame, would love it if you slowed it down, picked out the chords, and helped some of us mortals.

    Folks take a big deep breath and listen to what he is saying and if you do not understand a syntactical definition or metaphor pause it and Google it. Remember if you don't know the syntax you can not have the conversation. On the flip side this is better than needle dropping.

    This is my advice... the guy is really good but not for beginners... this is the way he provide free lessons and all we have to do is to accept. The chords are formed fron scales... and as long as you have the 1 4 5 in you... all you have to do is to listen and look to what he is doing and nit to what he is saying. Well... take or leave ir

      +foxybrown2
      Foxybrown2, I'd really appreciate knowing where to locate the, "Slow Down Button" you're referring too. I've been wanting to slow down certain tutorials on You Tube for years, but never knew how and never looked into it. If by chance it's too involved and requires a ton of computer work, well, it might confound me, plus, it would be too much to ask of you. However, it's something relatively simple, I greatly appreciate knowing about.
      Thanks!

  • @LuGiah
    @LuGiah Před 8 lety +2

    im rather beginner (few years jazz guitar tehory studying, many years bass in bands) and i can keep up what he is saying, what are you guys whining about, use your ears and think of the sounds, the notes arent that important, its just way to bridge between chords. Its good that he DOESNT slowdown because else you would be just copying, thats not what jazz is about and thats not how you learn it IMO. Also you should recognize those shapes quite easily from the fretting hand instantly if you learned your chords... Also the amount of information here is crazy because its fast so really effective pack, so watch it multiple times. The whole idea of jazz is to use your own chords instead of the chords written simplified imo.
