And maybe if Mick hadn’t had neglected Linda so badly as a result of Katy’s sexual abuse of him, And Mick had just opened up to Linda about his past childhood trauma from the very beginning and communicated with her and worked it through with her as his support instead of pushing her away into Max Branning’s arms. Then maybe Linda wouldn’t have had an affair with Max to begin with. And maybe if Max hadn’t kept on persistently pursuing Linda and left her alone and kept his distance instead of getting in between her and Mick at the very start. Then maybe Mick’s and Linda’s marriage would not have fallen into a downward spiral. Well no it's not. Confronting the abuse and getting justice helped the guy in the end didn't it.
Old wounds sometimes have to open up to truly heal.
And he got a child out of it which he sees as something good after all the abuse he went through. Linda has been struggling with her own demons for a long time.
If Franky hadn't have come back maybe they would have lasted longer for a time scraping by. But there was cracks in their marriage for years. And Mick was always going to carry the shame.
