When picturing a job that could also be a synonym for “tough,” two words have to come to mind: Navy SEALs. These military figures have earned an almost mythical stature due to both larger-than-life media portrayals and the fact that they really do have one of the hardest, most dangerous job on the planet.
But no matter how tough you are, as a soldier, you also need to be punctual as every second count on a mission. So just like Navy SEALs their watches also need to be tough and accurate. They are military-grade, rugged and resistant, able to withstand the harshest conditions, travel across the most unforgiving landscapes, and emerge at the end, unscathed.
In this video, we bring you a list of the best Navy SEALs watches that can help you conquer all your missions on time. These watches are all designed to be nearly indestructible, much like the military members for whom they’re built.
If a member of this elite military team vouches for a piece of equipment or is shown to use one in real life, people take notice.
Check out 5 Best tactical watches and military watches for Navy Seals under $1000, $500, $100 recommended by military experts that meet your reasonable expectations.

10 year British veteran, multiple tours and training, light role/air assault/counter insurgency/mechanised etc, Arctic, Desert, African SC. My go-to watch on operations and during HD training was a Citizen Promaster AY 5000. Bullet proof, never let me down once. Had a British Issue CWC G10 NATO for in camp use (lighter), and used an early incarnation of the Suunto Vector for fitness. Happy with all of them.

I was a US Special Forces officer in Vietnam in the late 1960’s and mostly wore Seiko water resistant watches - they were rugged, durable and fairly accurate. Later when in the reserve USSF, I wore Casio G Shock, for the same qualities, especially since they were cheap and expendable.

Tough Solar basically means FOREVER battery and Atomic clock which "self-corrects' FIVE times DAILY after midnight ON THE SECOND accuracy. How do I know? More than ten years of wearing the same CASIO and hasn't' let me down once. It doesn't get any better than this. Try that with your fancy "Rolex." Try this neat trick: if you have a Casio with Atomic clock check your cell phone. The 2nd hand will PASS on the SAME TIME as soon as a new minute is displayed. Crazy accurate beyond belief.

Sorry, I'll stick to my Rolex. I've had 3 and still have 2. Always puts a smile on my face when I look at it. When I travel to another time zone, I donr need 25 push button steps to resent the atomic time zone. Just pull the crown out a click and turn to move up or back and done. Same with daylight savings time to standard time. Pull out the crown and turn forward or back and done. No need to reset to some atomic time with 25 push button steps.

Is the OTS a good one? One clip a man had the OTS on and that's the $20 knock off version of the Suunto Core. I actually own both so I didn't know if the OTS was put into the video by accident. It looks just like the Suunto but as I stated earlier, it's the knock off. It is shown around the time you were talking about the compass feature on the Suunto.

I have many GShocks and a few Luminoxes. I would say the Gs are more rugged but the major advantage of the Luminox is you can see it in the dark without pushing any buttons. If you are a soldier I would think that is a major advantage as you can read it while holding a rifle and not have to take your hands off the gun to push a button to read the watch time. Same if you are a trucker or anything at night. If I had to get rid of my entire collection and keep one watch it would be my Luminox Sea Turtle.

The military is not likely to accept any watch that broadcasts a detectable electronic signal, which rules out any watch that communicates with a cell phone, which rules out the Garmin Tactix Delta. Some units might also reject watches that are reflective or glow, which might rule out the Luminox Navy SEAL. I've seen it stated elsewhere that the Casio G-Shock DW9052 is the standard watch issued at the Navy Diving and Salvage Training Center in Panama City, Florida.

@@itsallrobbish okay makes sense for actual training, They dont want you to have any infair advantage over your peers, but i mean actual deployment? I ended up buying these and i was specificaly concerned with satelitte being able to give away my position, i am no expert so i asked garmin helpchat and they said the way gps devices work is they catch the signal from the GPS or other satelites and then calculate their position based on what signal they receive, not even satelite knows where the GPS device is, now off course, GPS itself keeps a log of places and should it be captured, adversaries could easily see where have you been, but this log is disabled in "Stealth Mode" so even if someone captured your GPS device he would have no clue where you have been on stealth mode, Device can also be "Kill switched" to factory settings though i dont know whether or not a skilled lab could retrieve that info. However having a Map and a compass on a watch that works independently from your cellphone and not tied to amy google services is an absolute godsend in my opinion, something like this would be a science fiction 10 years ago, this is a litteral james bond watch. I would definitly take this over my phone in deployment any day. Bought it second hand for 500 bucks, value is absolutely insane for the money. as an added bonus, clock is satelite adjusted, litterally the most precise time piece money can buy.

If you want a watch that is unlikely to get scratched on the face, you need one that has a sapphire crystal lens... The GG1000 has a mineral glass lens. Upgrade to the GWG1000 or the GWG2000. Of course, you'll be spending twice as much or more...

Just my impression, but most of the tactical watches are much too "busy" for a combat person.

Watch can work independently, doesnt need to be paired with ohone at all and can be used in stealth mode so it doesnt save its GPS position but knowing the military, i dont think they will take that chance. Especially not for units operating behind enemy lines.
