  • this Pioneer sa 8500 is a super nice amplifier, sounds real nice and lot's of punch for your music room, even though it is set for 60wpc, I got 68wpc out of this one with no distortion.
    I am in love with these pioneers, in the 70's when the competition was fears, everyone wanted to be the best....pioneer was no exception...
    Love the sound of this amplifier and I'm sure you would too...
    enjoy my video and PLS subscribe...

    Thanks for your time on this classic amp; I have the MkII version, love it! These mid to late 70's pieces are just built like tanks.

      I love the 80s black look, but these 70's amps just really look the part and yes, they are definitely built to last.

    11:49 Idle current (Bias) instructions, there's a mistake : it should be pots VR3 (L) and VR4 (R) that you're rotating.
    Likewise for the Zero junction point, there's another mistake : it should be pots VR1 (L) and VR2 (R) that you're rotating.
    Basically, Pioneer mixed up the bias and dc zero pots.

    Hi I have SA 7500 amp, function switch on aux seems to drop out and crackle in left speaker , would this be a volume balance potentiometre problem or function switch or anything else ?

  • @per-henrikpersson1884

    Hmmmm.... He checken The DC levels only on one pair of loudspeaker terminal. I guessed The loudspeaker pair A. But How about pair B and A+B???

    • @TrevorsBench
      @TrevorsBench Před rokem +1

      He checked the DC level on both channels and it was 6mV for both
      The last measurement you saw was full power. No need to check the B speaker outputs because it will be exactly the same
