Weather has not met the minimums for me to complete my solo certification this past week, so we are taking a fun trip to rehearse preparatory landings... after the obligatory circuit rounds.
Today, we will start with 3 touch-and-go's, witness a neighboring flight school have an engine failure, restart and glide-in (off camera, in-flight) in circuit.
Departing EHLE circuits (Lelystad) we will simulate an engine failure after takeoff (EFATO) and then fly to Area Flevopolder for low-level work, below the windmills. Here, we will perform simulated preparatory landings.
This concludes with a straight-in to runway 05.
