1951 Massey Harris Pony Tractor

- My son and I were over a friends and saw this tractor. Our friend had just bought it and hadn't run done anything with it yet. My son liked it and said if we bought it he'd get it going. So I ended up buying it and sure enough within an hour David had it going.
Runs good and were in search of some side covers for it if anyone has a set.
Nice little tractor, it is good to see another antique saved from the scrappers. Also it is nice to see another young man learning practical skills.

I just got a 1950 MH Pony. Battery under the seat.
We may have a chance to get one. Is it a good starter tractor. Never owned a tractor before. We only have a small acreage farm (4 acres). It's mostly pasture but we have a decent size garden. Does this tractor have enough horse power to run a bush hog and or a tiller? One we are looking at is a 1951 I think pony but guy told us he thought it was a pacer.
I highly doubt it can run a bush hog or a tiller, but you can put a cultivator, a plow, or a sickle mower, among other things on the back.

No problem. I have seen a few with an actual rear PTO output so maybe you can use it with a tiller. The only reason I was looking at these is because I found one non running for $350 on my local Craigslist, but of course no one ever follows up with me, so I guess it won’t happen. They do indeed look like nice tractors. Take care.
