At the beginning of the year, the term veneer tech has been popularized all over social media. Itâs no surprise celebrities, influencers and now regular people are dabbling in cosmetic dental procedure tiktok and getting influenced to change up their smile. The Hollywood smile has always existed but itâs starting to look strange when everyone shows up to the function with bright teeth looking super uniform, without any flaws. Weâre all gonna end up looking the same! Thanks to beauty standards and people pretending to be dentists online. The Rise and Fall of The Veneer Industry #edvasian - ZĂĄbava

Goodbye BBL era, hello Veneers
Teeth are the new butts! đ
veneers have been with us for a couple of years at this point. Cannot believe how people are still willing to use them after the shark teeth debacle of last year (or was that during 2022)
#BRINGBACKTHEBUTTLIFTS
Why not both
BBL DRIZZY BBL DRIZZAAAYY sorry
Iâm a dental nurse. This trend genuinely scares me. People who get these unlicensed veneers honestly DO NOT UNDERSTAND the damage theyâre potentially doing to their teeth.
A quick bag for these scammersđ°... but potentially life long crippling oral health issues for the individuals đ I feel so bad for anyone tricked.
yep, same, but in training, the other nurses in the practice speak about this aaaaall the time. I am in london, UK. insane!
This all gives me hives. I was looking at some cosmetic dental work and looking at less expensive ways to get it done. And I came to the conclusion going to Korea would be the best bet as it would be high tech and quality but less expensive. [of course making sure to choose a good provider]
Just seeing them is giving me phantom toothaches in the spot I had a root canal & crown placed last year đ tooth pain is the absolute worst, i had ice pack to my jaw 24/7 in the last few weeks before I had it done. And it was just 1 tooth that had a problem.... cannot imagine the agony of something wrong with several teeth at the same time
I saw Bentist talking about âCoke can teethâ where the real teeth where rotting away underneath. đ€ź
veneers scare me so much like you're literally shaving your tooth bone down and placing plastic over it

SO TRUE
To me it seems like really theyâre just guinea pigs :/ I mean adult people can obviously make their own decisions, but a) I doubt that, with celebrities especially, itâs a 100 per cent personal choice without any extrinsic factors involved whatsoever, and b) people seem to think that you can fix everything with money, including botched procedures.

This is so true especially in Kpop. I.N., a member of Stray Kids used to wear braces and became known and loved for it by fans. When it was time for him to remove it, fans were like "Noo you look so cute with your braces" like bruh imagine telling someone to just keeo wearing braces for aesthetic purposes? Even though their teeth doesn't need it anymore. The same thing happened with Seungmin who is from the same group. Some fans sent him hate when he removed his braces đ like what is wrong with y'all???

I got bracers when I was 9 in the 90s because it was trendy and literally every dentist told your parents that the child needs them. I even remember being SAD when I didnât get them at first and only my brother did. Little did I know that the bracers would end up ruining my teeth completely. I am 39 now and have almost 20 crowns with about the same amounts of root canals done since I was 15 - because my teeth werenât professionally cleaned before the bracers were put on and I got decay on literally every single tooth.
Iâd give anything to be able to never have those fucking bracers
Veneers look weird in real life. A family friend I hadn't seen in 10 years showed up with them and I couldn't stop staring. They were very well done, but they were JARRING. There is definitely a bell curve/uncanny valley with teeth. Straight, white smiles are visually pleasing, yes, but when they're TOO uniform and TOO white, its creepy. Like individually each fake tooth looks fine, but when they're all next to each other somehow your brain knows something is wrong. Its hard to put into words, but you'll know it when you see it. I read people talking about it online before and assumed they were jealous or exaggerating - no. It's a real thing. Get braces if you want, whiten your teeth if you want, but avoid fake teeh if you can.
Hey, he looks amazing in pictures though!! đ
I can confirm this too. Someone I work with has veneers and they are weird to look at; you can tell they're fake because they look thicker than normal teeth and have an uncanny look to them.
I think it also feels weirder when you're used to someone's old smile/teeth, and it looks jarringly different. If someone had never met the person, they probably wouldn't consciously notice their teeth at all.
My mom's friend got "Turkey Teeth" and they are a shade of white that doesn't appear in nature... When he smiles and laughs his lips look like they don't know what to do with the bulk in his mouth. It's sad, the guy is in his 40s/50s so I have no idea what could have made him put himself through that...
It depends. A friend of mine has a few, on her front teeth, and they look fine. Maybe theres something also to be said about not having a full set done? The dentist wasn't trying to make her a new set of teeth just make a few veneers that will fit with her other teeth naturally.
Like from Attack On Titan! đđđ Hugeee teeth that look like 100 teeth sometimes lmfao!
As a dentist, âveneer techsâ terrify me. They do so much damage, it can cost x10 more to fix than the original procedure. Please only get dental work done by a licensed dentist!!!

So scary that influencer trends can effect you negatively for the rest of your life. As someone who wants children, navigating social media with my children is one of the things I least look forward to. I hope to raise them to love and accept themselves enough to see through the fake reality that is social media but you never know.
Gurl u dont gotta give then social media when they are children and still growing. You are their parent. Children have survived and flourished for ages without social media, yours could too. Though, yes, that does mean you cannot just give your kids an ipad and will actually have to parent and put effort in to raise them.

âââ@@Pomagranite167I'm not going to give my children social media but they're still going to be exposed to it through friends at school and they still need to be prepared for it when they are older and inevitably have it in some form or another. "Not giving it to them," is not a simple one-and-done solution. It is integrated into our society and whether or not they have a phone or apps doesn't change the fact that they WILL be exposed it.
â@@railynne6697I understand where you're coming from. My comment however isn't about worrying that my kids will have too much screen time, rather that the screen time they do have will inevitably include false realities, unrealistic body expectations and misinformation. Teaching them about filters, set-ups, and the fact that people will just lie online to sell their product or image is just as important as limiting their screentime. That's not something they learn just by watching, it has to be taught.
Itâs really sad that the majority of people see laziness/drug abuse when they see someone with imperfect teeth. Without even considering that it could be mental illness, childhood neglect, side effects of a pregnancy, results from an accident, or an underlying medical condition. People place way too much value on the physical appearance of people and often assume the worst when someone isnât fitting their ableist view of what a healthy person should look like.
Ya sorry. It just means someone is poor. Pregnant women wouldn't have their teeth falling if they took care of their nutrition and that also costs money.
@@DiamondsRexpensive I donât subscribe to that kind of shallow thinking. Also thereâs nothing wrong with being âpoorâ.
@@DiamondsRexpensive That's not how shit works.
Your body can change in many ways when pregnant, even without any deficiencies.
It's normally just your hair falling out, but pregnancy can affect basically all aspects of your body. That has nothing to do with being poor or lazy.
There doesn't have to be a reason either.
Sometimes you're just born with fucked up teeth.
It's easier than you would think to get teeth damaged/knocked out in accidents. All the self-care and good hygiene in the world won't save you from falling face-first off a skateboard like I did as a teenager. [My front teeth are mostly resin now because of that, and I had to have two root canals.]
7:50 when you learn 5k a week wonât pay for all the legal fines youâll be in once the cops find out đđđ
I said this on another video about "Veneer Techs" but my Brother ended up getting a blood infection that caused Endocarditis when he had his wisdom teeth removed simply because he didn't have antibiotics (which is a premeptive thing now). It resulted in almost 2 months in the hospital, 6 months of IV antibotics daily, and a heart valve replacement at the age of 23..... I can't imagine what could happen if there are people who don't actually know what they're doing working in a non-sterile enviroment.
Don't trust random people with your health!
yeah lot of people donât know that you can get heart problems from your teeth, like blood clots from wisdom tooth removal and such. đ°
I suddenly feel like keeping my wisdom teeth now o_o
â@@liljatupsuI don't know why people get their wisdom teeth out. I learnt about this from internet and it took me long timr to realize that people are getting their perfectly healthy wisdom tooth removed. That's not a thing in India. I don't even have wisdom teeth, never got them. I am 29 so I am not getting it but others in my family or in others family have it and that's not a thing. I didn't hear it evdn from celebrities bcz they follow western world a lot but it seems like they aren't following this one. They get teeth removed only when there is cavity or some medical need where teeth staying there will cause more harm.
In 2007-08 my teacher's sister died of mouth cancer and the reason was that when she got her teeth removed , a tiny piece of teeth stayed in the gum and I don't know details but it turned cancerous. She went to a good dentist but still that happened. That's why I learnt at early age the importance of dentists. Unfortunately, when her cancer got detected it was already in 3rd stage and she passed away. She was probably in early to mid 30s.
I got trigeminal neuralgia from a botched root canal procedure. I was in pain for like a year until I got diagnosed and finally got meds, and the pain still comes back every few months. They were recommended dentists too...
Most people donât have symmetrical faces, but they do have features that tend to complement their existing face so whenever they get something done, it really throws off their whole like facial balance.
Most people don't have symmetrical faces? I don't understand what you mean.
As an orthodontist, "veneer tech" is a new fear unlocked! You only grow enamel once when you develop teeth, every tooth has a nerve in the centre, and gums have bone sitting underneath. Getting your teeth altered in any way by a non-medically trained "tech" risks all of these- please alter them as little as possible if they are healthy!
Aligners or braces with a registered orthodontist are great options to give you a straight smile while keeping the character (and structure) of your own teeth- a great option if you have the access and some patience.
Iâve had braces before but Iâve always had two really stained teeth in the front. I was thinking about getting composite bonding on just those two because itâs an insecurity of mines but Iâm not sure if there are other options. Do you have any recommendations? :)
I had to get veneers due to an injury I go and my front tooth chipped really badly, and I can tell you there are a TON of specialists and offices involved in getting veneers made and placed
They are expensive for a reason, no way one person alone with some "training" could do this without messing up your mouth
Edit: I also got them to match my current color of teeth, I didn't want bleach teeth lol
100% it was a whole process and took several visits for me. I have a health issue that caused me to need a few porcelain caps to prevent further damage. I can't imagine going to someone's house!
I have them too, and while they were expensive and painful I am so much happier with my smile now. I should mention I went with a more natural B1 color rather than bleach white that just look fake. No one knows I have veneers unless I tell them. I should also say I already needed 3 crowns on the anterior teeth anyway, so it made sense to get veneers for the rest because it improved the aesthetics. You really should be choosy with your dentist too. B1 looks whiter and more natural than A1 in my opinion, which is still below the super bleached look.
I also have two injured teeth that some people have been saying that veneers is an option. How are those teeth doing now? Are you happy with the result? And how to manage veneer teeth? I'm legit terrified of grinding my teeth down, I would only do it as last resort.
@zebnemma if done properly they could really help. Definitely research your dentist before you do it. :)
@@zebnemma If the teeth are injured, you may have nerve damage. A lot of people don't know this, but you don't need decay to need a root canal.
That said, it's standard practice to put a crown over a root canal.
Veneers should really only be applied to healthy teeth. You do need to remove a millimeter or two of enamel but definitely not as deep as a root canal or crown. My advice is get all your teeth medically healthy first before even considering veneers. No reputable dentist would recommend veneers on any teeth that have caries (cavities) or nerve damage.
They are quite expensive, so make sure you do your research not only on the dentist but also the lab. In my case I intentionally sought a lab that hand made the teeth rather than computer aided design which is more common and a bit cheaper. For me it was worth the extra few thousand to have that extra level of craftsmanship. Computers can do a fine job, but also can come out too perfect looking and not look natural. The added benefit of a hand made lab is you can work with them to get exactly the color and symmetry that fits your face and smile.
Whatever you do, shop around and do your research. Just because one dentist may be more costly, doesn't necessarily mean they produce the best veneers. Familiarize yourself with the materials too, there are a variety of porcelains, EMAX and zirconium for example that have different applications depending on different factors. EMAX tends to be stronger, but zirconium has a bit more translucence like real teeth. A skilled craftsman will blend both to make the teeth indistinguishable from real teeth.
The problem with influencers and stars is they go so far with the whiteness and perfect symmetry that it looks obviously fake. In my opinion it's much better for the teeth to look natural. To accomplish that though you really need to ask the right questions and be willing to shop around. When you are dropping 15-30k on veneers/crowns it's worth the effort.
It can in some cases be quite painful. When you are working on say a full smile of 8 teeth at once, when they are exposed and being imaged for the final veneers they can be very sensitive to cold, air and pressure. I would say imaging a full half upper set is 2 to 3x more painful than a single root canal.
I am VERY happy with my end result and get compliments all the time. They look, feel and chew like normal teeth. Of course, with such a big investment you do need to keep your oral hygiene up and never miss a day of brushing or flossing. Cavities can form beneath the crowns or veneers which can cause them to fail early, and may even mean you would need a more invasive treatment than you normally would because you won't actually see the decay on your teeth.
In short, it's not something I would recommend to everyone, but if you are unhappy with your smile and already need some medical intervention anyway, it may make sense to take the opportunity to upgrade your smile.
Hope that helps.
They all look like they have dentures.
Right! Ed said âmouth guards!â Haha đ

But your comment encouraged me to book an appt regardless of the cost, while my teeth are still attached to me. Thank you đ
I have a similar story: finally going to the dentist after a few years due to cost/severe anxiety, got the big full jaw x-ray done so they could see everything and there was an abscess. I personally get freaked out when I see unnaturally white teeth, the kind that kinda glows bc they get shined like once a month. I dunno it just looks weird but better than looking at very rotted teeth.
Fun Teeth Fact: Black tea stains more than coffee does!!
as someone with horrible teeth thanks to the lack of dental coverage in my insurance (medicare), getting veneers is a dream for me and i get why people would want to get them at a cheap price. but also these people preying on desperate people is disgusting.
I know it sounds weird but I have always loved uniquely shaped teeth. I think it adds just so much personality to a person! Itâs just cute to me and it makes me sad that so many people are ruining their uniqueness
i agree i love the uniqueness of peoples natural teeth đ
I agree, the bright white, unnaturally square, totally even teeth are really creepy and jarring. Veneers be looking like tic tacs or chiclet gum đ
I've read somewhere that the teeth bite mark is as unique as fingerprints đ
This also makes me think of how sad it is to me personally of how beauty standards are becoming so uniform. I remember growing up in a culture where crooked and pointy teeth (if healthy and taken care of) was considered cute, youthful, and overall something to love about your looks but now itâs the same as just âhave a uniform, straight, white smile and nothing elseâ
I still love crooked teeth and smiles, it makes me so sad how many are being lostâŠ
@@Unhappytimeaper agree, I'm wearing braces but also getting double jaw surgery this year. I'm trying to get my teeth to become more healthy and l'm paying a lot of money to save them from falling out (because of my crooked bite). It genuenly makes me mad when people replace their perfectly healtny teeth with veneers on porpouse only thinking about the looks not considering how it will affect their health in a long run...
I've never had veneers but when I was 16 I could die because my tooth was inflamed. It started to hurt on Friday and I was like "maybe they don't work in weekend", then on Monday it didn't hurt too bad and I went to school. When I came to dentist on Tuesday they scanned and said there is inflammation near my eye already (and it was down tooth!) and in 1-2 days it could be near my brain and I can die.
So dear people, go to licenced dentists, it's not a joke. I doubt all these veneer "techs" have proper equipment and sterile instruments.
Keep your real teeth for as long as you can! Due to a trampoline incident as a kid my adult front tooth was knocked out. The fake one kept falling out over the years until they had to drill a pin into my skull to keep it in place for the crown at 18. One of my biggest fears is now getting some injury to my face and the pin ripping through my skin. Fake teeth break so easily, real teeth are so much better!
Real is always better than fake in all aspects
I stan seventeen but the veneers are killing us đ they had such sweet smiles before
I have to get a tooth replaced because your teeth collapse inward if you don't and you had it yanked. This is still labeled as cosmetic despite being literally part of oral health because it messes up the rest of your teeth. Teeth are expensive.
Collapse if you donât wha??? Iâm confused tell me how avoid losing my teeth đđđ
Oh nvm I get it now lololol I was panicking đ
â@@jjay107 yeah no that was worded so strange đ
I went to school with a girl who had braces through middle school to correct her teeth back in the late 90s and early 2000s. They werenât bad or super crooked, just needed a wee bit of an alignment to help her jaw issues.
I remember when she got them off in high school. Considering how much pain and aggravation she went through the years prior with her braces ⊠itâs no wonder she was always meticulous about her smile. She had gotten âbest smileâ for our class yearbook when we graduated.
Fast forward some odd years and I see her on social media. I hadnât seen her in person in probably close to a decade, but something looked off and I couldnât put my finger on what it was until I went through an old photo album, saw photos of us together, and noticed her smile was very different.
It was ⊠big - like not _extra_ teeth big, but bigger sized teeth as a whole. They were all so straight and uniform. Super duper white, too. Her smile was completely different.
During the tail end of the pandemic, I see a post from her about how she had gotten veneers and was having issues with them. One had âpoppedâ off in the back, and she posted a picture showing the small stubby tooth that the veneer was over and mentioned having jaw pain that she hadnât experienced since she was younger.
Iâm not a dentist, obviously, and I can be unsure of this, but if someone has braces they will often need to wear a retainer when they sleep, right?
I ask, because she mentioned in her post about getting veneers and hoping that sheâd never have to worry about ever needing braces or retainers again.
The way she worded it, it just seemed like she got veneers to do away with those troubles ⊠but instead it brought on more. All those teeth she spent time realigning and wearing braces over now stubs with fake teeth over them that look extremely unnatural and blinding.
Itâs sad, really. She had a beautiful smile that really was unique with the shape of her teeth, but now it looks like every other influencerâs smile.
Every time I see the topic of these veneers brought up, I always think of her, and it then has me wondering how many people out there have ruined their perfectly fine natural teeth to get these things put on for a certain aesthetic without thinking long-term âŠ
I know someone who wants to get it done. She will be travelling to Turkey for it. I only talk to her casually so it's hard for me to say she should think about it carefully. She seems to think it's worth it, although there is nothing wrong with her teeth now.
Retainer is no trouble at all, you will get used to it wearing it sleeping at night. And follow your orthodontist instruction your teeth will be fine after braces, those who are lazy to wear to retainer will have to do 2nd round braces. I got my braces at age 30, still the same straight teeth at 37. đ
As someone with some ugly teeth and has been bullied for them, this both scares and saddens me. Would I like to have aesthetically pleasing teeth? Absolutely! But as it is, checkups and cleanings are already expensive as heck, any cosmetic procedures already feel unattainable. The fact that there are chop shops for such things... i have no words.
Your mouth, and all of it's inner workings are so close to both your heart and brain that anything going wrong is a quick recipe for disaster.
Ignorance is bliss i suppose đŹ
Yea I would leave that alone. I find it wild how much ppl are willing to change things that they shouldnât about their appearance. Weâre all unique and made in Godâs image! Donât take those rude ppls opinions personally. They need to mind their God-Given business!
Honestly, most people would be good with cutting out drinks/foods that stain their teeth, upping their brushing routine and getting some whitening strips.
Seems like maybe about 5% of the people who are getting or have gotten veneers at this point, actually needed or benefited from doing so.
It's funny in a sad way that so many people even forego a professional consultation, when it could save them so much trouble in the future.
My family is a good example of how you can solve problems with other measures.
My mom has needed extra coating on her teeth because of self-inflicted damage to her enamel, due to brushing too hard. She also has a crown due to chipping.
My cousin needed braces because he had twin teeth.
My brothers got the choice to wear preemptive retainers, or end up needing braces. One wore the retainers, and has perfectly straight teeth. The other one didn't, and now has to wear braces. Their main problem was still that they didn't brush properly, and their teeth look so much better after improving that as well.
All of them have normal looking teeth now, and for my brother it could've cost significantly less if he had just worn his stupid retainer lmao!
Yay, a Junes Journey sponsorship! I did my apprenticeship at Wooga and the Junes Journey team was full of nice people! Didn't work on the game directly, but I still had a great time. If you like this type of game, show them some love!
This makes me so glad I got actual dental work done. It took much longer, but I know that I was treated by people who actually know what they're doing.
'Veneer techs' are the new 'lash techs'đ I'm crying
Veneers make me sad. It's like a physical manifestation of the person's soul dying.
Iâm not sure thatâs a very nice thing to say when you consider there are people out there who have no choice but to have veneers. My mom being one of them.
Having bad teeth can ruin your self-esteem and absolutely changes the way people treat you.
What makes me sad is seeing someone stop themselves from genuinely being happy and enjoying the moment out of fear that someone might see their teeth.
I know your comment comes from a good place, I just hope you can consider the angle Iâve presented you as well.
ââ@@NatLaS they aren't talking about people who had no choice but to get veneers. They're talking about people who have perfectly fine, natural, normal healthy teeth, that get those healthy teeth shaved down permanently just for a passing beauty trend. THAT is the issue and it is incredibly scary to see people become so vapid.
I was genetically missing adult incisors and was exploring options and was given the option for veneers or the possibility of implants. I never wanted veneers since they just donât seem like a good permanent option. Although I had to get braces to move teeth around and get bone grafting to get implants I was 100% set on doing so and glad I did. Something about shaving down or bridging and just slapping some curb appeal on the mouth versus a functional tooth is not the same
Bone grafting sounds so metal, do you know where they take the bone from?
@@helplessheroine2641 sometimes itâs cadaver bone which certainly sounds like something a necromancer dentist would come up with đ

Lived with messed up teeth for 20 years after I tripped and smashed my front teeth. Eventually got an abscess that gave me headaches so I ended up needing 4 crowns since the root canals made my teeth super discolored along with them being broken. The 4 crowns took about 6 hours to get with all the care the dentist took to make them look natural. Whole process was over 8k for 4 teeth. Dentist even gave me free bleaching and invisaline because my smile was so ugly he felt bad for me. So probably over 10k if I had to pay for that. I cant imagine doing my entire mouth in an afternoon in someone's kitchen for 4k. That price alone would scare me off.
The veneer trend is crazy. I grew up wanting to get braces to fix my front teeth. When I got them, I was so happy. Now, the pressure is to have a "perfect" smile. I feel like a generation won't appreciate what makes us unique anymore.
Crooked discoloured teeth are the quintessential "haha ur British" joke.
We have statistically better dental health than Americans. Teeth bleaching and veneers are _cosmetics_ not _health_ related.
(Braces are often only for health reasons, such as inability to properly bite down, so those aren't included as "solely cosmetic")
For real ours isnât the best but ffffff white teeth arenât the way to go
I was waiting for a Chip Skylark âMy shiny teeth and meâ moment đ

I have a serious heart defect and therefore I require antibiotic cover before having ANY dental work done for example a scrape and polish!
I could get a heart infection and die!
BUT a lot of people donât know they have heart issues!
THATS SCARY
Me too! I have a congenital cardiopathy and my cardiologist has drilled into me how important oral hygiene is and how linked it is to the heart. I hadn't even thought about those who have heart issues and don't even know it yet...
CHD girlie here! (TOF) I am so grateful for my dentist whose team asks AT LEAST 3 times before even touching my teeth! They donât mess around and youâre right not everyone knows they need it
I lolâd way too hard at the Tom Cruise middle tooth đ
Permanent procedures need to be advertised and talked about with the understanding that "permanent cosmetic procedure" doesn't necessarily mean no maintenance at all. Breast implants, veneers, etc. need to be taken care of well at home and can even be required to get replaced every 10 yrs - not just one-and-done choices here - they can be lifelong commitments.
Last year I got really bad acne on my jaw and cheeks. Before that I had not cared about my teeth, they were just there and are pretty straight but a bit discoloured. But my self-esteem got really bad bc of the acne, and probably because I used a lot of time looking at myself in the mirror, I suddenly started noticing how "brown" my teeth where. I desperately wanted to get them whitened, something I had never thought of before. I went from being confident about my smile, to hating it. Self-esteem and how you view yourself can really fuck up your perspective of yourself.
whoever did joshua's veneers deserves JAIL TIMEE

I have a perfectly straight line of teeth worth at LEAST $8,000 thanks to intense dental care from 1999-present, but they are not blindingly white. They are a tiny bit yellowish, and I have felt peer pressure before to get them bleached. Tbh now I'm happier about my teeth being fairly healthy and natural, rather than them being whiter than copier paper. (The dental care I underwent wasn't primarily cosmetic, it was so my bottom front teeth wouldn't cause extreme and permanent inflammation of my upper gums due to overbite in the future.)
Very smart decision. Blinding white teeth just scream fake and awkward

YOUR HAIR LOOKS AMAZING
When you sped through the "required" procedures and stated "buccal fat removal", I heard "butthole fat removal" and now I have some googling to do.
I used to work on dentistry books and journals and I have learned throughout that teeth impact our health more than we ever know.

I also saw a reel about how dentists have this insurance they pay periodically that essentially protects and pays out the patient in the case of malpractice, which veneer 'techs' don't have and aren't lawfully mandated to do???
No insurance company is going to cover for these techs anyway. They're nothing more than a walking liability.
"veneer tech" isn't a lawful profession to begin with. these certificates are fake, it's all a scam.
I have a lot of crowns in my mouth due to a bunch of root canals i had done and i wish i had my whole teeth back so bad. It's so crazy to me that people would shave down all of their teeth on purpose
You need to be able to properly floss veneers or gunk will build up underneath and ruin the underlying real tooth. This is so scary ahhh

People should be grateful that they even have teeth. Some don't.
I'm not a dentist but i have had extensive orthodontics work done. I went every 6 weeks from age 5 - 15. I've had retainers that were literally shoving my palate forward and 4 years of braces and even headgear at one point. And my teeth are STILL not straight and perfectly white. But at least they're healthy and I don't need to get any removed - that should be the goal, not to have perfect plastic teeth. Because of this trend, people are doing their teeth harm in the long run.
hair's looking great-i like it!
I just got home from a night shift and saw you dropped a new video. I would expect nothing less than a whole video about teeth and Iâm living for it

I chipped my front tooth as a kid and get composite done & maintained to fill that shape
It takes a lot of work and communication between me and my dentist to make it happen. Slowly adding composite and curing. Doing things like clenching my teeth, simulating chewing, talking to see if my teeth align well. I cannot imagine an illegally licensed person doing this procedure for someone đ
You look really good with these blush

the whole fact all of illit will be the bane of my existence, why are we chill with letting these companies do irreparable damage to a minors mouth itâs nonsense and why are they only on the top
A lot of kpop stans are either easily influenced kids or adults that don't know or care. A lot of these idols have had irreversible procedures and I genuinely hope we don't stories of how they regret these years of their lives
@ez-zf3ym even if itâs expected that some parents will put their childâs health and wellbeing at risk for fame and fortune that doesnât make it just magically okay to completely alter the physical appearance and medical anatomy of the child. trust i have no sympathy for companies and parents who will go to all lengths to exploit a child i do however have the capacity to wish the best for the child being exploited
@ez-zf3ym it is not victimizing a child it is acknowledging the fact that a child being exploited in any manner is a victim. whatâs your angle here? what are you trying to argue? children deserve to be able to be children and nothing more whether theyâre a 12 year old on a idol producing show or a 12 year old victim in Congo being subjected to literal slavery. this isnât a debatable issue itâs legitimately a fact of the matter that children are children with little child brains and bodyâs. obviously said hypothetical children are going through very different forms of trauma (duh) but any child never ever should be subjected to providing wealth in any means.

The set of teeth next to my front teeth are really tiny, and look like theyâre still baby teeth even though Iâm no longer a kid, but theyâre fully grown. When I switched dentists not too long ago he took a look at my teeth and saw no need for me to have and braces or things like that, but if I wanted to I could get porcelain caps to make those two teeth a normal size. People would often comment on them and I had the idea that they needed to be fixed so I planned on going through with that. But then after a bit I looked in the mirror and realized just how defining they are, and that theyâre a characteristic that I actually like. They look a little funny but theyâre mine and itâs a trait that you can clearly see in every photo I smile in. Plus they look kinda cute. I like how none of my front teeth are the same shape, and I decided not to get caps and Iâm really happy I didnât. straight white teeth are objectively more perfect but Iâve come to really appreciate imperfect teeth.
14:26 I couldn't imagine bullying someone over teeth. Her looks fine, same with the other examples. I wish people stopped reassuring about looks. Natural teeth look better in most cases. This kind of reminded me of Mads Mikkelsen, I think there was an interview and he was asked why won;t he fix his teeth. He said he's not interested. I hope more celebs and influencers go this route, just refuse. Like damn, they are the ones who gotta live with their mouth, veneers usually look weird and seems like they are more trouble than they are worth (even when professionally done).

As a European, this trend seems too drastic. Normal, healthy teeth are bit discoloured. Especially if you drink coffee or tea
as a teen, my canine tooth on the left is slightly crooked, so you're not able to see it from the front but from the side. This is one of the reasons why I was insecure (and still am) insecure of my smile for the longest time. But looking at this makes me wanna embrace my natural teeth and even if I do wanna get it fixed, I'd probably get braces done over these plastic unnatural teeth. Thanks for the video btw
i did NOT suffer through 4 and a half years of university so then people can get a 2 days "course" to do something that's a teeny tiny part of what my whole career is about. a course like that is something you take AFTER you graduate, and most courses take more than only 2 days for sure đ depending on what it is, it takes up to 2 years to become a specialist in something (again, WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE A DEGREE!!!)
