In 1910 he listed in British army to fight in First World War and he was killed in action during battle of arras in 1917 soon after he arrived in France.
Such a sad and moving poem! But it is true that sometimes people would rather embrace the death itself in order to end the huge pain and suffering. We can say death is just another kind of rebellion.
