Enrico- Thanks for another great video tutorial, really helps to wrap my brain around all the SQ can do. I have a video recommendation if it has not yet been done for the SQ. Best practices for subwoofer(s)... Aux, matrix, group. Many thanks.

@@Johnbanthony Cool. I've been using your videos side by side with my board to learn. I've been an analog guy (GL2400) and have been hesitant going digital. I've used digital when helping others and never really had one strike a cord, but slowly developed an appreciation for what digital can do despite the pitfalls. I finally made the choice to find the one... tough to do but researching and trying all the apps for every surface led me to the SQ. Matter of fact my vendor sourced my SQ-6 from JBA.

But doesn't that put the FX on the entire AUX out channel. Everything, bass , guitar, drums, vocals.... have the FX applied, not just the vocals???????
I am using the CQ20, and cannot find any info on the CQ app
The Effect will only be applied to the channels that are sent to the Effect Send. Routing the Effect Return to an Aux is just going to provide that Reverb signal, which in this case of this demo was the vocal channel being routed. If I only route the vocal to that Effect Send, it will be the only channel with reverb in that aux.

It's little bit different if you have split channels for vocals, you have to raise split channel fader.
This was done based on a request I had to only put reverb on a singer’s monitor and not FOH. If you want to do other processing that’s different, using a second channel would be a better option than what I’ve shown here.
Hye.. what u mean split vocal channel ..?? 1 for FOH.. and 1 for Monitor?? Like this ..
@@joefickry yes, you can do this, only gain (preamp) is the same (for more you can use trim). How to do it, one way is to choose same source input in the channel (same input channel as FOH vocal), second way is in routing page.
@@tomazklancnik7760 yeah.. this split i use .. bcause can send effect(rverb) to this using same fx1 to my FOH and MoH with different quantity of my rverb.. 1 for FOH and 1 for MoH.. but now... I cant send my rverb to my MOh.. can but my main can have double effect(rverb).. the effect(rverb) for MOH still out in my FOH... This haappen after i update the laters firmware .. bfore this is work but now with new firmware he cant.. how to fix?? Please help me... please .. 2 years i find the solution to fix it...but still hve problem...

How to add more than one effect to one single channel?
Go Into the Routing for that channel and adjust the FX Send for each effect that you want to add. If you want an effect just on a single channel, you also have the option to use it as an insert. Using it on an Effect send, you can adjust how much of that effect goes into each aux and the Main LR. If you use an insert for an effect, it becomes part of the channel strip and will be heard across the Main LR and all Auxes/Matrixes.

@@Johnbanthonyhii soryy.. based on u explaination.. im try to assign the Monitor VOx..only route to monitor only..the routing to the Main LR turn off..so i want to send the effects 1 only to the stage monitor.. the effects sound so good.. but when i turn on my main LR or rise up the master fader... The sound effect heard at the FOH speaker.. heheh why arr??
@@joefickry On the Routing Page for the appropriate Effects Return, do you have the Main LR turned off?

This is Allen and Heath’s SQ Mix Pad software. It’s a free download on their site. You can program the console without being connected or use it to control your console live

What if you want to send the reverb as normal to foh as well as have a different reverb send for wedges.. would this video apply as well?
@@Donovanleonphotography Yea, this video would apply and then you’ll need to use a second effects slot to setup the reverb you want to use for foh.
@@Johnbanthony hye... How send to rverb fx1 to my monitor using same rverb fx1 on the mainLR??? Bcause my slot fx is full . So the artist want to send the rverb to the stage monitor Aux1... So i just want to sent my fx1 the my main rverb to sent it too my aux using sme fx1..??? Im try but the my main have smething wrong whereby the fx1 is double...heheheh
@@joefickry Hey Joe, we're not sure what would be causing the revert doubling without seeing your routing. Make sure your FX sends and returns aren’t routed to any groups or matrixes. IF that doesn’t solve the issue, contact Allen and Heath support, as there’s nothing we can think of that would cause an effect to double.
