Glad you mention about the stealth, have a Bloodied Commando build with max stealth perks and the last few weeks enemies just see me and you see the messege caution and they walk right to me, a few weeks ago i could literally stand near an enemy and still was hidden.
Love me the lever action. Just a great performer for any rifleman build. Decent number of skins too.
The lever action is my favourite for rifleman builds, it’s a perfect allrounder. I liked the Western Spirit and used it a lot after I first got it. Just wish we could re-roll it like the new named legendary weapons we got with the last update.
Dude I’m here for it. A bloodied explo western spirit would instantly be my go-to. Two shots doesn’t sound like a lot but it makes a difference when you only have 5 lol.
My full health stealth commando has an instigating one, with no rifleman cards just tank killer and stealth/crit perks, and I still use it for killing Blood Eagles, scorched n' ghouls, usually one shotting them with a head shot. I can even use it for West Tek unless I'm getting swarmed in a tight space so great for when I want to get ammo back or just fancy a change of pace. I, too, have noticed my stealth sucking a bit lately, even on my archer.

I've always had a soft spot for the lever action... I still have my 2 very first good ones... a 2 star TSE and a 3star TSE25lvac
Honestly the secret sauce to these is the fierce receiver, which increases crit damage but also fire rate and reload speed.
I run a BE90 for mobbing and a QE90 for bosses. The ap cost is so low that (at least with an unyielding build) you can dump the whole mag without running out of AP and then recharge on the reload. So you don’t need a 25lvc 3rd star. 15 crit fill is great for full health since you don’t have as much luck without UNY armor, reduced weight because we’re all hoarders, weapon durability, they’re all fair game because you don’t need the ap effect like you do on most commando weps.
I love this gun since I started using it on my alt. It feels almost more like how I wish shotguns felt haha.
Also that extra 45 ammo sells like hotcakes to commando guys.
Best two rifleman weapons you may not have had the pleasure to try:
1) quad ffr plasma/epr and mod it for vats rifleman with sniper barrel. 99 rounds in the magazine pumping out big damage at insane range, still in stealth and decent fire rate. My favourite gun.
2) the ultracite laser rifle with hair trigger capacitor and aligned long barrel. I got a BFFR and it has a fire rate of 93!! At AP cost of 16. So fun in vats just spamming the trigger with maximum accuracy 210 range
Both guns work super well as pistols too...I reckon best in class for dps. Gives commando weapons a run for their money
I love the Lever action on my rifleman, I hope they add the ability to reroll more uniques because the extra rounds in the tube Western Spirit has is such a quality of life
yeah that's one of the antique weops that would not be OP if you re rolled it and kept the antique effect . i hope they let us re roll quite a few named / unique weops
I got a twoshot explosive -25 , i love it, one of my first ever god rolls and i love switching to rifleman to use it from time to time.
Feel like there really isnt alot of good weapons for rifleman perk aside from gauss rifle and the lever action. Comparing to how better automatic variety atleast
I guess you are right. I don't really feel this gun when I use it as I'd expect that from such a cool one. Not a big difference with The Fixer for instance. Though as @Mr3ppozz mentioned I also keep the best ones of them in my stash :)
i like playing rifleman and sneak as well, but i dont really love using vats. what are the best effects to look for on a lever action when you're not concerned with vats as much. i use The Western, but dont know what the best effects to look for are

I have some good versions of those. Quad damage while aiming, for instance. Fun to use.
On the question of why enemies are detecting you: missing "escape artist" card in agility. Mod the armor to ultralight too, armor weight is a factor in fallout 76 when it comes to sneak (u make more noise).
I got a quad version and loading 20 round is so funny
My instigating lever with vats hit chance is more effective than any plasma caster I have tried.
Great video, Just got back into Fallout. Rifles is all I use in game. My question, is where or how do I get my Rifles to Legendary? Probably a dumb question but I'm asking anyway.
Legendary crafting. You buy legendary modules at the Rusty Pick using legendary scrip. Legendary crafting is done at a workbench.

Looks like you didn't have escape artist. I believe that helps with the stealth.
how do you use so little ap in vats?
Where is the best place to get farm these? I need to unlock the mods for it
Farming them is hard because they drop so rarely. Best bet is to get the plan so can craft them to scrap. You can get it from the Responder vendor at the Whitespring for 1500-2000 caps.

I got a bloodied explosive reduced weight lever the other day. Does anyone know how much it is worth or if it’s worth keeping?

Why I see no one using the chinese stealth armor? it makes you invisible and you never get caught... it maximizes the stealth damage
I run it, and it’s fantastic, but not for bloodied builds. Unyielding sets will max out damage and crit, and adding level 3 sneak counters the lack of the stealth suit
Something not working like it use to? That's because they haven't done any real maintenance on 76 in months.
Mine is better just saying does 489 stealth damage two shot expensive with 15 vat increase and lucky 3 and unyilng crit Dosh build
