As a fan of debate bro streamers Crowder actions were such a disappointment. I expected him to at least have the balls to defend his opinions.
Honestly the biggest disappointments here are Crowder fans. One would expect that fans of the guy who reached fame by his “Change my mind” videos would relish in whatever chance Crowder gets to defend his views, but instead of criticizing him for running away they just throw whatever justification they can for his cowardice.
He gives people an opportunity to debate them. He doesn't weasel his way into places unexpectedly for debates. lol

Sam is literally old enough to be Steven's dad. Just wanted to say I support reparations, universal healthcare, and radical overhaul of the education system. You could suggest I lean left; moreover, I find Crowder highly annoying. However, it's cowardly and intellectually dishonest to schedule a debate and then call in a ringer. As a liberal, I find this just embarrassing for Ethan. It's also embarrassing and smacks of desperation for Sam to have agreed to this. This is like kids agreeing to quash a beef on the schoolyard but then 1 of them shows up with his dad and says "here, fight him instead"

It’s just about how you see debates. I prioritize entertainment typically, unless it’s a topic that I’m genuinely interested in or if both debaters are super engaging.

So face reveal was the only option as I think a genuine debate between the two is impossible unless Steven gets so much pressure from his loser fans, he has to do it.

I think what we saw was a media tactic. Crowders spent time at fox and picked up a few things, it was executed poorly (likely because they've never had to do it before) but what you saw was just a drowning out of the other parties, so as to not give them platform while on their platform. If they'd had a debate, or if Steven had let Sam speak, tens of thousands LWC's own fans would go to take in more of his content to see if Sam was legit or had anything heavy to say (like myself) thats just money and followers for Sam, which Steven didn't just want to give him... and I understand that, because why would you want to share your platform with someone who would lie and do something so dishonorable as forcing themselves onto your show for air time. It's just.. the oiliest kind of slimy.

Then when Sam showed his face, Crowder's screen panned to one of his little sidekicks for like 5 mins. He even posted some compilation of lefty's reactions to some shit, which originally included Sam, but he took it down and reposted it - specifically with Sam's part edited out; so Crowder and his team are CLEARLY aware of Sam and deliberately avoiding him. And Crowder fucking admitted that he knows when "this nobody" Sam, is streaming, yet he's too much of a coward to actually debate him [even though he has NO problem debating nobody college kids with 0 subs; but apparently 1mil subs isn't enough for Sam].
