- Horizon Forbidden West is a deeply involving experience, full of imposing machines, warring tribes, and a ton of lore to uncover. It is also an astounding technical achievement, with an attention to detail across its gameplay, character, and visuals that had us shaking our heads in awe. We had a lot to choose from, but here are our 26 favorite amazing little details in Horizon Forbidden West.

Aloy's butt is now jucier.
The butterflies that hover near some pickable plants will fly away if you pick it.
when you zoom in you can see insane details on the skin, like pours and folds
It took me until yesterday to notice, but when you walk on grass Aloy actually flattens it!

Sometimes if you must talk with a character after a sidequest and you keep them waiting because you're looting the machines you just killed, Aloy will apologize for keeping them waiting!!!
or them getting annoyed or mad at you for stalling
Aloy will make remarks on special enemy states, like: "What's a Fanghorn without horns?", if you happen to meet a fanghorn with its horns shot off.
Took me a few days to finish HFW , awesome game , I’m just waiting for NG+ now wanna play it again with all my weapons and armor
It's a Easy Platinum.
It'll keep you busy for awhile too.
a few days? A week was barely enough for me to do half of this before elden ring got released

You missed the way that sand interactions work. I've spent hours walking round the desert marvelling at how detailed that is.
It just behaves like snow. Love this game,but tbh the sand physics in AC Origins was better.

After you complete the main story, people you interact with will mention what happened or what they heard
This game is absolutely amazing. Tops part one in every regard. Which was one of my all time favourites to begin with. Cant wait for dlc.

This game perfected the art of open-world!! Its like a combination of the best of AssassinCreed, TombRaider, RDR2, and many other open-world game). 👏 👏 11/10 for sure.
I've read this 3 times and I'm still not sure what that first sentence actually means.
Im soo addicted to this game. Enjoying it soo much. Went for Very Hard and Exolorer and im having a blast.
If you swim through a school of fish they will be disrupted and started individually swimming around you.
And there's way more to discover! What an awesome game
Actually in HZD Aloy would make comments and gestures about the cold. She would rub her arms and whatnot.
If only they added a bit more detail that if you wear something for the cold it won’t bother her

They took their time with this game and it shows.
When Aloy gets gets with electricity, she actually sounds like she’s getting electrocuted!
not saying you should have given this game a 10, but if this is a 9 elden ring is a 7

Quite a few of these were details frome the first game.
Aloy and some other NPCs begin to sweat, when they are in the desert or jungle. You can see little sweatdrops shimmering on their skin.
There are very little fine hairs on the skin of Aloys, you can see them in some cutscenes with the right camera and lighting angle.
Legendary game !

Sounds like they came close to a RDR2 level of detail...
Which is extremely impressive!
The textures are better than in red dead redemption 2
But they have to take care of the effects and interaction features with nature and people more existed and real

for me its the reflection of her eyes.
Did you notice that there's a bug where the thunderjaw, bellowback among others doesn't have the antenna component? it was supposed to be another weak point of the machine, it even appears in the diary but the machine doesn't have

You don’t unlock the shield glide straight away.
Cause Rapelling Is More Faster

Guerrilla has to release a neat and dedicated graphics patch that fixes all lacks and errors in the effects and other many things, and later a patch that treats the interaction issues with environment and people.

Performance mode is blurry though
Blurry, no. Lower res? Yes. I've tried both many times. Prefer performance every time. Even tweeked every setting in the tv and PS to try to mimic the high frame rates and keep the 4k, but it fell short.

Seeing Aloy again is already amazing, hope Guirilla would work on the melee more coz the melee on this game is Witcher 3 level.😆 not to mention clunky at some point.

Huh.. you can go any place in the distance in Elden Ring too. And you get rewarded with soemthing new and interesting just about everytime. I'm playing both and they are both phenomenal. They keep getting compared but they are extremely different. Elden Ring is more like Breath of the Wild and Horizon is more like Witcher 3/Assasins Creed.

Most of these are honestly bad "little details" and some of them are just simple things you can see on your screen 99% of the time.

Horizon forbi... what? Is it an Elden Ring DLC? Is it eaten? Is it to wipe your butt or what?
No, Horizon looks fantastic, has great voice acting and performance capture, includes a story that doesn't require reading wikis and watching CZcams videos to piece together, doesn't make you write down your own quest log, features a UI that isn't two generations outdated, and the frame rate is stable in both modes; that's how you know it isn't a janky From Software game.

Loving how elden fans are crying their eyes out. Sorry just had to say it. The two games are very different but if you want to compare graphics you cant say elden really stand a chance to horizon. Yeah even the first one from 2017.

if it was a guy instead of a girl this would be the best game ever
a shame the main character never shuts up, she is always monologing to no one, and cant have 5 minutes of peace without a really needed silence, Link in BOTW is practically a mute guy, and its a lot more enjoyable, is like, man give us an option to make her shut up for once, but aside from that it is not a bad game xD
