day 8167 :- People still dont know the difference between drift and powersilde
It's more like a J turn, not even a power slide.
Smh
Drift and powerslides are pretty similar. I think you mean drifts and skids.
@@HamzaFaruqui from what I learnt from Initial D a drift would have a period of intial understeer followed by an oversteer as you exit the corner....a power slide is kinda when you lose the back-end grip of the car
@@kaustuvmullick5660 A powerslide IS a "power" slide..
"Don't give us enthusiasts a bad name" - Most important part of the tutorial. Plenty of large empty spaces that aren't public roads are available to do this sort of stuff in.

Drift is only in their name
They just blabber on and add bollywood VFx. Their videos are 5 mins worth of information put into 15 min video.
@Cherian Philip
Coz Sagar Sheldekar was there
They lost the charm wat they had back then, now they are the slowest to all the reviews, they know how to add magic into their content but not give us the actual content how they use to before!
This is the type of auto content we desevre not just the lame boring reviews.. Kudos to the evo india team of making video on such an exciting and fun topic.. we all have that fun enthusiast in us who wants to do all this drift, wheelie etc but unable to do so bcoz of lack of proper knowledge.. thanks again evo inda for keeping that enthusiast alive in us!! :)

Jokes aside, love what you guys are doing please make one on Heel and Toe😁
Step 1: buy a Eg6 and then learn to do left foot braking and do dabalo Crash!!!
Step 0: Have a father like bunta who won't whoop your ass even if you blow up your engine while racing in another city.

Finally! Great work sir, looking forward for more tutorials like these and some BTS and tracking tutorials.
One of the best tutorials for drifting. Got all the basis covered. Loved it. We want more of the driving techniques! Great job Evo India 👍
Pls do a video for manual cars too. What to do with the clutch?
use it whenever you think the engine will stall.
Normally with fwd cars, using the throttle will end the drift. So when sliding, use the clutch to prevent the engine from shutting off
They way they used a casual Indian car makes this tutorial applicable to most other cars in India
Super good video... practical one for India and thankyou for some super duper tips for Autocross preparations... eg... vision, braking etc
I am 100% obsessed with drifting/sliding my Diesel Altroz using handbrake in shopping mall parking lots, as they have a nice slippery smooth surface, I know it's really fun even if its not an actual drift 😍
Best video till date on CZcams to learn drifting. Thank you @evoindia. Recommended to all. 👍👌

Thank you so much for this tutorial. Nicely explained
Awesome!
Detailed explanation !
I don't intend to try drifting wih my car but wanted to try out on Forza car simulator game to start with.
Once l get hold of all the ingredients and put them together to get a drift without banging on a game track,l might get myself to try out on real cars and real tracks. I do have a Go Cart track very close to my place.
A lot of theory goes into completing a drift and hopefully l get everything into my subconscious mind to complete a drift successfully in the coming days.
Thanks a lot for sharing this wonderful video !🙂

Very informative and pulsating! Are you lowering your seat belts to bring the centre of gravity down or to get a good posture so as operate the handbrake and the steering? Or else what is the demerit of a high seat??

Great video.. shouldn’t the approach into a turn also be considered? Coming in wide or along the inside corner.. just curious!
Good point! Best way is to keep to the inside so the space on the outside can be used to drift out into

Question: does handbrake only hold the back wheel?
I was assuming that hand brake will hold all the wheels
Yes, handbrakes are for the rear wheels. The front brake, however, brakes all the wheels with brake biases according to the manufacturers.
Generally it's 60:40
@@wolfpriest6954 thanks for explaining
does a smoother and longer drifts need a more powerful car with soft tires ?

@@evoIndia i need your evo india stickers for my car 🙏where to buy
such an amazing video!
Only comment I'd add from my experience of power sliding a FWD is - when you start sliding, don't lift your right foot off the pedal all the way - it will make it look like the car power slides into a stop, and then starts going straight again. But if you have the throttle going while you slide, it will look more like drifting an RWD. It will be a bit more tricky to control the nose of the car, you need a bit of reverse locking of the steering too.
If the front wheels are spinning while you are sliding, it gives that drift feel.
True, a little throttle will make it one smooth motion from start to exit
Most underrated channel. Your channel should get more reach bro.. excellent work with video and your presentation 👏.
@11:17 my reaction when someone asks did you learn to Drift in 15 minutes..

What is the amount of acceleration when we apply hand barakes
I wish you guys had more space like a race track to drift on which would provide longer drifts
So do we wish for more race tracks

for turn you don't have to drift. There is enough space. Go a bit left and make the turn.
What is the best camber angle for drifting?
Where can I get such track in Delhi NCR/Noida and what would be the process @evo?

i20 is a beast
IT IS!
Can we do this drift in Tata Altroz because it has 3 cylinder and I don't think that power is not enough for drifting.
When we pull the handbrake then we need to press the clutch or not?
Very good demonstration 🔥🔥
🙏
Thank you ❤️
You just increasing the tyres business ...
😂
Or instead, giving it early retirement 😂
Late to see but after that just goosebumps 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Is there a chance of toppling? I want to try this trick on the 2011 Santro Xing
Amateurs lol.
To do it smoothly, you need a manual or at least an AMT to downshift at the end of slide to power out of it.
Instead of yanking the handbrake, you should be better off showing scandinavian flicks with throttle liftoff.
Spamming the handbrake will wear out your cable faster.
Also, Using throttle when sliding will end your slide and straighten your.
bruh can you make a video sharing ur experience please i also think it would ruin my car's handbrake
Great content 👍
Thank you Evo India ♥️
P.S. - I'm curious, is this a 'Hyundai only' channel now? Cause I rarely see any other brands on this channel recently.

Can we do these with a creta? and not expect it to topple?

Yes you can. You need to turn off those things to slide.

Thanks for watching!
Gosh! This was amazing. I have a 2nd Gen Honda City dolphin model. FWD. Do you think we could do such drifts in FWD sedans given they are a big longer than hatchbacks and hence have a different CoG? Also, I find the handbrake to be a lighter side where it doesn’t look like it would lock the rear wheels. Sure, that meant, as you noted in the video, I’ll have to use the brake pedal as well.
Amazing review as always. You’ve always taught us about all these super wild stuffs which otherwise are never recommended by other popular CZcams channel. Why? It’s so much fun - of course on a closed circuit streets.
And for some reason, I’ve been following you, Sirish, for such a long time on Overdrive that I had always equated Sirish with Overdrive. Like I used to get Overdrive magazines back in 2006 where I’d read your articles. I wish I could find archive of all those articles back in those days.
Hey Sirish sir! I am Rishaabh Jaggi from Pathways World School Aravali, it will be a pleasure to have you here with us today! 😌

You can't really drift a front wheel car!

@@sirishch I stopped watching immediately after seeing the car. Thanks to you I watched it completely.😀😀
Well...it's very hard but you can get it to oversteer depending on the tires and car. There are FF cars that like to rotate. Lift off oversteer is also a thing in FF cars. But yeah, the word "drift" is just not suitable here.

Hi Sireesh. I was thinking of picking up a used first gen Figo/fiesta because I heard it drives really well. I researched on the service and maintenance aspects but I haven't driven them yet. What's your opinion on those cars? Does they steer and handle well? I am looking for ones with 1.4 diesel engine.
They are fun to drive!
