John, you passed by this house... Chiune Sugihara (杉原 千畝, Sugihara Chiune, 1 January 1900 - 31 July 1986) was a Japanese diplomat who served as vice-consul for the Japanese Empire in Kaunas, Lithuania. During the Second World War, Sugihara helped about 6,000 Jews flee Europe by issuing transit visas to them so that they could travel through Japanese territory, risking his job and the lives of his family. Chiune Sugihara was born on 1 January 1900 (Meiji 33), in Mino. Wikipedia

Never tire of Edo period architecture. The look of all that timber gives the buildings so much character. Feels like you're stepping back in time.
But yes, would agree that the asphalt roads do take away some part of that period feel. Still, a beautiful place just the same.

Great video, but why do you promote driving a car? There are 2 train stations there but still, you promote to have a car driving through the town? the distances in walking aren't much at all. Americans love to drive everywhere. But the world needs to walk more, to take trains more. they are environment friendly. not the cars.
