she graduted in college major in biology..her father was the one who taught her how to sing since she was a kid and when she was in her high school years she almost gave up singing because of the polyps in her throat but she tried to find her own style without hitting super high note..her mother tongue is visayan and then 2nd is tagalog and 3rd is english..FYI: most filipino (especially amateur singers) cannot afford to have vocal coaches because of poverty that's why they train their voices through singing in videoke, in their houses, schools or anywhere they feel to sing..since its part of our culture to sing as a past time and family bonding..

Im not really into KZ's style of singing but I do love her. I like her more during her X Factor days where mostly she's in her softer side. Thank you for noticing her. You obviously is a great fan of Filipino singers. And you had this love and hate relationship with some of their crazy fans. During her guesting, KZ opened up about polyps found in her vocal cords and admitted that she almost gave up singing. She added that this made her realize that belting was not the only way to sing and it led her to discover her present RnB style. "Every failure is just a redirection to where you should be," she said.

your range extension can vary somewhat on lots of factors, maybe drop back on the vocal effects for a short time and keep your chest voice strong

a good experiment is YES change the instrument. Next easy way is also change the KEY. But another more fun and creative way is to deconstruct the structure and rearrange it.

Hua Hua and KZ developed a very good friendship in the show that hinted fans to a relationship but in real life they were supportive to each other and their styles are so similar at mixing rhythms and good at rapping both.

In that audition, KZ Tandingan stated that she started singing as a child but had to stop when she was in her junior year in high school after suffering from a throat problem, that's the reason why she can't sing higher notes (not sure about the term "higher notes") and it led her to experiment, she didn't even know what kind of genre she's creating.

I don't what you to label me as low note or high note but let just say that I am a perfectly balanced mixed voice. Actually whenever you start saying about those high and low note in the beginning about comments, I start skipping honestly, because you know what I'm here to watch you react on something not on comments. This is a constructive criticism not a bash, you should remove those reading comment session, it's actually longers the introduction and by 4 minutes of introduction my excitement already gone and I'll just look for other videos without those LOOOOOOONG boring introductions.
