Making chicken stew and dumplings - another warming and delicious recipe for winter!

What could be more comforting on a cold winter's day than a hot chicken stew? Chicken stew with fluffy delicious dumplings of course! I show you my delicious chicken stew recipe that is rich and hearty and for that extra taste of home I added in some soft fluffy dumplings!
Ingredients
1.5kg chicken pieces, skinned and rinsed
1/4 cup oil
1 medium onion
1 tbs margarine
A handful of fresh thyme
6 cloves garlic
2 green chillies
1 heaped tsp rough salt
A grind of black pepper
6 small potatoes cut in half
3 carrots, sliced
~3/4 cup peas
1 packet thick vegetable soup
1 cup milk
Dhania and Spring onion to garnish
For dumplings
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour, sieved
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
Grind of black pepper
Sprinkle of dried mixed herbs
1 tsp margarine
1 cup milk - use as required to form dough
