      Yes, you are right. All the big boulders with the water running through it does make you feel like you in Yosemite. I do wish more water was flowing though, but I will still take it. It was a good day to be outside. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope you have a great week.

      You are right. What I saw when I got there made me cringe. Girls and guys in bathing suits and flip flops trying to navigate over large boulders that I wouldn't even try to climb over or around was pretty bad. All, so they could take a picture. I actually got uncomfortable watching all the careless and reckless people and had to leave. I didnt want to see someone fall. Anyways, thank you for watching and hoping you are having a great week.

      Thank you Jason. Those rolling hills are real beautiful. I should have gotten out this in spring with all the wild flowers and green grass, but the dry grass still has a beauty to it to. Life Flight never landed, so I am guessing the injury was not to severe and the ground crew was able to help. Thank you watching and hoping you are having a great week.

    awesome adventure, Lance! looks like things are a bit dry over there...same here. i didn't realize you were such a tall fella.
    i saw a bit of work on the sky hue in some of the shots; I know it takes FOREVER, but you'd have some National Geographic going on if you were to carry that through all shots.
    i TOTALLY appreciated the extra steps required to get the walking shots.
    sorry for the late views. i appreciate your content and work in the chair. i do love to see progression of skills with the time in the chair. audio was dead on as usual.
    cheers, pal!! fantastic share!

      Yeap, this was a tough one to color grade. It was really bright and the shots with me in it, I could not get the colors right without making my skin look weird, so I decided not to try and grade those.

  • @adventuringoutdoorswitheric

    Hey Lance! This is a really pretty area with all the rolling hills and the little Yosemite! I noticed that totally changed up your filming and editing style on this one. I liked the way you used still shots in the video. Did you use a tripod to take those still shots?? That was so funny about the cows mooing in other languages 🤣🤣🤣👍. Well I am glad the helicopter was not coming to rescue you 😉. Really nice video brother and thank you so much for sharing.

    • @adventureswithLK
      @adventureswithLK  Před 4 lety +1

      Yes, not my normal style of filming. Almost no moving shots while holding the camera. I use the Manfroto Pixie as my handle for the Canon. It also works as a small tripod. So some of the shots were just place on the ground or rock and others, like when I was around the creek I just held really still. The Canon shots in 4k30, but not 4k60, so I didnt have the ability to use slow mo to help smooth out the rough stuff. Anyways, I am pleased how it turned out, probably more of me then people are used to seeing, but thought it was time to change it up just a bit. Hoping you are having a great week Eric, and thanks for your support.

    • @adventureswithLK
      @adventureswithLK  Před 4 lety +1

      Go early. When I went they were only letting in so many vehicles because of civil. No water crossing unless you go down into the little Yosemite area and hike around the creek.

    What kind of camera do you use? The stabilization is amazing! Great hike, as always!

    • @adventureswithLK
      @adventureswithLK  Před 4 lety +2

      I use only two camera's. Either a Gopro Hero 7 Black or a Canon G7X Mark iii. On this hike I used only the Canon, but didnt film in my typical style. There was not a lot of movement in this video and the camera was either on a small tripod, or I was just holding it as still I as could. The built in stabilization on the G7X is just okay, so if you are moving and trying to vlog or show scenery, you still need to walk like a ninja. Now, the built in stabilization on the Gopro Hero 7 is outstanding and you can be more relaxed with walking and camera movements to achieve stable video. Hoping to see more videos from you soon, and hope all is well.
