Why not a honda K24 motor and turbo it ? Super reliable and proven

I tried to buy a brand new motor and they wont sell me one. I dont understand why they didnt want to take my money. They basically said if i didnt have a motor in my very high end custom aluminum boat then nogo. It currently has a 250hp mercury optimax sportjet and wanted to retrofit this motor in the future, they told the dealer absolutley no and refused to sell the very dealer a motor to sell to me. Thats terrible business prectice.
