I have discovered the same thing. I actually tell myself "don't blow air" when I feel like I'm using too much force or air pressure. Instead of pushing air out, I think of air coming into my body instead of pushing out of it. Resonance happens in the body. It's almost like you're sucking air in instead of blowing it out. There's a term called "inalare la voce" in Italian. It's all about how the air flow adducts the cords in an efficient way instead of forcing air to reach the notes.
I'm trying to exercise to gain more control of my voice do to vocal spasms. This is a technique I hadn't explored yet and I can feel it in the areas you mentioned. Thank you.
This is why playing an instrument is important because he is talking about breathing from the diaphragm which is a must. When you play an instrument, that’s half of your singing lessons right there from note learning, how to position your body, and breathing techniques. My band teacher used to have us sing our music out so that we can play it better, but singers today removed themselves from playing a horn to sound boxes. This is why our singers today are not using their full voices or full potential. It’s sad that teachers do not use horn to help tune and condition the student for harder songs.
Sir I have a humble request that can you give me some tips for my problem My problem is no matter how much I'm practicing at a point it's becoming weird and not being obvious please solve this 🩹🩹
My apologies. Please understand that we have only two coaches responding to hundreds of students who ask multiple, very detailed, questions. It’s very challenging, and occasionally we miss some. Please feel free to respond with your email address ( I won’t publish it publicly), and I’ll have my assistant reach out to you to answer your questions. 🙏🏽
Wow! I've been struggling with this and never realized how simple it actually is to do it the "right" way. Thanks a lot. 🙂
You're welcome 🙌🏽
