@@bobshnitzel2608i love branded, that deck always have different way to play. I hate SHS and mannadium, just like spyrall or halq-auroradon it just boring combo deck and end up with boring same end board (barone, apolo, borreload, and other negate), not even use their own boss monster.
@@stuncb I mean you can look at the chat in this stream, where neither of the branded players in the top 16 even had puppet in the deck. I agree that puppet is the only overly toxic part of the deck, but people hate the rest of it too
@bobshnitzel2608 Is honestly a skill issue if they are using meta deck and lose to Branded. If you're using rogue of course you gonna lose. If it wasn't Branded and any other top meta deck, chat would still be the same. Lab, Kash, Purrely.

Prob Lab because mannadium and despia are expensive ASF and I wouldn't be surprised if branded got hit anytime soon. They refuse to even glance at lab

39:32 it will definitely play differently if branded player waited until crossout-maxx c resolved or atleast until mannadium player activated his maxx c in response to his own crossout to activate his sanctifire (mannadium player will draw less, draw less = less draw out)
+ early banish of meek via mirrorjade.(kudos for not playing puppet).
mannadium, just like scareclaw, cant play if you out their normal summon (different story if they have riumheart/scareclaw kash)
it's a high risk high reward play (we also see that time mannadium player doesn't have riumheart in his hand yet).
that barrone play wont happen and abscission cant activate to destroy sanctifire because of target protection.
he also can't search and activate to banish it for special summon from hand
(if he decides to steal mirrorjade instead, banishment is live, he have so many albaz in grave, he can summon furious or dragostopelia out of it)
(if he decides to draw 2, but his turn will end, just hoping to draw a spell/traps or additional hand traps to stop branded from lethal next turn)
it's crazy how a little misplay (bad choice?/not optimal?) can cost you a duel.
(tbh it's not fair to call a misplay in that situation)

Been playing performapal since 5 years. Its great to see it make the list even on todays meta. before when theres not so many destruction and opponenents main monster cards it was a way to play dark magician and keep banishing the back row stopping their plays and effects. Now im playing it with labyrinth with the dogmatika nadir package and still even against top tier decks i can win out as long as they ran out of back rows. It stops most of their play having to set important cards just to be destroyed it slows them down really good + consistently setting the virus will kill them fast.

Do you think, the trap gamble would help you against MAXX C? You can draw until 5 cards in your hand, but MAXX C make the opponent to 6+ hands normally and that after your hand is empty. We need a competitive gamble deck type to counter MAXX C with gamble trap :)

Super Poly was just luck, because if he didn't have Super Poly, he probably couldn't beat that board. What else could Branded do to outed that board, Super Poly is the only card they can play to break it that doesn't function as a brick. There's Dark Ruler but people gonna complain about that shit too.

@@zufaredris1659 If 80% of your main deck is SHS, your deck is a SHS deck, it doesn't matter what is the endboard; your combo, it's chokepoints, it's starters, what your opponent needs to know, will all be about Superheavy samurai cards.

Pretty boring tournament. Basiclalt comes down to who gets to go first twice and if you drew Maxx C or Droll
Drawing Maxx C and going first has been a thing since forever in Yugioh, get over it. It's boring because Mannadium and SHS are just solitaire deck that spits out 5, 6 negates. And also, Droll is perfectly reasonable counter to Maxx C and Mannadium, just like Ash is reasonable against Branded and Labrynth.
If you're gonna complain, say something new, not the same thing since the beginning of this game.
It'd be interesting to see statistics on how often going first twice leads to a win in these tournaments. I'm pretty sure that while luck is a much bigger deal in this game than other tcgs, better players will still manage wins, regardless of the coin flip, a lot more often than worse ones

Having a deck like SHS & Manadium being able to put out close to 5 overall negates is just plain stupid. It's like a more obnoxious D-Link.
And stop saying 'full power Branded', it's the end of its form with no other support and multiple hits on the deck
Pre patch D-Link can play through disruption better than Mannadium and has more recursion but I do agree SHS is just dumb. The link 1 needs to go asap.
It ain't even full power, Fusion to 1, Opening and Aluber at 2, no Dragoon to set up a negate, they have good grind game and recovery but shouldn't a meta deck have those capabilities? Being fair is apparently broken.
