Will echo William colans comments. This is by far the most clear and helpful vid on pit bike wiring. I spent hours last night testing all my connections and trying to understand the wire configuration. Previous owner had it all hacked. I'm going to scrap it all and buy a kit like you did. Also was the only video that explained the transmission wiring. I was perplexed to see all those loose wires going nowhere. Big thank you.

boom i have spark! thanks! very to the point video. my harness is just one of the fancier ones but the wires are the same exactly! i tried it as you showed with spark then i plugged the key on mine and it has no spark in the off position and spark in the on position. i built this scooter from the ground up so im down to a kick stand so i can get the bike off the bench, running board type foot rests along side the motor, and carry it up the stairs from the basement!

Hey Harvey Its funny that my wife said that we are so much alike ! That we would take any thing that wasn't running and get them running. The difference is that before we left ID I had my own hoard and I had to get rid of them. Unfortunately here is AZ they are all a lot of money so my wife said I am Cured of my illness ........ Funny thing is that I told her that I told her that I am not Cured but, that I am just in Remission ! LOL Just thought that you would get a kick out of it ! Take care and have a great day !

how about a china quad powered golf cart,lol... i see alot of the same questions being asked over and over because people are too lazy to search your videos or all the others here. i deal with those questions in a few facebook groups,and it drives me nuts........ you put alot of time into these videos to help people that you could be doing other things,hopefully some will get some knowledge from it. enjoy the rain/snow tonight ,might stop raining by monday

How much rpm does the engine need to spin for these DC cdis to spark? Or is that only affected by the strength of the trigger pulse

Don't feel bad, I get only about 1/4 of what he knows & what I read. What sucks A$$ for me is that I'm the equivalent of the "shoemaker's daughter", except in this case I'm the (Many, Many) mechanic's daughter. I come from bloodline of mechanics in my family, and nobody will help me because either they're too tired, they're dead, they have kids and have grown out of this, or just don't want to be bothered. So when I go to work on things by myself my father comes outside and asked me what the hell I'm doing cuz he knows I know nothing. I crashed last year to the day, shattered my tib / fib (Got a plate in my leg) so my father says if I ride the bike he's going to crush it with his Kubota tractor. I'm like, WTF⁉️ MY DOCTOR GAVE ME THE CLEARANCE TO RIDE ‼️
I want to fix my bike cuz I know my carb is screwed it's spewing oil and gas and it's all coming out into the air filter. I know if this continues everything's going to get corroded and my bike will be worthless.
How do you feel your capacitor jump start pack would do in place of the on board battery. Yes I'm aware electric start would be a no go but how do you think it would go running lights etc once the bike was running
I have a pit bike I built from the frame up It is a razer frame that’s neon green I put a 125 SSR Pitbike motor but I let it for sit for too long and it would get no spark so hope this helps

Hi I've got 2 sets of wires coming out of motor. I've figured out the spark and cdi... I'm trying to wire in a gear indicator. Have you done anything like that? I cant take my stator cover off to see because I had to weld a nut on so I can drill start my motor. Thanks

I have a pit bike that has a 110cc four stroke in it But at the moment it has a 90cc two-stroke from a quad but has all those extra wiring harness things that needs to be fixed so I’m going to buy a full new harness for the 90cc setup and the 110cc needs new piston head rings.

Could I bug you with this extra yellow wire ? Trying to bring a SYX 70cc 4 stroke China bike back to life for the kids. Changed the stator (6 poll I believe) the new wires coming from motor has 2 yellows ? So I am left with one extra yellow could I just slice them together? ( red,green,blue, 2x yellow ) no lites on this bike. The new wiring kit has all the extra wires for lites so I going to run my own wires but idk what to do with extra yellow ? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Hey David, U did not mention the year of Ur Suzuki.... I have no experience with Suzuki ignition systems, I checked an ATC125 engine that I have and the pit bike ignition does not look compatible with it.... I think U are looking at the voltage regulator, the 3 yellow wires are 3 phases of ac from the stator not sure about the other 2, green is normally ground and if the voltage regulator, that would make blue positive 12VDC for the battery... please check to see the colors of the wires coming out of the engine near the flywheel.... Maybe we can figure out something from them.... Thanks for asking, watching, and commenting!!!

My tao tao 110b has spark when u jump it from the starter but no when u jump it from the battery. Since the only other two wires u don't need go to the voltage regulator and then to the battery is that my problem. Should I just buy a new did and voltage regulator? Plz help

I don't know how long it'll take you to get back with me but I have a 110cc John pagsta mini chopper I've taken a 125 pit bike motor I left the 110 CC wiring harness on the bike and I'm trying to hook up the 125 is there a diagram that you can send me for that or let me know how to hook it up I've been working on for about a week I bought a new coil a regulator and a solenoid when was hooked up to the 110 I wasn't getting any spark so if you could help me out I appreciate it thanks

Hey Harvey trying to wrap my head around this, why do I have two wires coming from my trigger? Do both of these go to the pulse plug on the cdi??
The pickup? blue/white & green? Blue/white is the pickup, green is the sensor ground. Unless you're confusing the Lighting coil with the mag, mag usually has 1 wire coming out, lighting coil has 2
I have a black wire left is it ground it looks to seem it should plug into something but there is nothing..
Hey CallOfGloRay!!! The wire is coming from the engine or it is a loose one from the harness side? U R wiring a pit bike? Is it equipped with a battery??? A black wire can be used as a negative from the battery and ground, can be an engine off switch or Honda uses black as switched +12VDC.... U may have to track it backwards....
