In this video, we're comparing the Victron Smart Shunt vs. Juntek KG140F vs. Juntek VAT1200. Most of us know that the Victron Smart Shunt is one of the better shunts out there in terms of reliability and quality, so we wanted to see how good some of the cheaper shunts were compared to it. This is a basic test to show the broad accuracy of the Junctek options compared to the Victron Smart Shunt.

Do you have any version with WiFi instead of Bluetooth or with smart home connectivity (Tuya, amazon Alexa, Google home etc).

Hi and thanks for the vid. You never did explain why the Victron showed 36% SOC when you specified a 280Ah bat and it measured only 96.2Ah discharge. You actually said that it is very accurate and that people complaining may have had a bad batch. Seems to me that maybe this is why they were complaining? Or maybe you made some goof in the settings? 36% is a far cry from 65.6% isn't it?

Hello! Thank you for creating this video! I have a question regarding its usage. Can the kl110f be used with cars or car starter batteries? If yes, do I need a larger shunt due to the spike in current caused by the car starting? I want to monitor parasitic drain current, which is under 1A. However, I'm unsure if I need a larger shunt as my car battery has 500-600 cold crank amps (Honda Element 4.2L, 4 cylinder). I've seen many people using this product in RVs, but I'm not sure if they're using it on their starter battery or on their secondary/leisure battery only. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on this. Unfortunately, I'm unable to reach the manufacturer.

If you never get a full recharge on the battery, yes the victorn wonders badly. (cycle between 60-90%) If you are able to get a full charge, it resets itself to 100% (resetting the lost accuracy) I had to get rid of it due to that 'feature' as it nearly killed my battery before I realized what was happening. I boondock in the bush and don't always get a chance to charge 100%

If you do not use it for a long time, it is recommended to turn off the display screen, you can turn off the screen by long pressing the key.

Does any of the graphing data remain on the Junctek? Victron deletes it every time you open the app, making it a useless feature. I'm looking for a monitor that keeps that data for review.

The historical data of juntek is saved in the measurement module. You can generate historical curves at any time and export the data of voltage, current and time in the form of tables.

I have installed several of these but today I needed put the battery further from the display. It works with the supplied data cable but when I used a locally purchased 5 meter RJ11 cable the display does not work. Has anyone successfully used a longer cable and can you advise?

The video is really painful. It's really difficult to do worse than that. The Victron shows such a different result from the other two shunts that it makes no sense to make the comparison that the guy had intended. Don't waste other people's time and do something more relevant to your abilities.
